Caine looks from the ghost, to the rest of the group and then back out into the hallway. This feels like a close-the-door-and-pretend-like-nothing-happened scenario to him.
He backs up until he’s actually in the hallway looking into the room, not wanting to attract the attention of the spirit.
"Ghosts? That's just great. Animated armor, brooms, what's next, ghost baby? When do we start just smashing through walls and be done with this place?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
“I think I understand. I wouldn’t want to… disturb the sleeping child.” Razi also backs away slowly but stops before exiting. He stops and looks at the spirit, a mixture of fear and pity on his face. “What can I do to help you, young lady. You are so distressed.”

Jim thinks for a moment considering what the ghost is saying, and then looks over at Nelyna, "Nely... I mean, Rose will make sure that Walter is safe."
Jim then gesture's to Nelyna trying to get her to play a long, "Won't you Rose? You will make sure that your baby brother is safe won't you?"

Caine follows the conversation with the ghost, pretty sure this will not have a happy ending.
"Is this one of those deals where she has unfinished business and we have to finish it for her and then she can bugger off?" Caine asks. "Hope it's not making sure the kid lives to a ripe old age because I think that boat sailed a long time ago."
Nelyna shrieked when the ghostly apparition clutched at her, but with an embarrassed blush, she managed to gather herself quickly. Now she catches Jim's plan and nods along.
"Y-yes," she stutters, staring at the ghost. What else did this house have to throw at them? First an animated suit of armor, then a broom, and now finally a fully-fledged ghost! "I'll make sure Walter is safe," she says in her most soothing voice. "Let me just check on him. It's all right."
Nelyna moves closer to the nursery door, watching the ghost to see if she will let her pass.
Razi smiles reassuringly at both Nelyna and the specter, projecting calmness and serenity.
Inside he is churning. This is dangerous.

Tentatively, Nelyna approaches the crib. Knowing this house nothing good can possibly be hidden under that black shroud, but she did tell the ghost she would check on the baby...She glances back toward Razi, glad that he seems to be ready to provide backup should anything go awry.
With a slightly shaking hand, she reaches out and pulls back the black shroud, peering down into the crib.

Caine, despite his better judgement is drawn back into the room by the drama unfolding. He ends up coming in enough to watch Nelyna at the crib and then the nursemaid ghost disappearing. He looks around to see if it snuck around behind them then smiles.
"Well that wasn't so bad for a change," Caine says. "So now what? Camp out in the master bedroom back there for the night, or whatever passes for night here? Or head up the stairs in the secret stairwell? Always good things in the attic."
"I think we just need to take a rest for a moment," Jim replies. "I don't have any interest in spending a night in here, but an hour should do it. Just enough time to get my breath back."

Razi follows the others back down, relieved that they will take some time to gather themselves before proceeding. He sits down in one of the chairs in the master bedroom, pondering their predicament. Why have his powers been so ineffective here?
Razi does not need to spend any hit dice but he does recover his level one pact spell slot after a short rest.

Having seen what lays ahead of them in the attic, Caine nod at Jim and suggests they go back down to the floor before and put their feet up for a bit.
"Really hoping a couch or chair doesn't attack me while I rest my eyes."
