Bral nods his head, "We met a ghost down in a mansion down by Luna River. He went by the name Lazlo Ulrich. We believe he knows the location of a powerful weapon that we can use in the fight against Strahd. However, he refused to divulge this knowledge until Marina was safe. Another name that Tatyana has been known by."
Bral looks around the place.
"What makes this place so secure?"

"Vallaki is surrounded by walls and their hunters can fend off Strahd's minions," Jander explains. "Also, Strahd is like all other vampires and can't enter a place without being invited. I've also faced Strahd in combat and lived. I can hold my own against him."
Van Richten nods, pointing to Petra. "It sounds like this ghost needs to see his Marina safe. Perhaps by bringing Petra to him, he'll realize that his wife is safe. If you're concerned about Strahd, you can just bring her back here."
Petra nods. "I could use some time away from this house, even for a little bit."

"Will either of you travel with us to see the ghost?" Robin speaks up again. "I doubt we can keep her safe, even that far, if he should come after her." She shrugs. "He has already come after us once while we were visiting the ghost, I would not expect him to let us see the ghost again without doing so once again. I fear we only put her in danger if we do this..."
Bral lets out a chuckle, "Somehow, I imagine, Strahd has ays of circumventing the issue with not entering without being invited. He must at least be cunning and sly. He could possibly trick one of us into letting him in without much difficulty."

Petra turns to Jander, who nods. "I can go with you," Jander said. "I can't speak for the good doctor."
Van Richten shakes his head. "Sadly, I'm needed in Lamordia, but I do have a friend who can help. He's at the Blue Water Inn. You might have seen him. Dragonborn. Plays the horn. Has a drake next to him at all times."

Baudric listens to the discussions with a thoughtful expression for a moment, "He seemed to have been able to track us via the book, maybe if we leave the book here while we escort her? If she would be safe here, I'm sure the book would be as well. And perhaps, Jander, if you chose to stay, you, and perhaps the good doctor, could peruse the book to see if we've missed anything important while we're making that trip?"
"I am against making the trip without someone who can protect her." Robin says with an exasperated look at Baudric. "The book could be what draws him, but I am not willing to risk her life on that. If we bring her to see the ghost, then we need someone who can stand against him if he comes. We are trying for the sword after all. He may be just as likely to be drawn to us when we get that as he was when we got the book."
"Someone, to protect her from Strahd?" Bral questions Robin. "What about us? Once we have our hands on the sword we will be able to stand up against that foul lord."

Amelia, nice roll. Your eyes go back to Petra for the moment and she's wearing long sleeves, but you can see handwraps, as well as dry blood on them, like she was hitting something. You also notice a quarterstaff next to her easel.

"I think we have a long way to go before we are ready to face him ourselves, even with the sword." Robin says matter-of-factly. She shrugs. "I will stand down and go by whatever the group wishes..."
Baudric shrugs, "You're probably right, not sure we can face him yet, but maybe the sword would help us to discourage him away from us. Or at least fend him off long enough to escape while we search for the rest of the items we were sent after."
Petra smiles at Amelia. "There's a heavy bag upstairs I like to hit. I've also been had to stop a few brigands and vampire spawn. I can take care of myself in a fight. I think going with you to visit this ghost can help put his spirit at ease."

With Petra leaving him alone, Bral decides to investigate the area. He is wary of the dummies having seen and heard about the attack on the rest of the group in the toy shop. He also makes note of the religious symbols on the wall.

Bral, as you investigate you find the training dummies are just dummies, though they appear to have been rebuilt a few times. You also view the religious symbols, which many appear to be longsword on a kite shield with a sprig of belladonna. You recognize this as the symbol of Ezra, Lady of the Mists. There appears to be another symbol, one of elvish make but you don't think this is from any of the Dread Realms.

You go upstairs and you see a heavy bag hanging from the chain, as well as broken coffins and dummies. There's also religious symbols on the wall.
"You could probably get in a couple of rounds before we leave," Petra says before walking back down the stairs.
