“Hmm” says Turval stroking his beard. “That is true for me also. I wonder what this is all about. We have many questions and I suspect that hooded figure seated across the room may be the source of the answers”.
I did actually mean the figure speaking to Kensha but I’m fine sitting down with Yashi and Kensha.
“Thank you” he says while sitting down.
“My name is Turval. Tell me, what brings the two of you here to Khazintan?”
Kensha politely inclines his head to Turval. "In truth, I do not know. I simply awoke here with my few belongings. And you, sir?"
Yashi bows politely. "My name is Yashi of Clan Tokugawa. My master said he had learned of a great conflict, that I should investigate. As I journeyed, I stopped for the night at an inn, and when I awoke, here I am. I have no knowledge of where I am for I have not heard of Khazintan. I am from Nippon.
The hooded figure stands and walks towards you. He says to you all "Good day to you. The group I represent is looking for help. As you may know, dragons are coming out of hiding and plan to destroy us. We look to stand against them, but need heroes to aid us. Do you accept my offer?"
"If the dragons will kill us all, what is the point of land, money, or dominance? I'm ready to do things for any faction as long as it means that it will save this part of the material plane.."
"I'm glad that you agree with our motives. If you truly wish to stop these monsters, find the mouth in the Mountain of Steel and ask to see the Guardians of Draeston. We shall wait and see..." His voice trails off and he grows silent, then walks away. What do you wish to do?
It doesn't take long to. After a few short glances you can tell that Khazintan is a trade center, so virtually everything one would need is there. As you walk up to the cartographer, a stout halfling with "fine clothes" on, she says "Welcome to Mary's Marvelous Maps, milord! How may I assist you today?" What is your response?
Also, a note to the players. I will try my best to post at least once a day. I'm sorry if it was a slow start, and I will attempt to do better. I encourage you to do the same. If for whatever reason there is conflict, please post it so we know. Thank you lots!
I ask the Cartographer, "Do you have a map to get to the Mountain of Steel? It would be well appreciated, in the case that you do not have a map, that you would make one. How much would this map cost?"
She replies "Ah, the Mountain of Steel? In the Dwarven Mountain Range, far to the east on the Alliance side of Draeston. About a 3 days walk, that is. I have plenty maps of the Alliance side, that's for sure. It'll cost you 5 gold. What say you?"
Perhaps I was wrong with the quote

Elanxer goes out of the tavern and looks for a cartographer outside.

Kensha fishes into the pouch he took from the chest and hand the shopkeeper the money.
"So close," he says, "Do you know anything about the conditions between here and there?"
