Eldin sees Calgin get burned. He was about to make a comment about cooking turtles but he glances at Grianne and stops himself. He decides that making comments about the person she's rooting for get burned may not be very helpful for his attempts to get on the elf's good side.

(wasn't it eldin that thought grainne might be a new fan favorite and was thinking of a way to profit off of that ?) 

(He was? I know about the fan-favorite part but I don't recall him trying to profit off of it. He may have mentioned it in passing (which I don't remember) but he wasn't serious about that.)

(it was like 2 months ago. i dont remember it all either)

(You SHOULD feel bad!  I never even attacked anyone that fight, why you gotta flatten me like that! :P)

(I thew a fuzzy ball.  It just happened to turn into a lion.  Was hoping for a giant boar.  But my statement stands.  I never attacked anyone :P) 

Eider walks right up to Calgin "Sir, I understand you are from an exotic land. And even have a very unique fighting style. But for all the gods who fights with GOATS?!"

(To be fair Klong was champ and he used Giant Weasels)

Calgin chuckles at Eider.  They weren't my first choice, but there's an element of chance in what I get from the bag.   Just be glad they weren't the bears or giant boars I was hoping for.

(I'm just glad I didn't get 3 rats.  And that was a terrible map for a lot of the animals I can get from my rust bag.  Too many of them need to move 20 feet in a straight line bfeore attacking to get full effect.)

Eider laughs as well "I have never fought a goat before. That was new. As a former ally let me apologize for burning you."

Nalok walks in and hears the conversation going on between Calgin and Eider and decides to walk over and join.

"Gotta admit your surprised me for a moment then when you threw the large cat at me"

Calgin waves off the apology.  No apology necessary.  We were not allies in this fight.  It was a rather unexpected new trick, and seemed quite effective.

"Gotta agree with that, they cause all amounts of chaos on the field, poor Eider here seemed to be getting the bad end of the deal!"

( So, I went back and checked. Lots of stuff happened in 2 months. Eldin did think Grianne was a fan favorite and suggested changing the betting odds to profit. But no one paid attention and Eldin basically let the idea drop.)

As Calgin and his team loses, Eldin can't help but wince a little. He glances at Grianne and tries to gauge her feelings through facial expressions.

Insight 18

The only thing he ends up "gauging" is how nice her facial features are.

Calgin grins at Nalok. If nothing else it was entertaining watching him get chased around the arena by a pair of giant goats.  That last strike by yourself was quite impressive as well. 

Urrk walks in, groggy. He sits at the bar and sighs.
