Okay, my next post (probably) will be the introduction to the campaign. I'll be checking every few minutes if someone responds so I can see when something happens. It will probably be in a few minutes that I post it.
In the city of Neverwinter, a dwarf named Gundren Rockseer asked you to bring a wagonload of provisions to the rough-and-tumble settlement of Phandalin, a couple days' travel southeast of the city. Gundren was clearly excited and more than a little secretive about his reasons for the trip, only saying that he and his brothers had found "something big," and that he'd pay you ten gold piece each for escorting his supplies hafely to Barthen's Provisions, a trading post in Phandalin. He then set out ahead of you on horse, along with a warrior escort named Sildar Hallwinter, claiming he needed to arrive early to "take care of business."
You've spent the last few days following the High Road south from Neverwinter, and you've recently veered east along the Triboar Trail. You've encountered no trouble so far, but this territory can be dangerous. Bandits and outlaws have been known to lurk along the trail.
Everyone, please introduce your characters. I also ask that you make a marching order to follow, so that you are able to fend for yourself. Two of you need to be driving the wagon, the other, you can be riding in the wagon, walking alongside, or scouting ahead, or any other idea that your character can do.
I will be on until 10:00 PM EST, and can answer anything from now till then.
Grishnak is stood in the back of the cart, practicing being sneaky by jumping up and down... quietly. Except he isn't very good at it.
He is a burly Half-Orc who dresses like he's in a pulp fiction spy novel. Over the top tench coat and dark glasses. Under this he has a sword strapped to his side and is wearing leather armour.
...Aeberos(name) walks along with the cart attending not to interfere with the speed. Wearing green and brown leather armor, a backpack that is full of belongings. In his left hand, there is a shield and the right is scimitar . Seeking knowledge of the universe to bring back to his fellow companions. Weighing around 240 pounds and behind 8 feet tall. Occasionally attempting to pull the cart to give the animals a rest.
About 2 days pass, you've been on the Triboar Trail for about a half day. As you come around a bend, you spot two dead horses sprawled about fifty feet ahead of you, blocking the path. Each has several black feathered arrows sticking out of it. The woods press close to the trail here, with a steep embankment and dense thickets on either side. You do not recognize the horses from afar.
Grishnak can see some goblins attempting to hide in the wilderness, 2 of them armed with shortbows, 2 with scimitars. They seem to be watching you.
Cwilli221's Character does not detect that there is any magical presence nearby. Your character is not aware of anyone nearby unless Grishnak says something.
The goblins stay still, and begin to draw their attention to the wagon.
I'll call your (Cwilli221's) character Cwilli, if that's okay say nothing, if not say mention it but for now.
Grishnak warns everyone that there are goblins in the forests, 2 with shortbows, 2 with scimitars.
Cwilli, you say something in Goblin, from the distance you hear leaves crinkling in the forest (Grishnak knows that these are the goblins she saw), you guess that from Grishnak's warning, these are the same goblins she is mentioning. After a moment, in Goblin, one responds "Tell us what you have in the wagon, and no one gets hurt.", but they seem to sound awfully patient for demanding information.
Khessa, the tall woman in chainmail who seems to have a taste for big weapons (a greatsword adn a maul rests on her back), has been driving the wagon all the time. During the last days she tried to speak a little with both Grishnak and Cwilli, genuinely curious about them: she had never met an Half-orc (much less a Firbolg) before.
Now, as she spots the two horses killed by the black feathered arrows, she fears for the fate of Gundren and Sildar and thinks that the goblins must have attacked them and taken them prisoners. She turns nonchalantly her head to Cwilli, her long wavy blond hairs not fully hidden by the helm of the chainmail, and whispers: "Trading? Those must have attacked Gundren and Sildar... and I think we will be next! Better be ready to defend ourselves..." Her deep blue eyes shine in anger. Remembering of her family still captive in drow hands, she does not like the thought of somebody taking others as prisoners... She tries to hide her emotions, she slowly dismounts from the wagon and walks to put herself between the goblins and her two traveling companions. She knows she has better armor, so she wants to be the first in the path of the goblins, should the encounter end in violence.
... cwilli tries to persuade the goblins he still wants to trade moving within striking distance. Charmisma (2) ( I think I rolled correctly. I used the roll 20 app)
Khessa readies herself for the worst, stays near Cwilli while he moves and she also tries to keep an eye on Grishnak, in case the goblins choose to attack
The goblins do not doubt you want to trade as far as you know, another yells "How bout' this? You give us half of what's in the wagon, we give you 20 Silver Pieces, if not, we kill you!"
The other 3 goblins begin leave their attention on you as if you were hidden, and they all look at Khessa. They speak in Goblin.
Cwilli recognizes that they are having a conversation that goes quickly, but like this:
"Why don't we kill em' and take their loot?" One goblin says, "You might wanna shut up, you don't think (Cwill's version of He or She, no gender listed) can understand us?" Said another, and a last goblin says "You sure they want to trade? They seem ready to kill." The others remain silent and stare at Khessa.
Khessa does not understand goblin language. If the goblin's trade offer has been made in that language, she simply awaits for Cwilli to go on with whatever he has in mind. Il Khessa can undestand, she replies in common: "Why somebody, we or you, has to risk to die? Do you think you can take out us without any losses? We could give you a better reward, and without risk, if you can help us with the damned dwarf we are looking for. Did you see a dwarf with a bodyguard ride through this road? We are HUNTING him and we are ready to trade to get our hands on him. Can you help us with this? You know where he went?

I figured I'd just say that so as you know.
The amount of combat involved will be fine, but RPing our way around it may be faster.
Chilling kinda vibe.

I tell them to calm down and offer to trade.
A goblin responds "What did you have in mind?" curiously.
