Pocketing the unidentified potions Sheridan regroups with the others and you head out of the manor house. Argetlam pauses behind you for a few moments before hurrying to catch up. As you head into the forest the smell of burning chases you into the dawn.
You wearily trudge through the forest, returning to the Dreadwyrm camp near dusk. The camp fires are alight as you enter the palisade and hot food is proffered to you. Well done lads, you’ve earned a rest. Ill check in with the boss wyrm and catch up to you in the morning. With that Argetlam slopes off towards the centre of the camp and the ramp down to Kaldira’s lair
Sheridan finds a quiet corner to commune with his patron for some advice about what to do next. He explains what he's learned, even though his master is probably fully aware
To find the secrets between you and Irik you need to find the Rift Spanner an arcanotech dimensional transporter that you were both working on. Styrix the Night Hag was last seen in ownership of it but I do not know where the foul creature is now........ there is a sensation of white noise in your mind and your patrons voice becomes fainter as if through a barrier What?..... Bastard interlopers!...... Disrupting my power..... Losing connection....Find the gilded serpent.... will assist... STOP THEM!!!!............. Nevuchar Springs........ and then nothing.
You reappear in the shaded lair of Kaldira. Draskan sensing her immense presence lurking all about them but unable to make out anything in the darkness. With Draskan translating Sheridan asks what she knows about Nevuchar Springs and Styrix the Night Hag.
She explains that Nevuchar Springs is located North East of here. Colorful chemical lanterns limn the paths of Nevuchar Springs, following carved cliff trails that descend to the Nocturnal Sea and paved stairs rising to the famed cavern pools in the nearby hills. Here the town’s elf mystics, known as the Eternal Order, study alchemy and the rare properties of their famed amber hot springs. Secretive traditions veil their methods, but the miraculous effects of their practices are undeniable. Those in need of healing or relaxation visit the famous Cascana Sanitarium, a lavish spa.
She knows not of Styrix but gives you information on what Night Hags are in general.
Sly and subversive, night hags want to see the virtuous turn to villainy: love turned into obsession, kindness turned to hate, devotion to disregard, and generosity to selfishness. Night hags take perverse joy in corrupting mortals.
Night hags were once creatures of the Feywild, but their foulness saw them exiled to Hades long ago, where they degenerated into fiends. The night hags have long since spread across the Lower Planes.
If one is loose in Darkon you will only need to follow rumours of villagers going missing or becoming overwhelmed with bloodlust and you will surely find her without too much trouble.
Kaldira huffs in the darkness Worry not little warlock it is not a term of offense. I believe it is a description of someone or thing. I can sense your concern for your patron, which is wise, I would recommend heading straight to Nevuchar Springs. Unfortunately I must retain the services of Aregtlam, you have struck a blow against the Khargat but they are still a threat in this area. Before you depart though we shall restock your travel supplies with rations and water
Leaving the shadow dragons lair you return to the surface and fresh air. The oppressive nature of the dragons aura fading behind you. You rejoin Oriki and spend some time looking for Argetlam only to be informed that he has already departed on another errand. You’re given a weeks worth of travel rations and directions towards Nevuchar Springs, setting off with a renewed sense of urgency. The first day and night pass without much of note. Towards the end of the second day you stumble across a lumberjack’s encampment, reinforced against the wilds and offering a safe haven for the night.
You warm yourselves at the camp fire and share supplies with the lumberjacks. They in return share their whiskey and trade stories before retiring to bed. Of note were tales of a small hamlet 4 days north east of here, called Little Coson, where the residents have started going missing
Sheirdan spends some tome trying to coax Irik out of Draskan’s talisman but your connection to the powers of undeath is strained and he is unable to materialise and communicate
Draskan leads the way through the game trails of the thick forest, following the rough directions given to you the night before you make good progress. The forest starts to become sickly looking, damp moss coats everything and the limbs of the trees hang limp. You near a clearing and spot the sweaty face of the bounty hunter you defeated on your escape from the city lurking in underbrush across the way
You hear a slight squeak as he ducks farther into the brush before he coughs and then reappears. Oh yeah? Made an impression did I? Not surprised really. Hard to forget the legendary bounty hunter Jimothy Wallace! Now I track led you all this way so why dont you jus surrender now eh? Make it easy fer everybody?

Sheridan will ask Draskan if he will come with him to ask Kaldira about Styrix and Nevuchar Springs, explaining why if Draskan is interested.
Draskan nods and will join sheridan

Draskan, could you ask what she knows of a 'gilded serpent' if that's not an offensive term?

Sheridan gives his thanks and then leaves the shaded lair, giving Draskan some space to speak with Kaldira should he need it

The following morning, enjoying a night inside and out of the elements, you bid the lumberjacks farewell and head in the direction of Little Coson

Sheridan raises his hand, ready to blast
I remember you. You threw knives at me. They hurt.
Sheridan casts Mage Hand at a point just behind Jimothy, close enough for him to feel it at his back.
Sorry, I've been having problems with my memory. Can't remember how to surrender. Why don't you show me?
Oh aye I'll show you how to do it..... Jimothy raises his hands over his shoulders and throws a dagger at Sheridan (23 to hit) dealing 7 damage
Oriki turns to Sheridan with an enquiring eye as he draws his rapier
Friend of yours eh?
