"Ankita and Melchor... have either of you got any magic that could help? I dunno... something that could part the river and let us walk in? Float us up over the walls? Turn us invisible? Anything?"

“If you could help us to breathe underwater, we could carry some heavy stones to weigh us down, walk on the floor of the river under the water, and head to the secret boat entrance, then climb up there and enter. What about that?” Olaerys readies his pack, trying to look brave but worried about their chances. “Is there anywhere that we could take a long sleep and regain our energy before we begin this?”

"I was going offer that I could conjure up some crocodiles, but that would only be 4 and I think Olaerys's idea of walking on the floor of the river is a good one."Ankita starts looking around for heavy stones.

It takes a bit of searching, especially taking care that the tower guards don't see you, but you are able to spot some stones by the river that should work.
Shrek quietly chuckles at Ankita as she returns with the stones. "Those little pebbles big 'nuff to sink big Shrek and big Ankita?!"

Shrek grabs one or two of the largest boulders he can find, and patiently waits for Melchor's underwater breathing spell.
"Think we see big fish-things under da water? We be on alert for fightin' under dere?" he silently whispers to the group as they ready to head across the river, underwater.
”Melchor, cast that breathing underwater spell on us, let’s pick up some heavy stones and walk across the river, approach unseen and head toward that secret entrance.” Olaerys looks ready.

Ankita smiles at Shrek, "These aren't little pebbles! That's what took me so long, tried to find ones to keep big Shrek and big Ankita on the floor of the river. Though.. I must say, breathing underwater? Makes me a bit nervous but a little thrilling as well. I'm ready when you are Melchor!"
Randall seems different today. To this point, he has followed the group. Curious more so than convicted, he wanted to know what was behind all of this trouble plaguing his home. Now, having seen the danger these cultists represent, he looks resolute; eager, even.
"Come friends. Let us return to Rivergard Keep and see what lurks in these dark waters."

Night falls, and Melchor leads the way to the shore. The full moon illuminates things well so it takes some time and care to get there without going seen. "This will take some time, 10 minutes or so". While he makes motions incantations the rest of you use find rocks to hold your drag you down.
Once he finishes you all go to the edge and wade in. The sensation is strange as your lungs fill with water but you find yourself able to get oxygen from it. It takes a minute to reach the bottom but the Desserin is not that deep. 30 feet or so.
You swim under the chain guarding the Keeps dock and past a boat that is moored. The water is shallower here, about 15 feet. You find the entrance the guard talked about. There is a large iron grate leading to a stream in a tunnel. You can see inside there is a hidden boat launch. The grate has a lock on it, but it is not locked.

FindingNemoShrek (or is it AquamanShrek?) will first look around to make sure that no one is under water with them, watching them. (Perception: 18). If seeing/sensing anyone, he’ll undo the lock from the grate and open it.
Olaerys nods at Shrektopus and smiles, giving him a thumbs up. He pulls the lock off the grate and helps him to lift it. If they are successful, he looks to move through and find his way to the secret entrance. He holds his heavy rock in a certain position to indicate that he has the stones to go through with this, flexing his bicep and giving him a big grin.

As Olaerys holds his 'stones' Ankita looks at him, confused, but heads under the gate if they are able to get it up and looks for the secret entrance (are they still under water?)
It is hard to see in the water, between the lack of light and the inkiness of it. Shrek can't see anything underwater but does feel whoosh of warmer water flow past him quickly. Melchor signals to the others to quietly surface. Once above water, you can see you a torchlit chamber where two boats bob in an underground stream. The stream flows toward daylight to the east and leads upstream into darkness toward the west. The river is close to thirty feet wide, and the cave ceiling is about six feet above the water level in the middle.
"I had Glimmer go ahead of us. He saw a man barrel chested man dock a boat from upstream and go in a door there.", pointing to the landing and a door just beyond it. "The image I saw through its eyes look a lot like 'Jolly'"
"I'll take point," offers Randall. "Just to be clear, what's the play here? First guard I meet... am I trying to sneak past? Take him prisoner? Kill him fast?"

Melchor looks at the scrolls the dead water priest had. "I will need help swimming, but I can make us breath underwater for the day"
(JorvikDave, sorry for posting for Melchor if you are here)

Update coming tonight
It is hard to see in the water, between the lack of light and the inkiness of it. Shrek can't see anything underwater but does feel whoosh of warmer water flow past him quickly. Olaerys says “Right. So through that door Melchor? Who wants to lead?” He looks for an exit from the water and path to the door.
