Fin had left his shield with the wagon. No sense in carrying such a conspicuous and cumbersome thing in for a meal. He did, however maintain his mail overcoat and sword. He figured if he was supposed to be a guard, he should keep the look. It'd be a odd look to walk in and right back out... "Can't say much to the rest, but I need a drink, a bite to eat, and a few rounds to win back what the meal cost. What've you got going?" Fin's eager smile was done up a little too showy for the attitude he tried to carry.
Grishkar Darkmoor, Necromancer of Nerull the Despiser Kelvin Rabbitfoot, Diviner, con artist, always hunting for a good sale Bründir Halfshield, Valor Bard, three-time Sheercleft Drinking Competition Champion, Hometown hero
Ferg steps forward "We were hoping for some simple food and drink. It appears we came to the wrong place." He turns to the others and in Fin's ear, not letting the proprietor hear (if possible) "Do we really want to throw money at a house odds? The best chance is you lose a little. The worst chance is you lose a lot." He waits to see if they can find food.
The bugbear puffs out his chest and in what can only be described as pride, lists out the games that are available at the moment.
"We've got a table of 21 happening, and we got the Wheel going, and a game of Three Dragon Ante happening in one of the suites but you'd have to wait for the next tourney. The Fights won't happen until tonight--but we are always looking for challengers,: he says, eyeing you all anew. "And finally Gladys over there is always looking for bets on her rats." he gestures to an ancient looking woman wearing a bright blue feather in her messy steel wool grey hair. She's wearing a flowery dress with no shape, and is drinking a glass of thick white viscous fluid. She is standing near some sort of oval construction that stands three feet high. You can't see what it is.
"In terms of food," he says, addressing Ferg, "we can whip of a simple meal, I reckon. Nothing as fancy as the Dew Drop next door but you'd be having too much fun to think about that."
He finishes his spiel looking satisfied. "Oh!" he says, as an afterthought. "And cover charge is 5 gold pieces each. You know, for tourism."

The bugbear hears Effulgyn’s thanks drift up from the vicinity of the creature’s kneecaps. Effulgyn turns and says, “Dew Drop sounds like what we’re after. Come on lads,” heading back to the entry.
As you turn to leave, you see two adult Rabbitfolk coming up the steps. They eye you with interest, and enter The Eight with a simple nod to the Bugbear.
"Consider coming back for a fight," he calls after you. "They start at 7:00!"

Effulgyn gives the rabbit folk a subtle glance, trying to take in as much information as possible. Do the newcomers bear a family resemblance to Coney, Brie, et alia? Could they be “ma and pa?”
The Dew Drop Inn is a small, tidy building nestled in a copse of different types of trees, adding to an almost serene, lush vibe that is quite the contrast from The Eight. There is a little tie out near the side of the building so Asterix can now tied in shade and graze in the grass there.

You climb up a few well-maintained stairs to enter a small, tidy restaurant with stone floors made warm by a massive red carpet and a hearth to the left center of the room, though the latter has nothing but wood piled neatly, unlit, in its grate. A white-haired half elf with multiple earrings across both ears greets you with a smile at the door and gestures into the dining area.
"Welcome to the Dew Drop, I'm Heldeen and I'll look after you. Take any seat that's free" she says.
There are four round tables that seat seven apiece, one of which has two people at it, another of which has three. There is also a large rectangular table at the end of the room with a party of six. You can choose to sit at of two empty tables near the kitchen door--one near the full rectangular table, or one nearest the door. (Your choices are visualized here).
Which table do you choose?

“Greetin’s, Heldeen, I’m Effulgyn Nimblewynde, of the Voture Village Nimblewyndes, and me crew and I are famished. Can ye bring some lightened honey mead fer us, and toasted barley bread, and jam, and cheese?” Effulgyn follows Arc’s lead. ‘Humph. All extra-large tables and chairs and nothing for folk my size,’ he thinks. He rolls his eyes but smiles and finds a seat.
When the hostess has left, he leans into the table and whispers to the party, “Lads, did ya notice the different-colored clothing the rabbit folk wear? Blue on the road — Coney and Brie and them — and the two who entered the Eights, red?”

Fin follows the rest. Not one to gamble usually, but the fights sounded interesting. Not much to rig odds when you're slugging it out.
