As you all walk through the mists, your see twisted shadows, hear distant howls and chittering of creatures. Shapes and figures form briefly in the surrounding mists and disappear just as quickly as they are formed. You lose track of time while still pressing forward, one foot in front of the other. Gradually, the haze gives way, revealing a bald hilltop. There stands a grim black tower, the last defiant turret of a long-crumbled fortress. Attached to this tower is a three-story manor house, weather beaten and veined with ivy. A porch girds the house, its sagging roof sheltering a stout front door that stand open and emits a flickering light. As you creep closer and closer, near the side of the house you see an ornately carved and decorated carriage. It is quite beautiful and shiny. What little light coming from the house glints off the metallic details of this wonderous looking vehicle. The back end seems to be open and two men seem to be unloading some equipment. You notice one of them appears shorter than the other. He sits in a wheelchair, but seems to have no problems moving it and unloading equipment.
"I'll keep eyes to the mist." Nuzar answers, recognizing herself as a capable scout and splinters off to the side a good 10 feet from Emrys, hunched and being a bit more stealthy. As the shapes and figures started to appear, Nuzar produced one of her blades, clutching it tightly and ready to defend herself from any beast or creature that would jump from the veil.
As the tower and manor come into view and the mist starts to dissipate, Nuzar puts the blade away. Observing the manor and tower, as well as the carriage behind the house, Nuzar observes the two workers unloading the carriage.
Do they looked to be armed in any way? Are they talking and can they be heard from a safe distance to where we aren't noticed? If we cannot hear them, Nuzar would give a signal to the rest of the group and let them know she will get closer and hide behind an object to eavesdrop on their business here.
Sophiel nods toward Nuzar and uses druidcraft to snuff out her torch once the fog clears. As her deep black eye gaze toward the carriage, she is struck with both awe and familiarity. She has seen contraptions like this before, though she can't quite remember where. She stops fluttering her wings and begins to lightly tread, not trying to hide but also not trying to be noticed.
Emrys watches the half-orc go of to the side and nods in approval. When he sees the men he stops and makes kneels, waving the others to do the same. Turning so he can see the group he holds up to fingers, then points to the house.
The Dwarf priest is the most heavily armored. The others might surprise him, but are also more likely to be hurt by surprise.
Pointing to himself and the Dwarf, he then motions to the house. For the others, he signals to stay.
Wraith looks down, and hesitantly crouches at the soldier's direction. When she looks up her gaze is fixed on the carriage and it's cargo. All very fine. Indications of wealth. Coin. Ripe for the plucking. She was about to make her move when she realized that she was not alone. This group. Her new companions. What to do? She had always worked alone to bring down marks and get paid. This was new and frankly, a bit uncomfortable. If she acted alone it could jeopardize the others. She didn't know these folks but she wasn't evil. She would have to learn to work with them on this strange trip. She quietly sighed and held her ground.
Ra’Salva kneels with the others. He struggles to contain a cough that is trying to rattle up from his lungs. The misty night air isn’t helping his situation. He whispers to the person behind him “we must look like a gang of prowlers scuttling about out here in the mist, come to make off with the good silver.”
As Emrys calls him forward he moves up next to the half-orc. When he gets to him he just looks at him “I assume you want us to go forward and figure out if they are friendly or not.” he says just taking in the house and carriage.
He just reaches out and touches Emrys shoulder and then his “May the Everlight guide our way. After you.”

WTF?
Ugh, not what it said before. See below for roll.
For those who might have missed it, it said "Rolls not available at this time" or something to that effect. Then when I edited to show my irritation, it processed the roll. 🙄🙄🙄
Though Emrys fumbles his signals, Ogden is able to understand what he meant with his hand signals. Nuzar attempts to stay in the shadows, however Wraith trips over something. This causes her to bump into Ra'Salva, which in turn causes him to bump into Sophiel. As yall all stumble forward, Nuzar hears a clicking behind her and a voice stating, "Who are you?" Nuzar feels something cold pointed toward the back of her head... "I'll ask you one more time, Who are you?"
Nuzar let's out a breath upon feeling a presence behind her, and she can take a few guesses what it can possibly be. She was thanking everything she decided not to draw any arms to look like a threat.
Calmly, she'd answer whom was behind her, "My name is Nuzar. Myself and the others got lost in the fog and ended up here. We did not know if it was safe to approach so I tried to figure it out. I mean no malice or harm."
Getting up, dusting off her tattered but previously clean stark white chemise. She quickly pulls her cloak tight again. Turning to Nuzar and the stranger she states, "She speaks true, friend. We are but travellers seeking shelter for the night. We got lost in these dreadful mists. Please, do you know, does this fine inn have rooms for weary and now dirty travellers?"
You here a voice rings out from the house, "Alan, my love, put that silly gun away. These people are obviously the help we asked old Rudy for." A gentleman who looks like he's in his early to mid 30s walks away from the building to meet that group. "Hello all, nice to meet you. I'm Dr. Arthur Sedwick and that would be my husband, Alanik Ray. My apologies for my husband's less then warm welcome. I assume Rudolph sent you?" He smiles and motions for Alanik to wheel himself around Nuzar. Alanik holsters his gun in a part of the chair. "Sorry about that dearies. We weren't expecting you quite this soon." His eyes, calculating and cautious, look each one of you up and down. The elf wheels himself around Nuzar and pulls up beside Arthur.
Nuzar sighs in relief feeling the muzzle of the gun leave the back of her head and Alanik start to roll around her for get a good view of the two. That gun looks nice...
"Might I ask, Doctor Sedwick, Mr. Ray..." She gives a glance to the elf who held her up. "Name is Nuzar, by the way. This Rudolph you both are friendly with have a thing for silver lamp posts? If so then yes, Rudolph has sent us to help you both." She would nod her head in greeting.
"Would you care to brief us about why we're here outside or inside? Because we don't know a damnned thing, Rudolph was being somewhat cryptic in the letter."
