You break camp and head off East, through the woods, avoiding the main road which has regular patrols of the living and the dead, sticking to game trails where possible. It takes a couple of days of cold camps but you finally find yourself peering out at a large manor house in a fenced in country estate. The lawns are neatly trimmed and the gates are finely wrought iron with gold filigree. The name plate reads Maison D'Engel.
How shall we approach this? I have the power to make two of us temporarily invisible. We could use it to get an idea of the layout and security of the building from outside or two could knock on the front door and cause a distraction while the invisible two try and go through the back?
I can make myself invisible once a day too so may I suggest our sneaky friend here progresses au natural so to speak and the rest of us pop a few spells?
Argetlam pops put of sight too. You hear a faint clanging as he scales the fence after Oriki and then softly pads up across the lawn towards the manor house
Oriki separates the foliage and passes through silently. Draskan and Sheridan unable to see each other now have to navigate the fencing independently of each other. Oriki sidles up to the buildinn proper and peers through the corner of a large window.
Theres a large dining table in the middle of the room around which you see 4 large abominations, they look like two dwarves smashed together, extra limbs and heads in a grotesque amalgamation of flesh. Two small women hover around them with serving trays, hunks of undecipherable meat laying wetly and uncooked on each.
Having been able to enter the room undetected, Draskan swings for the head of one of the Abominations, making contact and leaving char marks on one side. Draskan deftly adjusts his grip to bring the maul back in the direction from which it came
The first one crumples onto its seat, one of its head now smashed into its chest cavity, the other just ragged chunks of flesh. A second squeals in pain as Draskan pops into sight, ending the invisibilty spell by attacking.
Draskan swings again for the same abomination, smashing his maul into its chest. As he sees his weapon imbed itself into its flesh and the abomination slump forward, He looks across the table at the other abominations, with a roar he pulls his maul free, swing it at the face of the abomination directly opposite before lifting it up to crash down on its head
He does terrible damage to the third dwarven abomination shattering the jaw of the vestigal second head. It lurches upwards grabbing a serving platter as a shield and lashes out at Draskan with its pick and spear. It misses once but causes two glancing blows (12 points total to Draskan)
The other remaining abomination swells up to twice its size and scream’s bloodthirstily at Draskan
Hoping the invisible voice will not give the same level of warning to their enemies, Sheridan moves to where he can best see the chandelier and fires off a repelling Eldritch Blast of pure force
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sheridan pops into sight as the chandelier falls down smashing into the table and causing 21 bludgeoning damage to everyone or half if they succeed a DC15 dex save
The jagged shards of wood impale one of the witches and the other is crushed beneath the remains of an abomination and chandelier combo. Only one of the abominations remain standing and it is heavily wounded.
The sudden onslaught is too much and the abomination roars are cut off as the blades silence it permanently. Theres no respite though as the crashing of the chandelier draws the attention of the other denizens of the chateaux. Looking up you see 6 more of the disfigured dwarves staring down at you and the slapping of feet one stone of others coming down the stairwells

I agree, we should move swiftly

Being invisible would certainly help, I fear trying to sneak in myself would lead us to be discovered
Oriki nods in agreement and smiles, clearly liking the idea.
Sounds good to me. I'll go ahead.
Oriki moves slowly forward starting a route around the outside of the hedge, looking for a way to get through quietly...
Sheridan weaves the invisibility spell, making himself and Draskan invisible for the next hour.
Argetlam pops put of sight too. You hear a faint clanging as he scales the fence after Oriki and then softly pads up across the lawn towards the manor house

(21 bludgeoning Damage, 22 fire damage)
Draskan then brings his maul crashing down on to the head of the next abomination

Draskan! Above you!

Oriki, still hidden, quietly draws his blades before running at the remaining abomination, slashing at it with shortsword and rapier
