Daveth will rush into the room right behind Ariana and give an anguished shout as he sees Ruby lying on the ground with the dagger in her back. He'll raise his longsword, charge forth with an inarticulate cry of rage, and attempt to strike down the Bandit standing next to Ruby and Wake. Daveth's first attack overwhelms the Bandit's weak parry and cuts him down.

Seeing the battle moving away Elwyn rushes out into the next room. Spotting Ned again he blasts him with a beam of blue eldritch force. "Where do you think you're going Ned, I'm going to get my cloak back."
Elwyn - The eldritch blast hits Ned fully in the face and he shrieks in pain as his head rebounds off the wall in front of him. His veins then run black as necrotic energy courses through his body. He writhes on the ground gasping and wheezing for a bit, then stops.

Ruby just sits up, still feeling some pain in her back. "I am sorry, that was really reckless. Thank you for saving me Wake."She says and then turns around, picking up the dagger that was thrown at her. She will move to get a better view of the last bandit and throw the dagger she just picked up.
Ruby - The dagger strikes the man in his chest and he cries out in pain, falling back against the wall as he grips the dagger. He rips it free with a grunt and drops it to the floor. He is shaky on his feet, but he still stands.
Wake - The Bandit will attempt a half-hearted slash in your direction as you head over to the door. Unsurprisingly, it misses by quite a bit.

You barrel through the door and find the room beyond seemingly empty of threats. You can see that the shelf in front of the hidden passage to the sea cave has been hacked to pieces and the heavy tables have also been shoved out of the way.

Kulogall considers burning up the remaining bandit, but figures that he might be questioned, it might be worthwhile to keep him alive. He moves to C19 and whacks him over the head with his staff with two hands, nonlethal damage.

Elwyn moves over to the reamains of Ned the traitor and takes his cloak back. "I don't think you need this any more old man." He says grimly before donning it. "Are you okay there Ruby, can you go on?" He then says to his halfling friend, moving over to her, laying a comforting hand on her shoulder.
Kulogall says "I wanted to question one of these guys about what is happening here. Ariana, where did you put that bullseye lantern? I heard you mention something to Daveth about a code? Is that light there for signaling ships at sea? There is more here than meets the eye and I wanted to have a conversation (when he says this word he pounds his fist into his hand) with one of these men about this code and what is happening here." He steps to the door and looks through into the other room, making sure there is no movement or anyone else nearby.

Ariana pulls out the parchment with the code and shows it to Kulogall. "It seems the lantern is used with this. Did we leave the lantern in the other room? Perhaps there are more clues in the attic."

Wake - The dagger slides out and clatters to the ground as your healing magic closes the wounds. Ruby's eyes flutter and she opens them with a gasp.
Kulogall is up!
Kulogall targets bandit 1 with a bolt of fire from his arm, seeing a clear path to him.

Kulogall - The firebolt hits the edge of the wall, expending most of its destructive force before splashing sparks over the Bandit.

Ariana runs past the first bandit and towards Ned, the scoundrel. She leaps and kicks him in his back, then brings her quarterstaff down on his skull.
