Trusting in his protection from these evil creatures given by Helm, Olaerys wades into battle and maneuvers his way behind them, flanking them and hopefully helping his companions to fight them from the front as well. He swings his battle axe from behind them.

Frustration growing at his combat ineptitude, Shrek blows out a calming breath, trying to cool his nerves. After a couple seconds of relaxing, he goes in for another strike with his halberd:
Randall notices the knights seem more effective than he is at fighting these monsters. He spends his next round pounding his spear on his shield and trying to draw the attacks of at least one of the gargoyles to him, freeing up the knights to attack without reprisal.

The stone creatures barely take notice of Randall's attempts to draw their ire; they almost seem amused if these creatures could be said to have that emotion.
One is starting to appear badly wounded, and you notice that Melchor and Ankita's Attack seem more effective than the rest.
Sensing the tide turning, the knights redouble their efforts.
Unable to make himself a target, Randall shrugs and goes back to trying to stab the gargoyles, targeting the one that looks most near-death.
