Backstory: Nine is an unconventional criminal with hazy family backgrounds. Her origins are ordinary as she came from a small town outskirts the main city. She's considered abnormal due to her elder brothers' mistake of dropping her in a pond after playing hot potato with her infant body. After hitting her head on a rock at the bottom of the pond, she developed an obscure personality. She was the ninth child in a family of family of five, as her mother puts it. She has a history of scamming people out of their coins, ending with her father's imprisonment due to false charges and a mistrial. She and her family are not on speaking terms as of the moment. Her only goals are to explore and raid new lands and destinations.
Backstory: He is born from an agriculturally oriented family. His parents owns many acres of land cultivating livestock and growing hallucinogens and other vegetation. He used to have his trusty goat, Go-Goat, who often followed by his side around the farm. It was his best friend, his only friend, until his parents mistakenly shot it for a sick one. After such traumatic experience, Ashius embarked on a journey to be more in tune with nature and to seek a new companion in place of his goat who turned into stew.

Class/Subclass: Monk / Way of the Open Hand
Background: Guild Artisan / Guild Merchant
Backstory: Zohn was raised poor and became a merchant cobbler. He prides himself on making well-crafted boots. He's a bit of a perfectionist, so he has focused on the quality of his boots at the expense of his pocketbooks. So while he may be the best cobbler in the area, he may also be the poorest. (If we start with a magical item, you better believe they'll be boots of some kind ;).) He has a snaggletooth and shaggy hair and beard. He's shy and speaks with a slight stutter. He's quite soft-spoken and is apologetic when he hurts others.
He's also interested in meditation and focus. At nights for a number of years, he's studied with a local group of monks and has risen to a third level monk, specializing in the Way of the Open Hand. He has only used his skills in practice, but is ready to put his skills to the test.
I would love to get into this one. I was in a previous PBP CoS that dissolved before we got very far.

Name: Finnigan Longtable
Race: Stout Halfling
Class: Bard of Eloquence (TCOE) (level 3)
Background: Entertainer
Backstory: Finnigan got his start at family parties which, in his neck of the woods, were immense in terms of attendance, as well as plentiful in terms of frequency. From a young age he admired his older relatives relating tales of heroism, or reciting beautiful poems, or else recalling delightfully fanciful tales. He began mimicking the storytellers, memorizing the stories, and even inventing his own. He became a master story-teller. Such was his passion that he even left his comfortable hobbit-dale in search of further training and knowledge. Joing a bard's guild, he reached ever-higher echelons of storytelling, both in technique and in content.
All this study awakened something new in him, however. The more heroic stories he learned and related to others got him to thinking, "What heroic things have I done?" He realized that, in order to truly relate to his source material, he would need to gain experience as an adventuring hero. Only then could his stories ring even more truly in the ears of his listeners. And so he began looking for adventures, small at first, then growing in scope as he had successes. Now he's looking for his biggest adventure yet, something that can cement his place in the history books while also giving him unprecedented inspiration to compose and recite his very own Magnum Opus...

Name: Braern Vendan
- Race and Class/Subclass: Hexblood Sorcerer
- Background: Haunted one
- Backstory.
Braern has no memory from outside the realm of the mist. His parents wondered in to the mist and was trapped in this strange place. When their son was born they sought out a wise woman and payed her to bless their child so that he could be better adapted for a life in this strange realm and help them find a way out. To late they realised that they had made a deal with a hag and their baby was turned in to a hexblood. As he grew older his skin turned purple, his hair black with streaks so purple, blue and gray. Around his head a living crown grew. Thin branches, draped in bines, from each side of his head meet in the center of his forehead. Once he turned 30 tattoos started to cover his skin. Strange symbols that none of them understood. Soon after the tattoos started showing up Braern’s parents abandoned him in a small village. He did not blame them for this but he regretted never seeing them again. The local villagers feared him, but also took pity on him. They made sure he hade food, clothes and he was always welcome to sleep in their barns. But he was on the outside. So he started to travel the land, learning the secrets that the mist holds and discovering the magic that had been infused in him by the hag. He also learned more and more what it meant to be a hexblood and the more he learned the more he started to fear hags, most of all the hag that had made him in to what he was. As he traveled through out the lands he always tried to help traveler and newcomers to make sure that his and his parents fate was not to be repeated.
- Race and Class/Subclass Barovian fire genasi/Lore Bard or Ranger (fey wanderer but I don't own the content so it'll stay hunter)
- Background: Cinder was raised amongst predominantly human populations. Although their real parents were never known to them they were treated with kindness. It's rumored the head village elder and famous sorceress, Amella Taragoš, of Krezk is their maternal grandmother but that's just rumors. Cinder had a happy childhood living with their adoptive family helping in their family's forge and farrier on the outskirts of Krezk commune rarely coming into contact with the clutches of Strahd! It wasn't until Cinder's betrothed was stolen away in the night did they wander nearer to Ravenloft seeking those who stole their love away!
Amelia was born in Elturel, to a married human woman who had a brief fling with a traveling elf—one who was long gone by the time she realized she was pregnant. Though her mother was distant and her stepfather cold, her half-siblings for the most part never treated her differently, for better or for worse. Amelia loved them, and felt she would do anything for them. And when Elturel was plunged into Avernus, that was put to the test.
Push came to shove, and Amelia did what she had to--she made a deal with a devil of Levistus for her family's safety. In exchange, she hunts down followers of her archdevil’s sworn enemy, Asmodeus, and was granted psionic powers to use as a tool. She couldn’t leave Elturel fast enough once the city was free, yet she's never really been able to leave it behind. With the devil’s whispers in her head always beckoning her towards the next target in her waking hours and Avernus haunting her in her nightmares, Amelia's never been at peace since. And she's gotten used to that.
backstory: Hatched on the Island of Chult in the middle of a undead surge attack. Dod was born with no pigmentation, his pure white shell and skin was considered a sign the Gods would intervene in the battle against the undead hoard. None of the native Gods of Chula appeared, but another divine figure who called himself Marduk took pity on the people and smote the undead. He called on a number of Tortle and human peasants and consecrated them as Clerics of Marduk. He gave them Instructions to build a monestary on one of the coastal Islands. They did as Instructed and brought the albino Tortle with them. They Instructed him from a young age, expecting he would become a cleric like them. After learning the art of reading, he spent his free time pouring over stories of Valor and might. Of knights of purity and honor, defending the down trodden and oppressed. At first he trained in secret. So as Not to disappoint his monestary family. Eventually he was caught and he begged to leave the island to train formally to be the first knight of the order of Marduk. The monks thought it strange. How would a lumbering tortle be able to do what a knight would need to do? How would he learn the sword, the Lance? After many weeks of fervent fasting and prayer, Marduk himself appeared to Abbott. He Instructed him to grant Dod his desire and send him to live and train with a foster in the city of Waterdeep, on the sword coast. The very next day Dod was place other boat and sent to his apprenticeship
