Misprize Thou Not These Shadows That Belong: Lost Mines of Phandelver

Krull and Rabbit each get one set of doubles for their first three rolls, adding a coin to the pot each time.  Krull then manages two rolls in a row without any doubles. Rabbit's steak continues and she adds two more coins, bringing the current total to 10.

"Your luck can't hold out forever, big guy!" she taunts between sips of her drink while she waits for Krull's next roll.

(OOC - I get the same.  I'll post 5 more rolls. Yours goes first still.)

"Are you afraid you gonna lose Rabbit?" says Krull and mimicking her drinks from his mug

"Of course not!" Rabbit replies confidently to Krull. "You're gonna lose."

Each of them roll doubles for their next roll.  Then Krull doesn't get a double while Rabbit does. "I at least keep getting doubles. It's bound to pay off for me eventually, Rabbit says a bit nervously.  Each of the two again roll doubles.  Then finally, Krull gets two 4's and two 5's.  "Aaa! Ettin Heads! You got me there Krull!"  She downs the rest of her drink. 

The total pot ends up with 15 coins. (9 sp from Rabbit - so that's what she loses and Krull wins.) 

Sitting up a bit straighter, Rabbit says, "Ok! Anyone else want to join in with us? Play another round? I may need another drink too!" she says loudly. 

(OOC - We can quit here or another round if Krull or anyone wants.  I just don't want to tie us up here with dice games for too long.)  

"Haha I won! Now bring those babies here " says Krull as he takes his earnings.He drinks the rest of his mug in triumph and wipes the froth from his mouth "Now I have a better game.We will drink and whoever drinks most wins .the loser pays for the drinks. Interested? Cal?Magret?" 

(we Could still do stuff until our next journey ad a downtime activity. It's part of the role-playing so no harm comes with that)

"I say," Rabbit begins, getting up from her chair and talking rather loudly. "I say, Krull should pay since he won our little game! So go get your 'brother' here another drink!"

Krull stands up and raising his mug says "Aye i ll pay as long as Mrs Rabbit will sing for us in front of our friends "  waving and pointing at the patrons of the inn.(I rolled a 15 intelligence so he didn't fall for that )

The group enjoys themselves, but it is soon apparent that its time to go to bed. Pip thanks Calithor for the help and heads upstairs to the family apartment so obviously tired that, Trilena helps him. Toblen rings a bell "Closing Time for the bar and common room." he announces, and along with Elsa. starts cleaning up.

Droop and Darcia head towards the entrance and wait while Daran Edermath walks over to the party. he plops a large flat square package 

"This is thanks for ridding the town of the redbrands." He motions to the package "It's served me many years, While I as a member of the Order of the Gauntlet." He looks deep in thought towards it then back "I was hoping to partition you brave souls to find out what's going on Northeast of here at a place called the Old Owl Well."  

"Wait! I was going to sing!" Rabbit calls out to whoever would listen. "Do we really have to go?"  

She is soon distracted by Daran, looking curiously at the package her set on the table. "You've given us a large flat square? Thanks, but you can't trick me. I'm not parting with my soul! Not for a square. But I think we're going northeast anyway, so we could look for the Owl Owl thing."  She looks over at Calithor. "We are going northeast, right?" 

Toblen shrugs "We no longer have a band. But if your bard friend wants to play, I wont try and stop you. Oh and your rooms are ready."

Daran laughs "No this is my armor. Since I retired I do not wear it anymore, It's a gift. Maybe your fighter friend over there, Margret can wear it? Its scale male, made of a very lite, flexible material."

Rabbit looks from the square package then over to Margret several times. She seems to be having a hard time imagining the square shape fitting the woman. But she shrugs. "Well, thanks Daran, I'm sure it's a lovely gift.  Now, guess we need to know where this Owl Owl place is don't we?" 

"And! No band needed for the song! I'm ready! It's not like I really know how to sing anyway."  She starts to sing out, holding the first note a long time:

She stops, making an overly deep bow and nearly falling over.  Righting herself she looks over at Krull. "Now you gotta pay up!"  She then looks back at Daran as though the song hadn't happened. "Now, you were telling me about Owl Owl?" 

Krull bursting to laugh says "Its only fair and square!I ll pay alright." Turning to Daran asks himm"Order of the gauntlet?Oh so you were a gladiator?!"

(How much then is for the few rounds of pints? )

Toblen Stonehill mans the bar while the waitress Elsa serves you drinks and food, the entertainment is the young lad Pip, Tolben's son. Whom, is just learning the viola, his wife Trilena plays the lute while two goblins attempt a duet.

Daran watches with mirth at a far table while the crowd laughs.

Your group gets charged five silver to drink and eat, till closing time

 Course If you want to contribute to the Pip bard college fund that's up to you. And probably tip Elsa.

Krull goes to the bar and leaves 7 silver coins "That's for the drinks and food and those extra are  for elsa and the  small kid .i feel they should after all that work." 

Calithor smiles and nods at Pip, "You are most welcome, Sir," he says with a slight bow. "I will gladly accompany you any time." Then he nods at Toben's off, "Next time! It's always nice to play in front of an appreciative audience."

He is making ready to leave when Daran  arrives with his package. Curious, he waits to see what the man wants.

"Aye," he says to Rabbit, "I think that's what we agreed. But nothing's set in stone. Perhaps when we all have ... ah ... clearer heads in the morning we should make our plans."

Going back Krull rubs his hands "Now we have to think about resting and tomorrow we can prepare for the few jobs we are about to take.That place with the well should be our first stop"

"Aye. Bed calls." Turning to Krull he adds with a smile, "Why don't you help your brother up to her room?"
