"Well, are there any shovels or anything in those wagons to use to help bury the deceased? If not, I think Shrek and I can pull the wagon on to Summit Hall possibly." The scent is getting to Ankita and she just wants a decision to be made.
"Yes. Whether it is digging graves here or loading the dead and pushing them to Summit Hall, I will put my back into the labor."

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
As you are loading the wagons, a group of 4 knights appear. They are cautious as they approach, hands on swords, but the leader yells out "Well met! Pray tell what atrocity has occurred here? If you are responsible for these corpses it shall be avenged. The Knights of Samular will not tolerate such foulness."

As the knights approach, Ankita waves. When they ask if they had anything to do with the corpses, she is shocked, how can they ask that of them? "That's a bit presumptuous. We have found this unfortunate field while heading South and were loading up the bodies as we didn't want to leave them to rot. We do not know what has happened, other than it looks like bugbears were here. What business do you have traveling through?"
Both Ankita and Melchor have heard of the Knights of Samular, but in no great detail. They are an order of Paladins and Knights who worship Tyr. They inhabit Summit Hall.
"Peace Firbolg, the Desserin Valley requires caution these days. Do not take offense because we exercise it. I'm afraid we have just found what we were looking for. We seek the missing delegation from Mirabar. They were bringing home the remains of one of our members. Do you know what happened here?
How they wandered so far off the road is curious. They put up quite a fight it seems. This ... concerns me." he says, picking up the stone mask on the ground. "This mask belongs to the Sacred Stone monks. They live in a monestary, over in the hills. More or less exactly where those tracks head"
"I apologize, I have just never been accused of such atrocities before. I understand caution though. Why, we are seeking the missing delegation from Mirabar! Right fellas?" Ankita has a look of excitement mixed with confusion on her face as she looks to the rest of her party to make sure she is correct.
Shrek responds back with a mighty bellow of "Yep....", with obvious depression in his voice due to the somberness of the occasion. And the smell.
"Are deese guys...delly-gashion?" he asks out loud to no one in particular, whilst pointing to the growing pile of bodies that they're collecting onto one of the wagons.

Olaerys says “It seems that we are hunting the same thing. Should we follow this trail? We would welcome your company, but… we are cautious as well.” Olaerys tips his head and regards them, their attire and story.

We experienced our own troubles there and decided to looking into what befell these poor travelers to see if the matters were related. I worry they are.”

Olaerys is very familiar with the Knights of Samular. They are followers of Tyr, and the Order of the Gauntlet has been making efforts to try and recruit them and told them into their fold. They are Holy crusaders, beholden to the legend and memory of the Caradoon brothers, a trio of Paladins who's exploits 500 years ago are renowned.
"A fellow paladin? Once again, well met. Do you have reason to suspect these monks? We do not know much about them; they keep to themselves. We can accompany you to the monestary where they have taken residence, but we cannot get too close. We are... forbidden from the monestary grounds by order of our leader.
This does appear to be the remains of the delegation, though these corpses appear to be guards only"
Olaerys nods and bows his head in a showing of respect to the knights, and chooses to speak openly of his allegiance. “My name is Olaerys, I am with the Order of the Gauntlet and Helm has guided me here to you. These are my companions and they have joined me in investigating strange happenings near Red Larch. We traveled to Beliard and we are in search of a delegation headed to the Summit hall. We have found these odd characters in stone masks, some cult apparently that may have participated in the attack, but we don’t have a good handle on who exactly is involved yet. There seem to be a number of bugbears who were involved in this attack but we don’t know who is directing them. I for one would enjoy your company and I think we should follow this trail to the monastery and see what we can uncover there. Speaking as a member of the Order, I would hope that there could be an even closer alliance between the Knights of Samular and our Order, I have heard that our goals are in alignment.”

He nods in appreciation. "We respect the Order. Perhaps some day. Captain Caradoon is more open minded than her ancestors, and might be willing to listen. Good is good and evil is evil at the end of the day. We will accompany you. If these monks are responsible for this, it is of great import to us"
He extends his hand to shake, and nods to his men to help out with the dead.

Let us proceed after we load these wagons and handle the dead.” Olaerys helps with loading the wagon with the dead bodies. “Can one of the horses help to pull this?” He prepares to follow the trail to the monastery.

After helping to load the last remaining soul onboard their makeshift hearse, Shrek wipes the beads of sweat from his brow, bends down to one knee and says a silent prayer for the lost.
Standing back up tall, he helps to orient the wagon to head down the trail towards the monastery. Once on their way, he finds the biggest looking knight there is (besides Olaerys, of course!), extends his hand to offer a hearty shake, and says "Shrek sad for your loss. Bad evil in this world. Hurt peoples who did nothing wrong." And after a long pause of silence, "Me make right."
