They also appear to be wearing various shades of blue such that at first, in a different context maybe, you would have assumed they were part of a Batball league or something. (FROM POST #295)
...maybe they're from different clans or somethin'?"

OOC I rolled for Ferg and the seating arrangements are as follows. What this means is that Fin you can maybe hear some conversations that are happening in the kitchen, and Ferg might hear some conversations that are happening at the table behind. Effulgyn and Arc, from their vantage, may hear conversations from entering and exiting patrons as they are closest to the main door.

Presently, Heldeen returns to the table with a platter, upon which is a large pitcher of golden liquid and five handsome, sturdy glasses, a basket of bread, and an assortment of jams and cheeses. She places the lot down a little awkwardly--she really ought to have had help, or done two trips--but everything stays upright. "Sorry about that!" she says in a bright, tinkling voice. "Here start with that, and I'll be back to check on you." She turns with another brief smile, and before you can say anything, she is walking away, checking in on the other patrons.

Fin will lean in his chair towards the kitchen. Cooks' gossip was always interesting, whether about some special ingredient or botched plate. Maybe something even more interesting would even come up?

Effulgyn, humming merrily to himself, is far too interested in breakfast to eavesdrop. He tucks in, sitting with perfect posture, although his elbows point straight out too and nudge those beside him while he spread his jam, oblivious and overjoyed.

Ferg digs in and enjoys the simple food. He does like to stay alert and if anything is being said at the table nearest him he will listen. (another perception if needed here: 5 )
"The rabbitfolk don't appear dangerous but you are right Fin and Effulgyn, we should avoid any complications and... " Ferg chuckles a little "... they are not afraid to talk are they? It is a good bet most of their acquaintance has heard stories about their meeting us on the road. Not what we need if we are trying to lay low."
Fin from your vantage, with your chair as close to the kitchen door as possible, you can hear two low voices erupts in spurts of short conversation--but so far you haven't been able to make out any of the words. Maybe when Heldeen goes back in there will be more.

Ferg, the folks at the table behind you are speaking somewhat softly so from your position at the table you are unable to hear anything at all, and since your back is to the table, you can't see who is sitting there without being obvious. If Arc will kindly roll a perception check (with advantage) perhaps he can describe the people at the other tables.

Arc leans into the table and relays the following:
1) The table nearest Ferg has three Tieflings deep into their meals, not talking much. I recognize the tell-tale signs of folks who regularly work with metal: odd tan lines on their faces, scarred and burnt hands.
2) The table at the far left of the room only has two people at it -- an elderly human man and woman. It's a bit awkward--I unfortunately seem to have made eye contact with the woman and now I'm pretty sure they're discussing me.
3) The rectangular table in the back has six people sat at it - -hard to see much about them but, based on the volume of their voices and the animated way with which they are speaking, I get the impression they are celebrating something. The two people facing the rest of the restaurant, with their backs to the wall, are clearly visible to me and I believe that the one on the left is an elf with long auburn hair and very large ears (even for an elf), and the one on the right is a dwarf with a massive beard and a bald head (except for the back, which starts at about his ears). They are wearing similar dark leather clothing. In fact they kind of look like uniforms, guards maybe?

Satisfied, Effulgyn pauses in his gustatory revelry and dabs at his mouth with a napkin. Looking up to see if he can identify who might be the owner of the establishment (Perception: 9), the others may notice a drop of jam on the tip of his nose.
Whatever the result of his perception roll, when Heldeen returns, the halfling asks her, "Miss, is this your place? Or does it belong to one of the cooks, mebbe? This here mead is top-notch, and bein' as you're plainly discernin'... Ya might find the fact that I'm a brewer to be of interest." He smiles, assessing her reaction, then his eyes go crossed for a moment as he spots the jam on his nose, and he chuckles and shakes his head as he wipes it off. 'I want to make 'em think there's nothin' t' worry about wit' us,' he thinks. 'And that may have done the trick.' (Deception, using Inspiration for advantage: 17 - the desired result is that Heldeen laughs with him and is put at ease.)
Haldeen stares at Effulgyn blankly for a moment as if caught off guard by his question.
"Owner? ME? Ha, no. " she laughs that tinkling laugh. "The owner is upstairs at present, probably giving one of her classes. She's a diviner" Haldeen says conspirationally, with emphasis on this last word. At that, she rushes into the kitchen with her tray full of things and then returns moments later with the tray empty, as though there was no interruption in the conversation.
"So you're a brewer eh?" she asks, clearing the table deftly. "And you said from Voture Village? Why does that ring a bell to me...?"

"Nimblewynde Farm..."she says, as if rolling the words, letter by letter, across her tongue. Her brow furrows with the effort, but just then, an erruption of raucus laughter from the rectangular table in the back shifts her focus and she looks at you afresh.
"Yeah, a proper future teller! She predicted many of the happenings around here, or so they say. They say she's magic."
