Bral chuckled to himself, "The voice says that this is the sword of Sergei Von Zarovich, Keldon. So, Strahd isn't a sword, but it seems that spirit or soul... or whatever... of Sergei is inhibiting this sword."
He then holds the sword up in front of him.
"I think I'm going to need to take some time with this sword to really learn how this swords works."
He then swings the sword a couple of times through the air.
"Come on, let's get back to Vallaki and then I get some practice in with this sword."

I think since you've spent time holding the blade and are now swinging it, you've become attuned to it. If you haven't already done this, add Sunsword to your inventory.
You practice swinging it and the flame lights up. As you do you hear
"Interesting. You are a child of a darkness and yet you hunt the darkness. I have a good feeling about you friend."

I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Bral brings the flaming sword around in front of him, "I cannot help the circumstances of my birth. All I can do is control my actions and help others."
He then instructs the blade to disappear before he then sheathes it.
"Enough time spent dilly-dallying by the wagon. Let's return Petra to her home."

Baudric nods slowly to Keldon, "Yes, that's probably true. I guess. Anyway, are we investigating the mayor and that disappearance now or headed to the next clue?"
Jander kind of shuffles back a little bit before going into the next room.
Van Richten watches Petra take a seat near her paintings. "Interesting. You want to investigate the burgomaster about the disaperance of his critics? Next clue?"
Thorn motions to the blade. "Do you mean treasures? You've got the Sunsword. I think that's all of them. You have the tools to defeat Strahd."
At that moment, Ez walks through the door, brushing off her cuts. "Yes it does."
So what's your next move?

"I believe we should look into this mayor." Robin said with a glance to the others. "We should help out these people as much as we can as we work to get back home."
"If we want to investigate the burgomaster," Bral replies. "Why don't we simply go and speak to him? Let's start with seeing what he thinks has happened to those who speak against him.
From there we will have a better sense of who this man is, then we can determine what the next course of action will be."

Everyone makes it back to Vallaki without incident.
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Arriving back in Vallaki, Bral takes hold of the Sun Blade and begins to practice swinging it.

"Sounds good." Robin says, ready to get their charge back safely home, before the vampire lord can swoop down and give them grief.
You all take Petra back to the Coffin Maker's shop. There, Van Richten and Jander are reading books as Thorn finishes prayer.
Van Richten turns to Bral. "I take it you were successful?"

"Yes, we took Petra back to see the ghost," Bral then pulls out the Sun Blade. "Then we found this."

Keldon holds up his hands dramatically and whispers "It. Talks! And cuts, I assume."

Keldon stiffens. "It's hard for me to be around a lot of people sometimes."

Baudric glances over at Keldon, "Maybe we can split up? A few ask around town while Keldon and the others search outside the town?"
That works. Just tell me who's going where and doing what.
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Keldon breaths in relief. "I'd like that very much. What am I searching for exactly?"

"I'll help in town." Robin pipes up.
