(unsure of what to do here, right now boarding the train and leaving seems like an overreaction when we aren't being actively pursued and there's things going on that we could help with, however the point in coming to this wastebone was to refuel and go, so if that's done then there's no point in staying..)
((I think sending Cathy to a window, or to the doorway to see what's going on gives us more info. It was Winchester that had wanted to visit that building before?))
The vulture swoops to where it has a view into the building, landing on the street some distance from the door if necessary.

(If that's the case, I'll move things along soon, if the party finds no need to pursue this further)
Cathy can't see anything through the boarded up windows, but the open doorway shows a dreary-looking room, with a few coffins piled up here and there and a flight of stairs leading up to a second floor. A pepper-bearded, weathered man cowers at the base of the stairs, which are splintered and gouged with claw marks. There is blood on his head, but from here Cathy cannot tell the severity of the wound, or if is even his.

(Thardoran can assume that the sandmount climbed up the stairs, since they are bent as if something heavy climbed up them, but he isn't sure of Red's exact location.)

He'll leave her with instructions to wait by the door, and return to him if/when the woman and sandmount begin to head out of the building.
((I feel like something interesting might be going on that we're all taking a pass on, but I don't think he would be invested enough, and with one member of the group just dying and him only having shown up and glommed on, he's headed where they're headed, just using Cathy to gather info.))

Isaac's headless corpse in tow, the party eventually reaches their train. Irene stands at its main door, and raises an eyebrow in concern.
"You lot look like shit. Where's the cowboy? Who's the old coot? Is that a corpse?!"
As she voices her concern, Dusty spots a few guards stationed about the port heading towards the group, one of them taking a rifle off of her back. Another howl echoes from within the Flint's, of anguish and rage. There is a crash, then the bang of a gun firing.

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
"shit went south fast, mayor dead, Winch dead, this is the new guy and oh the guards are coming so we better move, like now!" Dusty passes Irene and starts up the train in preparation.
Irene pauses, begins to speak, then stops and just goes inside the train. The rest of the group assumedly begins to file in, but Isoldus stops before entering.
"I cannot go just yet. I came to this town to bring order, and instead we have left it in a state of terrible disarray. The Mayor was unfit to rule, but he was better than anarchy. I cannot in good conscience leave these people lost. I will explain to them how we have freed them from tyranny, and attempt to bring order to this land. The Baron's downfall is still my ultimate goal, but our paths to that goal will diverge here. Perhaps I shall meet you at a later date."
With that, he turns, and holds his hands up as the guards approach. Inside the train, Marcus begins to question the party about the events of the day when he spots the corpse, and goes quite green around the gills. He looks up at Hugeo.
"What the hell are you doing with that here?"

"Don't worry,"Hugeo answers, "I'll toss him into the sands soon enough. Couldn't let what's left of him become a treasure for scavangers. I'll just try to disassemble his arm here first, if you don't mind." Hugeo raises the machine-gun arm.
Hugeo knows he probably can't really disassemble the arm and fix it on his own. The reason to keep this arm is as a token of the departed, mostly. Sentimental reasons, that's all.
Assuming he's allowed to bring the half-corpse on train, he'll work on separating the machine-gun arm from the rest of the body. Once he's done, he'll toss the body into the sands. That's a pirate's burial. Quick and efficient. Just look at where a "proper" burial for Irene's father got them so far.
"By 'old coot', I suppose you must mean me, Miss Irene. Introductions and niceties once we're on board please."
He clambers aboard the train.
"How do we make this thing move? If I've even ridden one, I don't recall how to make it go..."
"I'm Thardoran Stargazer... unless that name means anything to you, and it wasn't attached to someone of my description. You may call me that for now, at least. Cathy and I were passing through, or had that intent, but kind of got stuck here for a week or more, but when I saw you boys facing down Isaac, I knew you were my ticket out of this town."
Once underway, he'd offer to assist Hugeo, having some familiarity with magic and anatomy (proficient in Arcana and Medicine, not sure if Arcana translates to Tech).

(No. Well, not yet, actually. After a short/long rest, Hugeo can change his Investigation proficiency to one of the mentioned options (Whispers of the Dead feature of the Phantom Rogue). So, unless Irene and Marcus push him to get rid of the body early, he'll take the time to go through the information stored in his mechanical eye, until he can get a sense of how to operate the tools. That said, he doesn't actually have the tools on him.)
