“You’re intent is to save Floon? Who sent ya? If ya speak the truth then we’re allies. But if it’s all the same, I’d ask ya to maybe lead the pack for a bit. Not quite up to putting my back to a complete stranger, ya see.”
"Our employer is a mister Volothamp Geddarm." Piers replies. "I suppose if you want me by the front, I'll be there until I can be trusted. Not the very very front though; you seem to have heavier armor accompanying you." He motions with his head to Idoza. "I shall do what I can to support."
He extinguishes the torch and lifts a long, slender wooden staff hanging by a strap from his back. "I didn't come alone, by the way, but I don't see where she went." He glances back to the door where he entered from.
A well dressed drow pokes her head around the corner. As she steps around the corner, she loosens her grip on her bow. "If our aim wasn't to save Floon why would we be in these cursed sewers. Do I really look like a gang member?" She strides up to Piers, trying to avoid getting her clothes any dirtier than they are. As she passes Drux, she casually says, "You already had you back to me for long enough. Why so suspicious?"
(If anyone has spent time among the upper Waterdavian society, you would recognize the symbol on Ashlynn's jacket to be that of House Nightingale, a noble and well thought of house.)
“Let’s just say my past has shown me I can usually trust those I can fight along side versus a stranger. There’s no disrespect if your intentions are honorable. And if they are, then we’ve wasted enough time and should move on to find Floon.”

Drux would attempt to hid and have his daggers ready. Stepping into the shadows as best as possible he 10 trips over nothing and falls on his face. “Guess that’s not gona work,” he grumbles.
(I suppose I misread earlier about the noise direction. heh)
Idoza, a heavily armored and fairly tall and caramel skinned human woman, was content to study the man and his companion (if visible) with golden and almost luminscent eyes. She rose a brow seeing the drow at first, before both grows went up at the symbol. "Well this got more interesting." She murmured after looking askance in thought.
"The name is Idoza, by the way." She looked up to say to the newcomers before uttering a soft prayer with a hand over her own chest. With those preparations complete, she nodded to Piers as readied a heavy headed spear and strode up to stand at the man's side.
(If Initiative gets rolled, wanting to add the d4 to her initiative.
(OOC: Idoza had a listen at the doors and hadn't heard anything. She even at least cracked open one when misinterpreting where the noise of the new arrivals came from. As far as I'm aware, nothing really came of that.)

Ashlynn nods to Idoza and introduces herself, "I am Ashlynn Nightingale. Pleasure to meet you. I will follow your lead. I would expect Floon to be where there is noise so that way maybe?" She shrugs and looks round the room for any info as to what it might be used for or anything that stands out. Investigation 17
Cat puts away her rapier and readies her shortbow just after the group leaves the room and moves to the double doors to cover them if something happens.

Piers advances with his quarterstaff as the two draw their weapons, casting shillelagh on it. The weapon grows magical brambles on the end and he reaches out to smack the duergar.
"Goodness, so quick to draw steel. We're only seeking to find a friend of ours - if you drop your weapons we may just be able to come to some sort of arrangement."

Cat waits for the reaction of these people but reserves her action taking the shot at the human who seems to be in charge if things go south from here (I suppose with a crit stealth roll I have advantage)
Attack: 20 Damage: 8 Only if the combat doesn't stop.

"Understandable. Let's get going." Piers says. He walks up to the double door and puts his ear to it.
He informs the group of this. "Any of you who prefer to attack from concealment, get ready. Let's head in."
(Anyone who would want to would be able to make a stealth check to hide before Piers opens the door, or any other needed prep.)
Once all preparations are complete, he pushes through, quarterstaff and shield at his side.
