Having ridden a few times before Calithor waits while the others get ready, content to finish his food and pack at his own leisurely pace. When it finally seems that everyone is ready, he mounts and turns to Krull. "Lead on, oh Master of the Wilds!"
(just cuz Rabbit is so perceptive, Margret will ponder if she remembers anything from her training in the guard or has heard things about white dragons: Strengths and weaknesses: History: 12 Investigation: 19, rolled in log)
It's come near the end of the day, Krull, Rabbit and Calithor, find a spot out of the way to set up camp for the night, a shallow cave slightly above the ground with a slight incline to lead the horses donkey and cart inside, where all fits. Margret doesn't know much but she is sure that the white dragon they've been seeing is young, and since the orcs they found earlier were mostly frozen. They like their food cold and reside in colder climes. (Margret to investigate, you need something tangible and visible, to do so. Books for research, a body, a door, exedra. Acana or Nature was the skills, you're looking for.)
As you set up camp, in the far distance, perhaps a half mile away. Four flying humanoid forms, send rocks down on what you think are a herd of deer, but the exact details are very fuzzy, for the darkness of night, has already crept over the valley, leaving only twilight. What is clear, the trail you must follow, passes right by there.
"Look up there..Best to avoid them save our energy for other battles..if not then learn about them..but make sure they won't ambush us" says Krull pointing at the flying creatures "light is our best friend..better leave in the morning "
“Yeah, or even at first light. Perhaps they will be asleep at that time or dormant like bees.” Margret shares her theory of the young white dragon and also, “I’m glad we decided to not take the mountain trail. We may have had a greater chance of running into that dragon up there.”
Krull never occurred to him that there were more chances to encounter the white dragon "**** I never thought that!Yeah glad we took the long path as we are not ready to fight him!As for those creatures the horses could be of help..if they attack them then we can take them by Surprise!! " giving an emphasis on the last word
"What do you suppose the flying things are?" Rabbit asks the others. "I agree, best we take shelter for the night and try to avoid those things. Can we get the horses hidden so they don't attract them?" She glances first over to Droop, for his advice with the horses, figuring he's their expert on such things.
Margret will study the large creatures dropping the rocks. She is trying to determine if they are being controlled by riders, or if they are more of a pack predator mentality, swooping down, grabbing rocks, then dropping them. (nature: 6)
Calithor frowns into the distance when he first sees the creature, wracking his brains trying to work out what they might be. "I don't fancy being attacked from above. Seems awfully unsporting."
Margret reflects on Calithors observations, "Hum, there is a type of bird that lives by the sea. It will grab clams from the shore, fly up high, and drop them to crack open their shells. Then it eats the insides." She thinks for a bit, "These things sound like they could be even more intelligent."

It takes most of the day to get back to the hills, with Krull's guidance, you're now at the foothills where the map says the trail begins again.
