Talon looks at the two corpses. 

“This is unnatural behavior.”

OOC: Do they have anything in their pockets like a map or an unusual items? Or just anything in general to loot if nothing else?

Krunchy, will examine their corpses for anything of note or value. "No use letting anything on them go to waste, let's see if they have anything. Wonder if they have any spoons."

 "Hmm, why would a goblin and kobold be together? They usually hate eating together from what I understand."

OOC 2: Can Krunchy roll insight to see if he might know why they would be together and not dead from hostility? Insight: 7, man my rolls have been garbage. 

Xander seeing that both bodies have been placed in a shallow grave would like to think of any religious rituals that might involve willing sacrifices placed in graves.

Rey probably reaches the base of the tree at this stage and relays previous information to group.

A Kobold and a Goblin? Hmmm. You guys find anything out about their deaths?

After going over the bodies, you don’t find anything of any use, as best as you can tell, these creatures just laid down until they died.

“I, ugh...” Talon said hesitantly, “ I don’t want to be insensitive, but there’s not much we can to for these things except to keep more from being killed. I think we were heading in the right direction. I recommend we continue on to the cave.”

“Yeah, I think you’re right, Talon. The hills to the north seem to be our destination. It’s getting late, we should move on.”

Thumbing over her shoulder, "Agreed. I'd rather not end up like these two stiffs." 

Xander shrugs his shoulders "Goblins, Kobolds, I could care less really. Something is brewing I can feel it. Let's continue on before the fellow we are looking for ends up like these guys."

Morgram agrees with the others,"Yeah, we should keep going."

"Hmm nothing of use on them, oh well. Such a strange sight—a dead kobold and goblin with a singing, dancing crazed goblin nearby. This place is weird! We should go." Krunchy says to everyone and then follows with the rest of the group.

The party continues up the winding path towards the cave entrance. The paths leads to timber line. You stop just short of exiting the forest. Mountain looms directly ahead disappearing into the thick fog. The tree line extends you your right and left. Between you and the cave entrance is about 500 feet of dirt and gravel. Scattered boulders of various sizes litter the clearing between the forest and the cave entrance.  The wind blows hard and cold through the clearing, you can hear the winds rushing through the treetops, sounding like waves on the beach.

In the cave entrance, you can see a campfire is burning, and see the occasional shadow pass across the rock face, but you can make out any figures or sounds. You do notice that the shadows appear to be of different sizes.

"We should tread carefully, so what's the plan guys? Do we rush them or slowly make our way up there."

Stealth 22 

"Let's see what we can hear." Rey whispers. He looks at Krunchy. "If we keep one alive, you can cook for them, Krunchy!"

As we approach, she'll be keeping an eye out for security measures as well. Will roll if able. Meanwhile, motioning with her hands in a move forward motion and a silence hand gesture. Before we get too close, she'll retrieve a small fabric pouch from a backside pocket. 

Talon whispers “Maybe instead of all of us going, maybe send the stealthiest as a scout?”

Stealth: 10

Stopping and crouching low, "Safety in numbers, but a group is definitely easier to spot. I'm confident in my abilities to remain out of sight, unless anyone else would want to volunteer. If I do go, I'll need to know more about the person we're looking for. Won't do us much good, otherwise." 

“I can back you up, Bam. I may be big but I’m light on my feet. I’ll wait about 30’ behind in case you run into any trouble. I can signal to the others that way as well. Whadd’ya think, gang?”

"That sounds like a good plan." Replied Talon.

"Ban, the man is a farmer. His name is Firth. I suspect he'll be easy to spot, but just in case, he's about this tall (Talon gestures to about 6 feet), thin - say around 180 pounds or so. Blonde hair."

"That's fine with me I can stay back. Maybe you should hang back to Krunchy. You're not really stealthy with all your utensils."
