Ruby walks up to Elwyn, seeing Ariana trying to comfort him. She´s not used to seeing this usualy cheerful half-elf in such a state. Having no idea what to say, she decides to hug him if he lets her. She pulls back once she thinks he calmed down a bit. "Feeling better?"She asks, now sitting down beside him."We should all rest a bit, we can figure out what to do next later." She says and gets up, wandering around a bit and helping out the people there in any way she can.
After hearing this from the Captain, Kulogall leaves the jail and starts to go through the village, from building to building, to make sure that the fires are all out and to appraise the damage. He uses his sorcerous powers with wind and water to extinguish the last of any flames if needed. He looks at each building and notes what is destroyed, what will need rebuilding, and what was only mildly injured. He looks for a place (other than the jail) that all could rest and recover, then he heads back to the jail to report.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
When Ruby mentions getting rest, Ariana looks around at the many people resting and needing help while others are working hard to help others. Pain from her own injuries washes over her. As she's trying to help, she feels a bit in the way, as she can't do much to help the injured and isn't prepared for potential battle outside the jail. She finds a quiet corner somewhere and kneels. She begins meditating. If any of her friends request her help, she'll immediately help. Otherwise, she tries to rest.
Elwyn smiles gratefully at Ariana and Ruby, hugging Ruby back and wiping his tears. "Better now." He says and gets to his feet again. "A rest sounds like a good idea."He says and looks around for a place for that.

Kulogall - The night is long and the work hard, but by the time the sun begins to rise above the distant horizon you have doused every flame in Saltmarsh and rescued 20 townsfolk who were trapped or otherwise too injured to move on their own. You note that several warehouses near the docks appear to have been spared any serious damage and believe one could possibly be converted to a temporary shelter.
All - Any who would assist Kulogall will learn the same as he. Those looking to rest can find the barest of accommodations in one of the empty cell blocks. There are already a number of guards and town militia resting there before their next shift, but there are enough cells remaining for the rest of you to each claim one.
When Ariana awakes, she feels surprisingly good. She checks her wounds and they have all closed nicely and seem to be healing well.
She first checks on Elwyn to see if he's feeling better after a rest and time to mourn and plan for Azure's return.
She then checks on Kulogall, but finds him still sleeping.
Finally, she approaches Wake and thanks him for the moral (and medicinal!) support the previous evening. She hangs close to him as their plans for the coming day unfold before her.
All (excluding Kulogall) - Morning comes and you find each other in the lobby of the jail. The immediate needs of the town have been met and the bulk of the search party are set to return around mid-day. What would you like to do?
Elwyn wakes up and is grateful for Ariana's concern, explaining he has plans to summon Azure back from the deep ocean, he will only need some magical ingredients to perform the necessary ritual. After a simple ration breakfast he would take a walk with a heavy heart through the remnants of Saltmarsh accompanied by those who would care to join him. He notices the Faithful Quartermasters of Iuz and decides to buy incense and herbs there even though he is a bit suspicious over the building being undamaged. He then goes down by the sea and performs the 1 hour ritual to summon Azure back to him.

Ariana is following Wake and Elwyn. She says, "I heard a guard say the mighty triton was helping them clean up the city all night. He's probably exhausted and still sleeping."
When Elwyn enter the shop for spell components, Ariana peruses the shelves for any little trinkets worth less than 5 silver. If she finds 5-6 of them she fancies, she buys them and stows them in her pack. She tries to do so surreptitiously so Elwyn and others don't notice.
Ariana - Inside the Faithful Quartermasters of Iuz, you find a Teifling named Captain Xendros. Her shop is full of exotic oddities, large and mall. While Elwyn haggles and Wake takes notes, you manage to find the following if you want them:
A purple worm toy - 1sp
A chess piece shaped like a dancing satyr wearing a bishop’s hat and clutching a gnarled staff - 5cp
Kulogall is sleeping in, also preparing for a long night ahead. Mid morning he will stir and head to the jail, also follow along to any shops that are still standing and meet back up with the group. "I did the best I could. I managed to get 8 of the townspeople to safety, we've got the fires out now. Where next? Tonight we are hunting slavers. I wonder if there is any way to track where those gnolls came from..."

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
"Has anyone seen Daveth? I am a little worried."Ruby says looking around as she meets up with the rest of the group. "I was thinking about the gnolls two. There is something weird about this "random" attack."
Not aware of any eviltry connected to the name of Iuz and far too focused on summoning Azure back, Elwyn will simply buy the incense and herbs necessary and try to perform the ritual by the sea as earlier described.
“I guess we have some options on how to proceed.” States Wake to the group.
”Remain in town, using our talents and gifts to help the townsfolk rebuild or lay low and save ourselves to return to the mansion and cave to lure the smugglers into a trap tonight”Wake says as he’s thinking.
“If I remember correctly, if the smugglers do not make contact with the shore, they bugger off and return the next night. But of course, their suspicions would be heightened with each passing day …” Wake trails off as he ponders.
Elwyn returns to the others, now accompanied by Azure again, sitting perched on his shoulder, looking a little shy after last nights incident. "I want to find Daveth, I want to go after those Gnolls and rescue him. I owe him that, we all do I think." Elwyn says rashly, clearly eager to get going. "Anyway, the Gnolls are likely a much bigger threat to Saltmarsh than those slavers are right now."
Wake - As you make your rounds before you head out you pass Mia lying in her cot, staring at the ceiling. She sits up when you come by and asks after her family. Mia wants very much to join you, but the Cleric who has relieved Nessim is a dour Dwarven woman who refuses to allow Mia anything but bed rest. Mia glances over at the Dwarf and says to you, "She could teach stones and give lessons to mules, that one." With a sigh she lies back down, "I guess I'll rest. There's a hidden door in the cellar of the Inn. It's in the north wall behind a pair of barrels. The barrels are attached to the door so it's harder to spot when closed. If Lankus and Lara are anywhere, that's where they'll be. Daveth too." Mia reaches up to a symbol of Chauntea on a chain around her neck and says, "Chauntea provides. Please find my family Wake."

(Let me know if/when Ariana gets a short rest.)

Wake awakes freshened and restored. He makes one more pass through the wounded, offering encouragement and his best bedside manner.
”Where’s Kulogall? Did he not return? Elwyn, hold up. I will go with you to survey the town. Perhaps we can locate Kulogall and Daveth.”
Wake will approach Mia, “How are we feeling today? Are you up for walking through town this morning? You could help us look for Lara and Lankus.”

Elwyn would wait for Wake, and anyone else who would come.
