In a shy, timid voice, Mildred states, "It was already getting dark. All i could see was the dark clothing they were wearing. I was able to catch a glimpse of the one. Needed shaving badly. Bother were on larger than normal dark horses." She lowers her head, knowing it isn't much to go by. "I don't know who or why anyone would take the children." she starts crying again.
"They seemed to look like normal fellow." Elise chimed in. "I wish i could be more help, but I do have an appointment to keep in the city. When i did see them, they were out near the fork in the road a few hours north of here." she finished.
"We've got many friend and few foe. Haven't crossed anyone since i was a wee lad. We get the occasional ruffian, but nothing ever comes of it after they're escorted out kindly on their backsides."Olaf scratches his head and tugs on his beard. "There isn't much our dat way, north of here. Tis a long journey to Longsaddle through da woods, at least eight days."Olaf pipes up, wiping the last of his tears away. "There could be any number of places in da woods to hide. Bah!" Olaf stands up to get himself something to drink. "Aye! Come to think of it. There is an old manor up on the hill. You did mention the fork in the road, did ye not lass?" Elise nods her head. "It's maybe an hour further north of the fork. Tis gotten colder outside and more rain is due. Might slow ya down if you leave tonight." He finishes his ale.
"Please , wait here." Brea murmurs. In a few moments, she returns with a few small bags of food and a few flasks of warm green cider. "If you're leaving this late, here. The cider will help keep you warm."
Pru takes the warm cider and holds it between both her small hands.
"Thank you," she says and gives a small bow, definitely not a curtsy. "But if my adds are right, they were seen two hours north and this manor is an hour further on. Even if the rain slows us down, spending the night to wait it out is even slower."
She eyes the parents, curious about them. If these were her kids she can't imagine sitting here and telling a would be rescuer to wait until morning. Are they hiding something? She watches their body language carefully, the level of their gaze, and timber of their voices.
Laura shakes her head and mutters to Aranor, "Only their attitude."
As the parents finish talking, she says, "Rain shouldn't slow us down too much. It does smell wonderful out there." She pulls up the hood of her cloak and prepares to leave.
Still holding the cider flask in one hand, Pru stuffs her bag of food into her pack, draws her cloak tight and walks quickly to the door, only colliding with one chair on her way.
"Let's go, let's go, let's go," she says, almost singing the words.
I can't believe I'm following a tiny halfling woman, Aranor thinks to himself, grimacing a little. Shaking his head, he thanks Olaf, Brea, and Mildred for the food and cider, placing them in his pack. At Laura's quip about attitude, he grimaces again but bites his tongue. If they are to be traveling together, it's probably better not to stir the pot too much.
"Yes, let's go," he says. "A little rain never hurt anyone."
Kaladin nods sharply stands up stowing away the food and pulls on his helm none of you have foolish notions of keeping them alive when we find them? good. Lets go

This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?
quote from Romantically Apocalyptic byVitaly S Alexius
You have traveled for a few hours in the pouring rain, the horses slipping here and there. It has gotten a bit colder, the rain stings as it hits your skin. Minor numbness is starting to set in on your fingers and exposed skin. Up ahead, you can hear some screaming and the howl of wolves. You can see a flame waving and back and forth. As you get closer, you can see three wolves circling an over turned wagon. There seems to be some one trapped underneath. The young lady has sword in one hand, a torch in the other. Her clothes are muddied and torn. The horse is off over along the wood line. Next to it, lays the wagon wheel that fell off. Just beyond the wagon you can see a fork in the road as the lightning streaks across the sky.
Upon seeing the overturned wagon surrounded by the wolves, Aranor unsheathes his sword and rushes toward the wolves. There's a lone woman trying to fend the beasts off, and she won't make it unless she has some help.
Pru had been tinkering with her lyre as she rode but she stops strumming as soon as she sees the what lay ahead.
"Well that won't do," Pru says as she slips off the back of the pony she was riding.
With her lyre in one hand, she focuses for a second, feeling the vibrations of the world around her coursing through the strings of the instrument.
Almost singing the words, she shouts "Soilse damhsa."
Suddenly four glowing orbs of light appear near the wagon, each one positioned between the woman and the wolves. When the wolves move, the orbs move as well, keeping bright light between them and the woman.
Pru then draws her rapier and starts running to the woman's aid.
[Action - Cast Dancing Lights to try and distract the wolves. Bonus Action - Move the lights if the wolves move. Movement: Full 25' to the woman.

As you approach the wagon, suddenly Laura's shield glares bright, surrounded by a mystical light. The light is bright enough, that you can see that a man is trapped under the wagon and the ground is covered with multiple animal tracks. Nariah headlong rushes and spears the closest wolf. The spear goes through the back side and the tip slams the ground as it exits. The wolf pinned to the ground, starts thrashing trying to grab hold of Nariah, anyway it can. A multitude of small orbs appeared out of nowhere, surrounding the young lady. They seem to dance with her movements. She startles at their sight and drops her torch, but quickly grabs it back.
One wolf jumps on top of the overturned wagon. It snarls down at the person trapped then looks back at the young lady. The third wolf turn a bit and lunges at Kalidin. Attack: 21 Damage: 5 . @Kaladin Make Strength Check DC 11
