Estelle ponders a moment. "I believe he said that the beacon is here, in the highest tower, and that 'to get the beacon you must travel to Castle Ravenloft and take my skull from the Hall of Bones'. I imagine we bring it back here - restore it to Argynvosholt, where it belongs, thus enabling us to light the beacon. This won't be an easy feat - I imagine the skull is enormous. But...one step at a time, I suppose."
Baudric thinks for a moment, "You can get it for us? Or you can help us get it? If you can get it for us, maybe we can use the time to search for anything useful in the rest of the castle. Do we need anything else from the castle?"
"I'm always looking for stuff in the castle, but I can help you get there," Ez says. "You'll have to get the skull yourselves. I can help you. I probably should since that thing is huge."

I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
"Don't worry," Bral says calmingly to Ez. "We will take care of the skull. However, if you can help us in any way possible then that will be appreciated."
He then turns his attention to Estelle.
"I'm guessing in Strahd's own pride and his belief of superiority he doesn't always pay attention to the activities in his own castle. He probably assumes no one would dare enter it."

Ez chuckles. "Oh he assumes people would enter it all of the time. He's even invited people for dinner - actual dinner - to test their meddle and let them roam around the castle. Castle Ravenloft has a few openings that I know about. I can get you inside."

Bral shakes his head, "He clearly is arrogant causing him to have no fear of others or perhaps it's the other way round? I was willing to try and formulate a plan with Sir Godfrey upstairs, but he doesn't seem willing right now.
Anyway, let's get going."

"I can get us there in one day with one of these babies," Ez says, patting the Vistani wagon.
Everyone returns to the wagon as Ez gets in the driver seat with Flynt next to her. Rose and Thorn sit in the carriage with the rest of the group and she takes off from Argynvostholt.
It takes one day to get there. Everyone roll Perception checks.
Estelle stows her shield in the wagon before pulling herself up and turns to lend a hand to the next person who climbs into the wagon. Whoever it is, she'll cast Vigilant Blessing when their hands touch, giving them advantage on their next initiative roll.
Baudric would have climbed in last so as to get a view and have a shot with his crossbow (willing to take the hand from Estelle, but if someone else would like it, you're welcome to it).
Ez nods. "The Hall of Bones is in the Larder of Ill Omen. We can get there via a staircase on the main floor."
As you reach the courtyard, thick, cold fog swirls in this area. Sporadic flashes of lightning lance the weeping clouds overhead as thunder shakes the ground. Through the drizzle, you see torch flames fluttering on each side of the keep’s open main doors. Warm light spills out of the entrance, flooding the courtyard. High above the entrance is a round window with shards of broken glass lodged in its iron frame.
"We'll enter through a window in the chapel," Ez adds.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Bral looks around keeping an eye on anything that might be skulking around in the courtyard.

"The chapel must be used for something," Bral says in a hushed tone. "Up there through that window? Easy enough."
Bral then rushes forward towards the chapel and climbs up the side of it with ease to the broken round window. He will pause at the window looking into the chapel below.

Bral as you look into the chapel, you see the following:
Dim, colored light filters through tall, broken, and boarded-up windows of stained glass, illuminating the ancient chapel of Ravenloft. A few bats flutter about near the top of the ninety-foot-high domed ceiling. A balcony runs the length of the west wall, fifty feet above the floor. In the center of the balcony, two dark shapes are slumped in tall chairs.
Benches coated with centuries of dust lie about the floor in jumbled disarray, as well as a pristine broom. Beyond this debris, lit by a piercing shaft of light, an altar stands upon a stone platform. The sides of the altar are carved with bas-reliefs of angelic figures entwined with grape vines. The light from above falls directly on a silver statuette. A cloaked figure is draped over the altar, and a black mace lies on the floor near its feet.
