After Calithor's attack one of the swarm looks lessened to half its members.

Margret remember Krull is covered with these insects you might hit him if you mess up

Knowing full well her spell may effect her friend (we can heal him) she summons her energy and casts sleep (27 rolled in game log) hoping to put the active swarm to sleep

Condition Immunities Charmed, Frightened, Grappled, Paralyzed, Petrified, Prone, Restrained, Stunned

Krull who has exactly 27hp left falls asleep lol

“Damn, hit ‘em with something and he’ll wake up.” Margret says, irritated. 

Calithor stared in horror as the stricken Goliath collapsed, thinking he had succumbed to poison. Then at Margarets words he laughs. "I think the little beasties will have that sorted for you!"

The sight of Krull, asleep and surrounded by carrion crawlers, would have to make it into a song.

Rabbit allows the bonfire she created to disappear (drops Concentration).  She returns to casting Chill Touch, causing a ghostly hand to appear near the swarm. The hand tries to touch the swarm. 
(Spell Attack: 10 Damage: 4)

The remainder of one of the swarm that was about to join the other perishes, scooped away destroyed, by a skeletal hand. But the other remains  Biting Krull on the rear with advantage for 22 and 11 damage rudely awakening him! Sadly Krull was dreaming about having a massage with a thousand fingers invigorating him, Calithor, singing heroic songs about him in a, lullaby.

Calithor does what he can to harm the repulsive creatures without causing harm to Krull. Again, they are bathed in searing radiance.

Dex 15 or Take 3 damage.

"Hey who pinched me?!" says Krull as he woke up from the pain

”I know this battle is a bit easy for you Krull please but can you at least  stay awake?” The embarrassed Margret sneers, trying to divert attention from her last choice of spells.

Three more of the little creatures pop like popcorn in the radiant light, it gives Calithor an Ideal that maybe he found a new way to cook food.

Margret summons her energy and throws fire at the little creatures.  She hopes her friend will understand 

firebolt 24 crit to hit, damage 6

Krull feels the heat of the fire but the flame doesn't touch him but six more fall, glowing like embers

"Come on Krull, you got to get away from those things," Rabbit calls out as she again casts Chill Touch trying to get the ghostly hand to sweep away the last of the swarm.
