Edryd limps over to the Redbrand and kneels down in front of him. "We come to this village to help make a better life for those living here, to spread the glory of Selune. Not one of us seeks violence but you bring it to us. Why attack us? What fuels your anger that caused these men to lose thier lives today?" Edryd gets close enough that the man can feel his putrid breath on face as he speaks.
The Redbrand rolls his eyes at your proselytizing but answers, "Please, priest. You're mercenaries, hired thugs, just like us. Only thing different is who's payin'. We're supposed to scare off anyone who looks like they can fight and keep the locals on their heels, don't ask me why - I don't know. Only know the Black Spider pays well and that's the job. Coin is coin."
Wolfe keeps his calm and magically removes the blood from his shining boot. "We are nothing like you thug, and we would certainly not terrorize peaceful villagers. Now tell us about the Black Spider and where the rest of your lot hide out." He says, calmly.
The Redbrand scoffs, "Whatever makes you feel better, pretty boy. It's under the Manor," moves his head to the east. "Over there." The thug is gesturing towards the big home on a low hill to the east, at the end of this road.
[I'm not sure you asked anyone about the place yet, I don't think so anyways].
"You forgot to tell us about the Black Spider, but we'll give you another chance at that. Tell us about that manor while you're at it, how many are you, any spellcaster, and such."Wolfe continues.
The Redbrand grins through bloody teeth. "No one knows who or what the Black Spider is...and those who ask usually disappear. Glasstaff is our leader, our wizard. I don't know how many there are, but I know it was the Black Spider who sent the bugbears to help us. Plus there's that eye creature," Redbrand shivers at that. "There are prisoners too, down there, under the manor - that's where we our base is."
"What more do you want? You've captured me. I suppose it's the cells for me, eh?" By this time, a few people are coming around, alerted by the noise. Commoners mostly, but townsfolk all the same. They watch you interrogate the Redbrand. They begin to giggle and point. "Lock him up!" they yell. "Put him away in the jail!" However, they are also not pleased by Krull and his brutalistic and bloody methods. Several people can be seen with tears in their eyes, or shielding their faces and eyes from the sight, or shaking their heads. You think you hear a call for "guards" and "murder" in the streets...it likely won't be long before some sort of militia happens upon you....

Wolfe looks for someone to take over responsibility for the Redbrand before they move on. "Apologies for the mess, but I can assure you we were being attacked and just did our best in defending ourselves." He says to whoever steps forward to take the Redbrand into custody. Persuasion to smooth things over, hoping for some assistance by Rabbit, but motioning for Krull to stand back, and perhaps put that head down now. Persuasion: 13
"Perhaps we should pay a quick visit to the Sleeping Giant before we investigate that manor and its dungeons. Can we go on though or should we take a breather at the Sleeping Giant first?" He says as the Redbrand is released to the proper authorities.
Krull nods at Wolfe and puts aside the head taking back his javelin..he looks at the prisoner and replies as they are going to take him into jail "you got it right tough guy.. we are mercenaries ..mostly speaking for myself..but even we have boundaries..We don't hit girls!now you are lucky and it ll be a lesson to you..chose wisely your next battles"
"Krull, you have a lot to learn about how people communicate, but stick to what you know and you will learn the rest in time." Wolfe says with a smile as they leave for the Sleeping Giant.
Redbrand grins again. "Right, but you behead people and stick them on pointy sticks. Did you know Jarren - that's the name of the head you just tossed around - his family lives right here in town? Wonder how they'd feel about your boundaries." Redbrand spits more blood and just grins as he's hauled away by his arms, feet dragging on the ground. "And that ***** deserved what I gave her...Let that be a lesson to all of you!” He shouts the end part. “Mind your damn business or else!”
At this moment, a fat out-of-breath human male huffs up to you and takes in the scene. It's Harbin, the Townmaster. He gasps in a nasal, pig-like voice, "Oh, great. What did you do?"he gasps. "Redbrands! Do you know what is going to happen know? They are going to take it out on the town, the people. And what am I supposed to do with him? You have two days before I release him. You've caused quite a mess here, the townsfolk are going to be scared. Take'em away boys!" Harbin shakes his head as he hobbles away, his massive girth threatening to break his too-thin legs.
From behind you comes another voice, softer and a bit soothing, "Well, well, well. I don't believe I've met you...yet." You turn to see a slim dark haired woman with striking features smiling at you. She wears dark leather armor. "Name's Halia. Think I saw you at the Coster today. I'm the guildmaster at the Miner's Exchange here in town. Thought you'd come and say hello. You all seem to know what you're doing with those weapons,"she nods approvingly. "I might have a bit of information for you, if you're of a mind to do something about these mindless thugs."
"Well I'm sorry for Jarrens family, they must have been real proud of him for terrorizing his own neigbours." Wolfe says clamly, but then he actually is close to losing his temper as Elsa is mentioned once more. "Just take him out of my sight." He says.
"Your welcome."Wolfe says dryly to the cowardly townmaster. "We will deal with the rest of the Redbrands within that time, you can go back to your gormandizing now."
"Yes, dealing with these mindless thugs is what we have in mind Halia. Nice to meet someone who shares our interest in that for a change. Please tell us what you know of them."
Krull doesn't like his answer..he looks at him.."I promised myself I would kill the one who did this..enjoy your last days cause I will hunt you down!" .as he lowers down his handaxe and holsters it on his belt looks back at the townmaster somewhat unimpressed..he mutters 'that's their chieftain? He is fat as that wildboar..no muscles..just fat'
Krull ignores him and turns to his companions " I think we should eat something and gain some strength before we go find this Glassman in his big house.." his belly started rumbling.."boy I would like to eat ..that fat boy who is supposedly the chieftain of this village reminded me that wildboar..and now I am hungry "
"Yes, yes, let me finish our business with Halia here and we can have a meal and a rest back at the Stonehill Inn before we proceed." Wolfe says to the Goliath before turning to Halia again. "So, the information you had?"

Rabbit hangs back from the butchering and interrogating, leaning against the wall of one of the buildings. She keeps an eye open for anything odd. (Perception: 5)
Once Halia introduces herself, see seems a bit more interested. She comes over as the others begin talking to her. "Perhaps we should talk off the streets. But we could use information." She looks at Wolfe, then the others. "Don't think walking straight into the Sleeping Giant would be real smart."
She also looks about for Mau, not sure if he was still trying to track the one Redbrand that ran off.

Edryd gets up with the Redbrand as he is benig taken away. A bit shaken by the flurry of activity he feels a little lost in the crowd for a moment. When Halia talks he listens carefully before responding, "There does not seem to be any harm in talking and information is always good... If your motivation is righteous then perhaps we can find common ground. Lead on to your shelter, I could use some water."
Having been ambushed once Edryd is on high alert his eyes darting back and forth looking for any signs of them being followed or potential dangers. Before they head out he asks Selune for Guidance As he looks for danger.

Mau returns back to the group disappointed he could not track down the runner. Seeing the captive being dragged off he steps to the side letting them pass. “Hope we got something out of that one. Couldn’t get any leads on the runner, too much foot traffic to pin him down though he was headed East.”
