Ferg steps into the fray, just in front of Arc, and sends a thunderous gust of arcane energy at the mound, hoping to catch all four (known) goblins in its wake. The first goblin with the singed hands miscalculates when to peek out above the mound and takes the spell's full power right in the face. His lifeless body is blown 10 feet backwards and his companions laugh at him no more.
It doesn't take much for the second goblin, the one who took acid damage earlier, to succumb to the spell's energy--he perishes mid flight, his last breaths full of dirt and rocks and arcane dust.
The third goblin manages to roll out of the way, missing most of the spell's wake by mere seconds. She does take 4 points of bludgeoning damage as the second goblin's shortbow gets caught in the gust of energy and lands on her head.
The fourth goblin is just as lucky. On his way out of the tunnel he realized he'd left his weapon sitting on the ground and bent to pick it up. In doing so, the frayed wood of the door that splintered into an even more murderous spike missed his eye by inches, landing instead just across his scalp, sticking there in a large splinter sort of like one would wear a feather in a cap.

Finmoves quietly 10 feet in a somewhat diagonal direction, hoping to catch a glimpse of any part of the belly-down goblin's form. She is partially obscured by the mound itself, but also by her weapon, which covers the lower half of her face. She is presently still trying to get the bolt into the weapon, but because she has it laid down horizontally it's proving a bit tricky--she's not used to holding it this way. The movement of her head and her hands is what catches Fin'seye and without a moment's hesitation, he sends a bolt of psychic energy into her face. She convulses and while Finis too far away to see it, her eyes roll back into her head in agony as she begins to relive the worst day of her life in such agonizing detail that it literally consumes her. She lies dead, bolt still in hand.
(Interesting aside: the worst day of her life was actually today for obvious reasons but also because a few hours ago when she found out that Mrkch, her brother, had been exiled from the clan for stealing from within the horde. It was her worst day because actually, she had been stealing and while she was glad he got the blame for it, she knew her days of squirrelling away extra coins was over and this thoroughly bummed her out. Her death then felt like the personification of unrequited greed.)

Effulgyn’s defensive spell ends, the huge apple disappears, and the halfling blinks in awe at the effects of Ferg’s second Thunderwave.‘You’ll be a great wizard someday Ferg, I know it,’he thinks.
Leaping back atop the mound to view the fourth, injured goblin, the young wizard’s brow tilts forward in the darkness, and his irises glow with arcane light as he shouts, “B’djet Q’imbti!,”. A tiny blob of green acid comes into being, whistling a merry tune. Effulgyn points an eyebrow, and the blob shrugs, then screams in its tiny voice,“Q’imb-Tiiii!!!,” and flies at the goblin, its tiny form clenched in effort.
(Action: cast Acid Splash: You hurl a bubble of acid. A target must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw ( DC 12) or take 1 acid damage.)
Effulgyn'stiny green blob of acid flies at the goblin's face at record speed, and in his panic (not to mention the rivulet of blood still running down his face, obscuring his vision) the goblin is unable to duck completely out of the way. The acid lands on the helix of his formidable ear, tearing a hole right through it.
The goblin takes up his short bow and aims at Finwho is, again, the tallest and closest target (so much easier to see) but then he seems to think better of it.
Truce! he yells, letting the bolt of the short bow fall. "I surrender!"
He drops to his knees, groveling.

This is a good question! I have not obeyed the longstanding rules about all orcs or goblins being evil so I think it is good advice not to assume alignment on a race. I am leaving it up to you to determine the true nature of the characters. I would be happy to have the players roll whichever skills checks they feel necessary to figure it out and will do my best to describe things meaningfully now that I have found my groove in this kind of campaign!
