This was actually the first campaign I have ever been in. Sad to see it go but good run. I think BDad created something special with this thread. For starters, it had almost 2000 pages. Secondly, I think it inspired many others to get into DMing. I mean, look at all the "PVP arena - Always recruiting" type campaigns there are now. Thirdly, this campaign and BDad himself, helped me out immensely to run my own campaigns.
Thanks for running this and all the advice you gave me, BDad.
Currently playing in: Quest for the Shunned City, Coliseum of Conquest, DragonDenn's Dragonlords, Shipwrecked on Fugue, Tomb of Annihilation, Razor's Lost Mine of Phandelver, The Lost Kenku & One Grung Above
Currently DMing: Princes of the Apocalypse, Out of the Abyss, Coliseum of Conquest—The Arena (Sometimes)
This was definitely a lot of fun and BDaddly has done an amazing job, he is a good DM and I do hope some takes the mantle and keeps this going because it is a good thread and when I was new to D&D beyond, this was the only game I felt like I could get into and enjoy. Thanks for all the hard work you put in BDaddly! You truly did create something special here.
Morthos Salazar Level 7 Ranger, leaves during all the chaos in the mountains as he promised to do with Gorbal. Morthos offers Gorbal the chance to come still if Gorbal is inclined.
If not Morthos will continue to do what he has always done travel and explore. Leaving during the chaos... To Waterdeep
You've done well, BDaddly. This campaign led to possibly the finest character I've ever made, and I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. It's a real shame that it ends here, but I shall continue nonetheless
From the ashes of a destroyed building, Banjo Man rose again. He may have been hideous to behold, and unpleasant in personality, but he was resilient, he was clever, and, most of all, he was Banjo Man. The people needed a leader in these hard times, but he likely would not be it. People just don't look to an undead monstrosity for leadership, after all. That wouldn't stop him from trying to rebuild, but, for now, he did what he did best: he simply sat down, and played the banjo.
(OOC: I am willing to try and fill Bdaddles shoes. While no one will make this what he made it, I will do my best to run it in the exact same manner he did in both spirit and rulings. This does mean Eider will have to be retired. Eider will be an NPC in the same vein as Daisy and so many others we've all fought alongside. If everyone wants to go this direction please give me time to sift through his notes and get caught up on the 2 in progress matches. I will post back here when i feel sufficiently prepared for this monumental responsibility. It'll probably be a few days with work and other IRL concerns. For now though....)
With all this going on Eider stumbles from the ashes and rubble. Was he really so deep in his studies he missed an attack? He looks around, searching for survivors. Knowing a safe place to take any who'd welcome the help and sanctuary.....
Eider leads and directs those he can to his and Torens school for Arcane Study and Defenses. A massive courtyard has been set up with arcane sigils and runes running all through ley lines along the ground. Beyond it a 3 story manor, seemingly benign awaits. As he approaches the doors and rooms are open to all who need shelter, free of charge in light of these trying circumstances. Inside those who come will find a foyer, temperate and relaxing. Beyond guests find a Lounge complete with multiple hearths, first 3, then 5, as well as tables and chairs. As the room fills there seems to be more room to accommodate them all. There is a Tavern Bar with all manner of drink on shelves behind it. From the freshest of spring waters to the most diabolical of liquors. Standing there waiting, polishing his axe is a familiar face Obsidian Field, seemingly serving as barman and potential Bouncer. (OB was a character my brother had, but he's fallen out of posting and probably wont be back. new Fatherhood responsibilities and all that.). Along the walls and inlaid int he tables are Orbs of Scrying. All showing the empty runic courtyard. There is a stairway that leads to a Mezzanine complete with accounts and records of past battles as well as a table set up to accept and deal in betting and gambles. a Large central orb of Scrying hangs from the center of this 40 ft space directly over the betting table. It is surrounded by large chairs and lounging sofas for those with Interest to sit events unfold, if they were so inclined.
Another door, across from the lounge leads to a room with two grand stairways lead upwards, two towards rooms in the East and West wings of the manor, with hallways very similiar to the Lounge. The rooms are decorated quite exotically, it seems each room is its own demiplane. you can sleep in a wooded meadow, or in an igloo on the frozen tundra. Or for the more relaxed, in a nice tavern room, feather pillows, stiff bed, and itchy blankets.
More of the Manor needs to be explored and finished in its construction, but for now Eider focuses on his goal. Protect and Prepare. With Obs aid, as well as those who come to this Academy. He vows to make sure no such tragedy happens again.
After things quiet down a little, and people are tended too, Eider sends his owl north to seek potential aid.
Swigg and Belle look outside of the library miraculously untouched by the chaos. She squeezes Swiggs hand and he assures her that everything going to be ok.
(I’m alright with this. No one can replace BDaddLy, but we can do our best to make this as good as we can.)
From the rubble, Poleygoneal’s lifeless body, surrounded by dolls, lies. Suddenly, his owl picks up a certain human-shaped one, and presses it to his chest. P-Gon glows with a green light as he transforms from a Loxodon to a human man, wielding a staff. He holds his dolls and slowly makes his way to Eider’s mansion.
Mazara materializes from a pillar of radiant energy, shaking his fist at the sky alongside a new companion mimicking the same motion. As he turns to her as if to give voice to his complaints, he looks around in astonishment at the ruins at the state of things. Seeing the mob approach from out of a previously shattered window, confusion gives way to worry then to determination. Mazara says nothing as he slips on his helmet, and moves to intercept them.
He had no plan. There was little in it for him. But something had happened while away, and he was determined to set things right. The sprite seated at on a shoulder seemed less than pleased, but rode along anyways with at least one hand on her bow.

Banjo Man saw that everybody was making their way towards a mansion, so he joined them in their journey. He, of course, continued playing the banjo. Perhaps he could get a drink, and discuss the rebuilding of civilization.
(Note: for those who have not met this undead monstrosity yet, this may be a good opportunity to meet him
Hans, unsure of what had really occurred, had he really drank so much that he managed to miss an attack, or was there just a spacial jump in time while he was blacked out? He gets up from underneath some rubble and decides to find out what he can do to help with doing any repairs to the town until his next bout in the coliseum.

Nykkan Fharngnarthnost: Dragonborn Monk (4)...Coliseum of Conquest (3) {1W-6L} [Brewer]
Hans Stormsong: Human Monk (1)...Colosseum of Conquest (3) {0W-1L}
Gorbal protected his eyes from the aftermath of the destruction as the wind picked up new found dust and tore it through the wreckage of the city.
He nods to Morthos. "Better now than never!" he says following in his footsteps. "Looks like they have it all sorted now anyway." he says hinting at the band of adventurers heading towards a mansion.
Gorbal follows Morthos to the mountains looking for a different pace of adventure. The skull of a goblin forever rattling on his staff.
A shield sparks and flashes around Sha'kar as he rises out of the rubble of the tavern, the shield having protected him from the falling debris in the disaster. He gapes a bit as he stares around at the destruction around him, and notices a number of the other fighters from the coliseum heading towards a mansion in the distance. Shaking off his disorientation and brushing some of the dust off of himself, he clambers over the debris and out of the remains of the tavern, then follows the others.

A weary warhorse stumbles through the doors of the mansion, an unconscious halfling on its back.
The halfling slumps onto the ground, a large gash along his side reopening as he hits the floor. A small cat jumps out of the horse's saddlebags and licks its master's cheeks.
