Not satisfied that the creature is no longer a threat, Og takes his greatsword and impales it then twists the blade before withdrawing it. "Silas, are you alright? You did not run. Good." he says with approval.
Og takes out his Gem of Brightness, utters 1 command word to illuminate the area, and looks around.

Silas is now healed and you guys can post at will.
Og you see first a pile of ash and within the pile of ash there are three objects. Next you look at the statue and you notice that there is an outline for a door there. It looks like it was meant for the door to be hidden within the work of the statue but you can see it clear as day but no visible handle.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Celus walks over to the beholder and squats down beside it, taking a closer look. "Fascinating.." He takes a few notes in his book and looks up to the statue above him. "Anyone have any idea what this statue means? Is it an unusually large tombstone or a grave of its own? At least we can conclude it sticks out like a sore thumb compared to the mossy, crumbled tombstones we have seen earlier."

Silas feels the cold leaving his body as Celus begins to heal him. Dark, blurry vision is replaced with light blurry vision. As his vision begins to clear, he's racked with pain as the necrotic effects leave his muscles and they regain circulation.
"AAAArrrgghh!" He says as he sees Celus clearly. "Wow... that... really sucked. Thank you, Celus, I'm in your debt."
A sudden look of panic flashes across his face. "Was anyone injured?" Silas says as he feebly makes his way to his knees.
OOC: With the nat20 perception would Og actually see what the 3 objects are? I'm assuming the ash pile is Teagan.
Og says, "Look thereβat the statue. There is an outline for a secret door, but no handle. This creature was clearly meant to be a sentry of sorts, given its strength. We're definitely on the right track. We should figure out how to open it."
Og would also like to retrieve the 3 objects, if he can see that they aren't anything threatening.
OOC 2: We should also definitely take a short rest before proceeding.

"Aha! Now that was a fight!" Griff cleans and sheathes his halberd, then goes to collect his arrow and rope (if possible) "Two for me in that one, plus I ripped the big one right outta the air there." He looks around at the rest of the group, "Everyone alright?"
Og you pick up two glass vials holding what you know to be Potions of Healing. The other is some sort of mysterious bag. Your not quite sure what is it or why it isnβt ash but when you look inside it you see a bunch of furry little balls.
Celus: the undead beholder looks like an undead beholder but you can definitely tell that from the statue there was some necrotic energy coming from it that was improwering the beholder.
Yes you can recover your arrow and rope. (At the end of each combat Iβll allow you to recover a number of arrows/bolts equal to 1/2 (minimum of if you only spent 1) of what you spent in the battle.)

Og takes the two healing potions from the ashes and the two extra that he found earlier out of his pack. He then gives everyone 1 healing potion to each party member. "No sense in one person carrying all of these. Use them well." (Everyone gains 1 healing potion)
He will also kneel in front of the ash pile, taking a little bit of Teagan's ashes and puts them in a small, separate pouch. He says under his breath, "Though you ran off in fear, no one should have their final resting place be in this place. I almost joined you. Whenever we find a forest again, I will see you find a peaceful place to rest." He then stands up and goes back to the statue where everyone else is gathered.
As he stands with the group, he looks at the bag of furry balls and thinks what they would be used for.
Celus strokes his beard back into shape after the combat. "I am fine, not even a scratch. There is something off about that statue however, the big one was stronger than i imagined he would be. The statue emanates some kind of magic, it must have empowered the thing." He walks towards the statue but stops for a second. "Honor? You wouldnΒ΄t mind checking this for any kind of traps before i examine it closer? I donΒ΄t want to trigger anything more after earlier." He casts Prestidigitation and creates a small comb to further groom his beard.

Honor you know that the statue is of a drow but not one that youβve ever heard of.
Og, looking at the bag youβd guess it would have to be semi-powerful to not be disintegrated into ash. In fact, when you almost got disentegrated you realized something. It didnβt do anything to your Gem of Brightness.

He then says to Celus, "Do you think the magical properties of the statue could be sealing the door?"
