Grianne sinks down a bit, A little sad that Calgin lost. And also that Eider seems to have completely forgotten about the button and hasn't returned it since her last victory over him

(Since both the Tower fight and the Bog fight are happening at night, I'm guessing they're happening one after the other.)
"...A human paladin Elysa!"
Basil's announcement rings in Eldin's ears and seem to repeat twenty times a second inside his head. Eldin's eyes widen in surprise and he mutters under his breath, "Elysa? No, it can't be." He bolts upright on his chair and focuses on the magic screen to see if it really is the same Elysa Lionheart he knew from the orphanage. His heart beats fast and a look of anxiety falls over his face.
If those who saw Eldin fight saw him now, they'd know that the green tiefling had never looked this worried even when he was on the verge of losing.
Eldin was my first character so a lot of stuff about him is not as it should be.
While writing the backstory, I didn't come up with Elysa's full name. When I did, I forgot to add it in. So, if this NPC is the same character then it is Elysa Lionheart. Another thing I didn't mention is that Eldin does not have the best relationship with her. According to Eldin, there is no such thing as a good guy and bad guy. Even the biggest of villains think that they're doing the right thing. That's not what Elysa believes though. According to her, everyone can be classified in to either good or evil. Eldin's mercenary ways and cheap tactics are evil. According to her, Eldin was a good guy but then, he was corrupted by evil because he decided to be a mercenary instead of helping her slay "evil". She tries to get Eldin to "switch to the good side". Most of the letters they exchange mostly contains bickering.
This is why Eldin had a negative reaction when her name was announced. Sorry if that wasn't what you're going for.)
I explained it in PM? That's good then. Eldin may have awesome memory but my memory is pretty shit. When this campaign is over, (when Eldin wins 2 fights at Lv 20) I need to remake this character.
Honestly, It was a pleasant surprise to have a character from Eldin's backstory show up like this. I was just worried because I thought I didn't explain the situation and that would be problematic.
Eldin stares at the human paladin and his face grows even more grim. He mutters, "Damn, it is her" as he slumps back down in his chair with a thud. He looks utterly defeated. He wipes the cold sweat from his forehead with a small napkin as a million different thoughts rush through his head at blinding speeds.
This can't be happening. It's all just a bad dream, right? Oh Hades, this isn't a nightmare. This is actually happening. Why did it have to happen now? I finally got the chance to spend time with the girl I like and now THIS? Is this a sick joke from Hades? No, he wouldn't do something like this to me. Just calm down and think. Why? Why is she here of all places? Don't tell me she hunted me down through my letter! No, that's not possible. I take great care to not leave any hints to my whereabouts in those. Josias! Did he tell Celia where I was? Did Elysa hunt me down through our caretaker? Eldin! You're letting your anxieties get the better of you; Calm the hell down!
Eldin takes a deep breath and closes his eyes.
Okay, the only way she could've known where I was, was if Josias told Celia about it. If that's the case... Why would she be in the arena instead of here in the Glory? There's no way the laughing man told Celia about me and not about our tavern. There is no reason why she would be down there fighting the new guys unless...
With a flash of insight, Eldin's eyes snap open.
That's it! She doesn't know I'm here. It was just horrible luck that she decided to come here. Okay, as long as I stay put and keep an eye out, I should be fine. There's no way she can find me if I hid. Gotta pray to Hades so that she doesn't come up here. If she does, there's always my trusty stealth skills. For now, just enjoy Grianne's company.
(You guys write these backstories for your characters. I actually do read them. I had all these plans for Zagga's mom. Then she fell in love, fell to the dark side, and disappeared.)
While Eldin is clearly lost in though, Grianne's curiosity gets the better of her and she is slowly inching her fingers toward Eldin's horns ( i assume you have horns as a tiefling. unless i completely read the wrong post and your not a tiefling)

Eldin is lost thinking about his current predicament and doesn't notice anything until Grianne finally touches his horns. At which point, he gets startled and let out a short scream.
"N-No, don't worry about it." Eldin says as he sinks back into his chair slowly, his face gaining a red hue. "It doesn't hurt when touched so it's fine. You just startled me a bit. That's all." Eldin rubs his horns and says, "Hmm... People can't normally have horns. Tieflings are a special case. They have demonic blood flowing through them which causes them to look a bit... monstrous to some. The horns come with the demonic look."
Demonic? I'm not sure what that means, but i always liked the animals with horns. Grianne makes a quick gasp and puts her hands up to her face Is that why you're green?

"Er... Yeah." Eldin is not sure whether he should be happy that Grianne complemented him or sad because she compared him to a forest animal. He decides to roll with it. "My green skin is also thanks to being a tiefling. As for what demonic means... Have you ever heard stories about big scary monsters that hurt and manipulate people and live in another world? Those are demons. They come from hell and are generally all evil. Things resembling or relating to these guys are demonic."

Baryk, you find a disused warehouse being sold for 30,000 gold or you can rent it for 900 a month. (30/day)

Eldin,
I didn't expect a positive reaction. You had explained the state of their relationship in PMs long long ago.
I hadn't planned to toss her in just now, but those dang dice keep throwing Paladin at me. So here she is.
