Caine shakes his head a couple of times, and then shrinks back from the questions of the others, turning his head from them like a dog that’s been hit before.
He looks down at his hand and then back to the dollhouse and around the room.
”He’s inside me. The boy, Thorn. He’s inside my head. I was looking at the dollhouse and saw the secret door there and then boom he’s in my head.”
Caine moves around the room a little, full of fidgety energy now. Leaning away from anyone that gets too close.
”Listen, Thorn. You can’t stay in here. Why . . . why don’t you tell me what you want? What happened to you? How’d you end up, you know, dead? Maybe we can help you find some peace and you can get out of my head.”
Nelyna doesn't appear to be paying much attention to the others or listening to what Caine is saying. Her eyes are glued on the toy chest next to the door. It has windmills painted on it. She kneels down in front of it and slowly opens the lid, peering inside at its contents.

Razi looks curiously at Caine and cannot help but notice Nelyna's sudden strange behavior.
He has a spell that could help his allies drive out the spirits (protection from evil and good) but he waits to see if this possession is hostile or if the children are just trying to communicate.

Caine turns rapidly around, sure someone was sneaking up behind him. He stares in each of the corners of the room again and only when he's satisfied no demons are about to jump out, he looks at Jim and begins to answer.
"Actually inside of me." Caine starts. "One second the boy appeared and the next there's a creepy cold feeling as he enters inside of me and now I can tell he's inside. I can hear his thoughts. And I do not want this."
He walks around again, shaking his head.
"Seriously, Thorn. Just tell me what happened to you and what you want and then get out."
"Thorn," Jim says calmly. "You can't stay in there, I'm afraid. It's not right. You don't have to move on to the next life, but you can't go around possessing people. Please come out."

Nelyna feels a sudden surge of anger as she reads the diary entry. She stands up and clutches the diary tightly in her hands. For the moment, she barely notices the notes on the spell, but she will surely copy them down into her spellbook when she as time. For now she must tell the others what she has found.
"These poor children!" she exclaims. "They were being...hurt by a family member, an Uncle Dimov." She shows the others the diary. "Terrible things happened in this house. We must help the children find peace."

Caine recoils a little at Nelyna's outburst of anger, but he listens to her words and nods.
"Yeah, what ever gets them out," Caine says. "Like Jim said, Thorn, it would be easier to help you if you got out of my head and told us what we can do to help."
If this didn't work, maybe he'd need to threaten Thorn. But after Nelyna's words, that might not go over to well and he was too scared to cross her, or any of the others.
Nelyna nods her head, already heading for the door. "We'll slay this monster and free you both." The high elf still feels compelled to take initiative. She can feel the presence of the little girl, Rose, in her mind. She must've been quite the bossy child.
She turns toward Caine. "You said you found the secret stairs that lead to the basement?"

Caine nods at Nelyna and shows her where the secret door is and the stairs leading down are in the dollhouse.
”Should be almost next door to this room.” Caine says.
He starts heading out but then stops and decides it might be best if someone else goes first. Never know what’s on the other side of that door, he thinks to himself.
Those thoughts cause him to shake his head again.
”You need to get out Thorn. I can’t fight a monster with you in my head. You being there has changed me. The very idea of going down those stairs scares the crap out of me now. Get out and let me do the job right.”

Jim nods his head, before quickly turning to the dollhouse and flipping open the bottom of the dollhouse. He will then begin investigating the basement part of the dollhouse to see if it holds any clues to what may be in store for them beneath the house.
