The rest of the group cheers, except for the woman at the front who's weeping.
Father Lucien notices everyone, but he stops at Keldon. "It appears we have some new folks arriving in town. Welcome to our congregation. Would you like to introduce yourselves?"
“I’m Keldon. And if the Morning Lord is happy to fight Strahd, I’m happy to do my part.” Keldon looks around nervously at the rest of the congregation. “It’s not right that he gets to live.”
Robin stands up, tucking some strands of her red hair behind an ear as she does so. "Well, I am Robin." She says a bit shyly. "I am only barely arrive to these lands, and, well, I just want to go home..." She then retakes her seat, patting Buddy next to her.
The cleric nods at all of you before seeing Bral in the back and not saying anything. He looks to everyone and motions his hands forward. "Yes, Strahd's family once ruled this land but he's become a tyrant who's forgotten about the people."
"That man is right, it's not right that Strahd gets to live while the rest of us are his prey," says one person.
Yeah, he took my sister in the night," yells one another.
"He even took my dog," adds a third.
There's a small breakout of "It's not right he gets to live! It's not right he gets to live! It's not right he gets to live!"
Father Lucien grimaces for a moment as the crowd calms and rises from their seat. "Same time tomorrow night folks."
The only ones besides you in the church are the young man with a shovel, Father Lucien and the weeping woman. Lucien tries to console the woman and says," There, there, I'm sure your son will be okay. I'll talk with the Burgomaster tomorrow."
"It won't do any good," the woman cries. "That man is evil."
The woman sits there for a moment as Lucien approaches Keldon. "I gather you and your companions aren't from around here."

“No. We’re from far away.” Keldon says. “We are busy doing a lot of things to try to fight Strahd. It’s hard, because we can’t just go right up to him and have a fair fight, since he’s a monster and all. But my friends are good at seeing how to do this. How to make it happen. So it helps. We need your help though
Baudric steps forward slightly, "For the moment, we were just looking for a safe place to rest for the night. We were told that your church here is a haven for those in need and would be one of the safest places possible for us to rest."
"Yes, you are more than welcome to stay here," Father Lucien replies. "St. Andral's bones and the Morning Lord provide great protection, especially against Strahd's forces."
