Cloud smiles. My name's Cloud. She glances over at Yerandell as he comes over. Indeed, it is quite an interesting accent. I'm not sure I've heard one like it before.
Morganna palmed the tankard which had been nudged across the bar toward her. Doing so she turns back toward the approaching dwarf and smiles.
"Ain't never? Blimey, I didn't wager I was that far off from the coast, from the Tryquerian Sea innit"she took a deep swig of the ale. It's sweeter then she's used to, fresh and not bitter like the grog she's used to; a girl could get used to this kind of living. "I'm out this way lookin' for a treasure buried long ago in these woods eh?" she was too proud to admit, that she was hopelessly lost.
"Are you sayin' hear you ain't never heard of Morganna the Red?"
I'm not aware if there is a campaign setting I should know. :( If there is let me know and I'll edit this to the appropriate setting.
"Can't say that I have. I have heard of a witch with the name Morgana, but that was long ago, in a land that looked down on dwarfs." He smiles slyly at the small joke, "But these woods are a great place to get lost in, they connect all forests, and can be very confusing."
What's the name of the woods you were searching in? This woods, the Immergrummel woods, intersect magically with most woods all over the various worlds. This treasure sounds interesting, want to tell me about it?
There isn't really a definitive world, the idea is that these woods connect to lots of woods all over the place. That way, your character can be from wherever you want. The tavern specifically sort of draws people here who need rest or refuge.
Slightly dejected that she wasn't going to be able to tell her own story, Morganna took another swig of her ale. "Might explain how I got to wandering all over totally tossed,"she muttered before downing the rest of the ale and slamming the mug back down on the counter. "Was lookin' fer tha treasure of Capn' Hera...."Morganna caught herself mid-sentence, "Oi! I'm not telling you about me treasure, likely ter have every Tom, Dick and 'arry lookin' for it too eh?!"
Of course, understandable. Why don't you tell me about yourself then? Morganna the Red sounds like quite the fascinating name-sure to have a excellent story behind it.
If there was one thing Morgana loved more than gold and glory, it was talking about herself. However, as she peered over the edge of her tankard of ale at the young Tabaxi, it's eyes alight at the potential stories of a newcomer, she couldn't help but feel a tinge of kinship toward her. Despite not being that far off in age, Morgana saw herself in her.
"Cloud innit?" she said as she lowered the tankard, "before I tell you me story, I wanna hear more about you eh?"
Turning she slapped a hand on the back of Yerandell, "Oi you too, come on then, tell me about yerself."
Scarlet walks over to the cat and the dwarf and annonces I believe that our fort is finished! She turns to and notices Morgana and say Why hello there friend my name is Scarlet what's yours? And if you don't mind me asking what are you? I've sort of just lived in a closed community. I only really know the most common "races".

Scarlet is a red haired wood elf. She is wearing a semi-formal red dress and her green cloak with silver lining. She has a beat up old scimitar at her side. She has dark green eyes and a feather in her hair. Her skin is well tanned.
Archibald comes back down, looking droopy eyed and wearing an oversized bathrobe for clothes. His wild hair no longer looks like the frayed end of a broom, but rather a long, twisted overused wet mop, with curling waves of gray and black at the end. He looked scrawny before, but now he just looks feeble. His skin looks thin and leathery like dried parchment, and his long nails, now clean, make his hands seem like bony claws. The last quarter of his gangly legs poke out the end of his robes like two gnarled twigs stripped of their bark. And his feet flap wetly on the floor with each step. He has the rope of his robe cinched tightly for modesty, which blouses the top making it look like a popped balloon. His waist seems impossibly narrow by contrast.
He twitches involuntarily, taking in the scene. The new arrivals interest him, but the most important thing to him is that the shelter they've made is sturdy enough for the coming threat. So, his surprise is complete when he discovers their fort is made of blankets. He raises an eyebrow unnaturally high and his head wobbles in confusion at the sight.
Me? Well, I came from a little island pretty far away from...anywhere. My people, the tabaxi, like to keep somewhat isolated from other cultures. But a friend of mine and I decided to go explore, and through a series of, ah, misadventures, we wound up with a few other adventurers. Our group had quite the adventuring career. Started as just going after some goblins nearby, and turned into a whirlwind few years. Spent a year in a dream plane that didn't actually occur, tracked a trio of assassins, dealt with a yuan-ti cult, ran into a creature that was the embodiment of annihilation...that part wasn't so fun. Her smile becomes tinged with sadness. Our last adventure didn't go so well, and we lost friends. After that, we decided to retire, at least temporarily. I was sort of wandering through some woods a few months later, and I wound up here. Seemed like a great place to relax for a little, so I decided to stay. It's been about three years now.
This is actually a retired PC that I now use as an NPC in one of the game I DM. Really enjoying the roleplay opportunity-she's long-term, and I've been having a little trouble with explaining her motivations in the game.
"I, uh, have nothing as amazing as that background, I am just a miners brat. Not much to my story. My brothers and I had a construction site, built pretty good walls, houses, almost anything you need. My family always told me that I a decent enough to be a bard, so I took it on their word and the next troupe that came through our little parcel left with me on the bandwagon. I didn't go back till I had made it as a bard, but by that time, there had been war, famine, and plague, and sadly, my family was not too lucky. When I returned home, that little slice of Heaven had become a scene outta Hell." As he says this, a tear comes to his eye and he begins to choke back tears. John walks up to him and puts an arm around his shoulders, "I found him there weak from grief and fatigue, as well as hunger. So After he was nursed back to health, we set off on the road to try to forget the past. We had an argument a while back and I have been searching for him ever since to ask for forgiveness."
"Cor Blimey! I knew it~!" Morganna shouted throwing an arm around the Tabaxi, "an adventurer like me, I bloody knew it! Cut from the same cloth we two eh?!" She released her and smiled widely at her.
It was at this point she turned toward Scarlet, "Didn't think I forgot about you did ya Red?" shoving a hand toward her Morganna's signature sly smile plastered her face again, "names Morganna, blimey, you forest folk are right wonky aren't you?" she chuckled to herself, "I'm not rightfully sure where I came from, but I got me name from the red tide what I washed up on. Plucked me from the sea they did, not much older than 6 years old, the Cap'n says I was a water spirit, like a walkin' fish eh?" she smiled warmly, "Cap'n called me Morganna after 'is long lost love, folk ashore says I'm a Genasi, whatever that might be, but they say my home is a place where the ocean never ends, where you can sail for the rest of your life and never see land again, sounds lovely innit?" She downed the second tankard and tossed the appropriate coin down.
"But enough about meself, what kind of tosh is that!" Morganna called pointing at the blanket fort.
Well... you see it's a fort of sorts. Not for siege or such it's more for uhh comfort. She says. Also we aren't that weird! We just see things in a different way. Plus if anything we may just be superior to other people of the arcane. Scarlet crosses her arms and looks away as if she took offence to the comment.

I tried to imbue the inside with a bit o' magic too, hopefully, it worked. It should be as grand as a great hall in there"
Actually it's not exactly for the "wee ones". It's sort of for us... Don't judge me !

Archibald approaches the group slowly and points at Morganna. "Water." He snickers a bit, then points to himself. "Fire."
"Water is better than fire. Water comes from the eyes and the mouth. Water can heal. Water flows when it is needed. Fire comes from the body. The fire burns... forever. Fire brings light. Fire can hurt."
He closes his eyes tightly and shakes his head vigorously. Then flinches when Scarlet walks away from the group.
