Seeing the last of the Gnolls in the river flee out of sight Elwyn rushes and tries to get back to help his friends on the other side of the river, possibly catcthing sight of the last Gnoll in time to blast it with blue eldritch crackling force from his tentacle-shaped wand.
Movement: South over the bridge as far as he gets. Action: If possible Attack Pack Lord with Eldritch blast: 18 Force: 6
"Oh no, Ariana." He says as he sees the fallen form of the half-elf.
(I guess Elwyn's hex is stuck on the Gnoll who got away. Last action he moved up on the far side of the bridge though but I'm not sure if his move can take him in sight of the Pack Lord.)
Wake will step forward and stabilize Ariana with a use of his Healer’s Kit and then step back to give Kulogall an unobstructed shot at Gnoll Pack Lord 2, should Elwyn/Ruby/Taggert not drop it first.
"Ariana, is she alive?" Elwyn asks Wake with desperation in his voice, kneeling beside the half-elf. "I should have been here for her." He says, tears welling in his eyes.
Wake slumps in exhaustion next to the unconscious but stable bodies of Kowalski and Ariana.
”They both live, but I have nothing left to aid them. Without other magical assistance, only time will bring them around.”
Wake shakily inhales deeply and exhales with a sigh that shakes even more violently as the adrenaline subsides in his system. He analyzes the injuries and attempts to ascertain how long it will take before both Kowalski and Ariana could reasonably be expected to regain consciousness.
Kulogall comes running down, sees Ariana on the ground and bends down, sitting by her side. “Is she?” He feels helpless, knowing nothing of healing magic. The entity that gifted him with magic of the storm, of power and destruction gave him no help to heal those that he cared about. He is distraught and keeps saying “Wake up, wake up, wake up.” He looks over to Kowalski and moves his leg, trying to arouse him as well.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
“We need to get these two to safety. It will probably be a couple of hours before either will wake.” Wake says as tears well up in his eyes, mostly in frustration that he is inadequate to help further.
”Should we split up? Some carrying the wounded to the ‘Goat’ or jail and the others return to help put out fires?”
"The Wicker Goat is right across the street from the jail, but neither is far." Elwyn says and grabs Ariana under her arms. "Take her legs Wake. Kulogall, help Taggert to carry Kowalski, Ruby, take point and look out for more raiders, now move, we must hurry. The enemy is likely still approaching from the east." He adds in a desperate tone, readying himself for carrying Ariana to the Town jail or the Wicker Goat.
Meanwhile Azure returns to give him some sort of report on enemy movements.
Elwyn watches in horror the burned out husk of blackened timbers that once was the Wicker Goat, fearing that people were still in the building when it burned. "Azure reports that the Gnolls are retreating."He says and heaves a sigh of relief looking around for any other suitable building to bring Ariana and Kowalski.
Kulogall helps to carry Kowalski, gets him to a place of safety where he could recover. He walks inside the jail, sends a message to Xolo, “Are you safe brother?” then walks down the halls until he finds his cell to check on him. “Gnolls. Burned the whole village down. Do you know anything about any bands of gnolls brother? We are trying to help these people, protect the town and stop the fires. Do you know anything that could help us, or tell us where this threat came from?”

Ruby helps her friends get Ariana to safety. She is quiet most of the way there, looking out for more gnolls and dangers. She can´t help but worry about Ariana and Kowalski, thinking about what she could have done differently to help her friends.
Once they arrive at the jail, she just sits down next to Arina. She rests for a bit, listening to the conversations of the people around her. Perception: 11
All - The ragtag group of defenders part to let you into the jail. You can see that more than a few of them appear to be townsfolk that either took up arms or were pressed into service. You find the inside of the jail to resemble any camp on the edge of a battlefield; people rushing about, people standing and sitting about, either trying to stay out of the way or simply unsure what to do. Captain Eliander Fireborn sees you all and says, "Chauntea provides!" He turns to a tired-looking Cleric and says, "Nessim, the cavalry have arrived. See to their wounded." Nessim looks to you all and nods, giving a weary smile as he leads you to an area that has been converted into a field hospital. Once your wounds are tended to, Eliander pulls you all into an office and stomps over to a cabinet in the room. He takes out a bottle of rum and uncorks it, spitting the cork across the room before taking a draw from the bottle. He sets it on the desk and motions to it as he takes a seat, "What in the nine hells, eh?" He wipes his face with a meaty hand, "I'm glad to see all of ye. With the bulk of our forces out looking for that lost patrol we can use every fighting man and woman we can get. I re-called the patrol, but it'll be a while yet before they get back here. How are ye? Rough night?"
Kulogall -
Xolo responds, That would explain the excitement here at the jail. I'm sorry brother, but what little I know of this area is less than any local could tell you I'm sure. I didn't have time to do my usual research before fleeing here from Xanathar.
