A tavern door swung open and a tall, bronzed skin woman stepped through the archway. She was covered with leathers and what wasn't, scars from various battles won and lost. She surveyed the room for but a moment before politely wiping her feet and closing the door behind her. She leaned her large greataxe on the wall and placed her pack on the ground underneath, not expecting she'll need it much here in this tavern.
Sura was an imposing figure, built with lean muscle and long unkempt hair hastily pulled back. She easily stood a head taller than an average human, a trait of her people. Her face was stern, but not altogether unfriendly as she took her place at a table. Just as she was about to place some coin on the table to order food and drink, her stomach decided to betray her intentions, growling with the best of them. She placed her hand over it, as if to silence it, almost annoyed that she was betrayed by her own stomach. "A mug of ale and some hot food. Please." She muttered to a passing wait staff.

Inez grins and sits down, and thanks Scarlet for the coins and pockets them. She picks apart the roll and begins to eat. It was really good, and almost...sweet? Whatever it was, she began to eat it very quickly.
Scarlet being curious by the new comers she walks over to try and introduce herself to them. Hello my name is Scarlet i'm a druid and somewhat of a bard in training. What's your name?
"I want to pull out it's tongue so Timbity can use it as a whip."- W
Scarlet is a red haired wood elf. She is wearing a semi-formal red dress and her green cloak with silver lining. She has a beat up old scimitar at her side. She has dark green eyes and a feather in her hair. Her skin is well tanned.
the goliath walks over to the women that just walked in and says "Nice scars I have a few to. The names Maxiums but you can call me Max, What is your name freiend?"
What brings you her Max? I'm just wondering because it seems like a good amount of us have made it her by accident. Like for example I was annoyed by my adventuring group. Don't even get me started on them. But anyways I went to go chill in the forest. I sort of just stumbled upon this tavern. She says. Also just out of curiosity what is your profession if you don't mind me asking?

Sura hadn't expected to be approached so quickly, by two people no less. An elf, Scarlet and a goliath, Maxiums or just Max, apparently. "I am Sura." she said, addressing both at once.

Well nice to meet you Sura. I'm assuming that you are some sort of warrior judging by your battle scars. Thats pretty neat. I'm not as strong as you. I'm fairly weak to be honest. She says trying to have a smile. In reality she is actually quite intimidated by these two.

The food and drink ordered arrived, mercifully. Sura pulled the two towards her as they were set on the table. Ale, as ordered, and some sort of stew which was perfectly acceptable. "Some sort of warrior is a way to put it, I suppose." Sura answered before taking a bite of her stew. Robust flavor, perfect. "In reality, I'm just a traveler who has dealt with some... tough situations."

Sura shrugged at the question the dwarf Yerandell asked of her and Max. Truthfully, she didn't know. "Simply that I was traveling to Waterdeep and passed by here. A tavern is a welcome respite to camping under the stars every night. They loose their luster after a time."

Cloud briefly leans over to talk to the trio. That's the nature of these woods. They draw in travelers in need of rest. Don't worry though, you can get back to your world by retracing your steps. Until then, welcome to the Immergrummel woods. I'm Cloud. I believe I heard you say your names were Sura and Max?
"Yes, that is what I said." Sura acknowledged the newcomer to the quickly growing conversation. It certainly was a varied bunch, she'll give them that. And a tavern or maybe even the whole woods was mystical? Sura couldn't recall tales of such a place, it seemed almost too fanciful for her tastes. Still, best not look a gift horse in the mouth. There was food and all after all. She took advantage of the brief lull in conversation to take a swig from her mug.

Xazabrax walks over behind the two taller patrons, places a chair on the ground, and stands atop the chair. Once he’s their height he casts minor illusion over himself and the chair to make it look like he was just as tall.
”Welcome to... this tavern? I guess that’s accurate, but I don’t remember reading the name on my way in. Oh but my name is Xazabrax, the Goliath may call me Jonesy as well. Either way, welcome.”
He inspects the Goliath once more before stepping back from his not-so-secret illusion and walks over to the nearest empty table. He pulls a black flute from his pouch and begins to play a slightly off-tune but eerie melody with a distant but peaceful expression.
Nine-While-Nine observes the newcomers with mild interest. He is only mildly paying attention to his companions at the table, making sure that the fox kit stays asleep in Morgan’s lap and keeping a wary eye on Sigmund as he reads his spell book. The Kenku superficially keeps his attention on his hands, carefully carving a few wooden dowels into fanciful beasts. There is no artistry to his carving, but consummate skill, each animal being rendered as realistic as possible, as if from memory of actual creatures.
Okay, Sura would have to admit that the man using magic to appear taller on a chair was wholly amusing. Especially since with the added height of the chair he was much taller than herself, instead rivaling Max in height. Also because Sura herself was sitting down. What a collection of characters this tavern brings together. She took a moment to really take in her surroundings outside of her, really more like their at this point, table. There was another group, one of which was a interesting, smaller... thing. Sura had no idea. Perhaps this place was as magically inclined as Cloud had said. "I suppose it would be rude to not turn the question back of 'what brings you here'?" Sura asked to no one person in particular.

Cloud laughs softly. I've been living here in this village for a few years. I decided I needed a break from adventuring, and I was traveling through some woods when I wound up here. I realized it was a perfect place to take some time off, so I decided to stay. I still stay in touch with my party through sendings-what's left of them, anyway.
"I suppose I could understand wanting to take a break. Don't think that'll ever happen for me, though. I prefer to remain on my feet." Its been a long time since Sura had settled down in one place for any significant length of time. She didn't really remember what it felt like to do that. Sura went for another bite of her stew when the spoon made a clink on the bowl. Empty. Ah, well that was a shame. She pushed the bowl to the side to be collected as she leaned forward to ask Cloud "What is left of them? I take it adventurering was harsh on them."
