Hofaen - The wolf to the west finds only air as it tries to snap at you. The second wolf however manages to take a chunk out of your thigh as you charge past. Your momentum carries you and Alvor to the window and you're able to toss him ungently through it. You scramble through after him and take care not to land on him on the other side.
Wolf 6 Attack: 13 Damage: 9
Wolf 5 Attack: 21 Damage: 6
You climb through the busted window and fall into street outside the tavern next to Alvor, Ankita, and Baldwin. Smoke and a thick fog fills the streets and you can hear and see large shapes bounding through the haze.
Zindarik surveys the scene of battle and concludes there is little he can do to slow the onslaught. He turns and makes a dash for the door in the south wall. He trusts his shield and chain mail will thwart any wolf teeth that might seek his flesh as he runs.
Movement = 3 squares to the west, and from there, the shortest route to the ext.
Zindarik - The wolf snaps at you as you turn to make your escape. Its jaws snap shut just clear of your arm and you manage to dash through the smoky tavern out the front door. You barrel outside into the chill of the night. Smoke and a thick fog fills the streets and you can hear and see large shapes bounding through the haze.

Ankita shouts through the open window, “Summer, Gribz, get out of there!” And seeing the heaving, huge, actually real though she still doesn’t want to believe it, werewolf in the window, she casts frostbite on it, hoping to give it disadvantage on whoever it attacks next - 1

Summer - The werewolf lashes out with a claw as you turn to leave. They tear into your side, digging deeply and spattering your blood across the tavern floor. The wound burns intensely and you suddenly feel sick to your stomach.

Wolves 1, 7, 8, and 5 surround Gribz and attack him from all sides. They latch onto his limbs, jerking and tearing in different directions. He shouts in pain and manages to say, "Run! Get out of here!" He is dragged down and disappears beneath a pile of tearing claws and snapping jaws.

All - The fog grows more and more dense as you stand in the street, obscuring everything further than 10ft away. The screams and shouts still fill the night, though they too are becoming muffled by the suffocating fog. What would you like to do? Combat has ended, feel free to post as you're able.
Hofaen’s face falls at the sounds of his fellow Half-Orc being rended limb from limb. Sighing, he extinguishes the light on his shield, kneels and casts spare the dying on Alvor saying “Tyr’s blessing be upon you”.
He lifts the still unconscious form of Alvor onto his shoulders and turns to the remaining party “This night is only becoming more dangerous, I fear we must hide. Does anyone know this town and places which may be safe?”

She looks to Hofaen, “I am not from here, so I’m pretty lost - hopefully another in our group can help.”

“I will take to the sky and survey the area. Perhaps I can see Blue Squad *chip chip*” Baldwin’s wings unfurl and he launches into the sky. He looks around, trying to utilize his avian eyes to see through the fog.
Zindarik studies the encroaching fog and muses aloud, "What curse has befallen this place?! In a matter of minutes everything's become sinister..."
He then looks above for any sign of Baldwin's return. "Like Ankita, I know nothing of our whereabouts. Any direction that leads away from this place receives my approval."
All - The fog thickens and stretches visibly around you all, muting all sight and sound but your breathing and the beating of your hearts. Every direction you turn is the same blank grey. The fog gathers around your feet, obscuring even the ground beneath you. Thick greyness crawls up your bodies, wrapping around you until you can't even see your hand in front of your face. A feeling of dissociation washes over you, you feel disconnected from reality, even your own body. If not for the feeling of the ground beneath your feet, you're afraid you'd be lost forever. You focus on the feeling, clinging to it like a drowning man at sea clings to the wreckage of his vessel. After a time the fog begins to thin. You can see your hand and the rest of your body is slowly revealed as the fog peels away. You see each other standing in a gravel road, but this place is clearly not Daggerford. It appears to be a village, its tall houses dark as tombstones. Nestled among these solemn dwellings are a handful of closed-up shops. Even the tavern is shut tight. A soft whimpering draws your eye toward a pair of children standing in the middle of an otherwise lifeless street.

Ankita does not like this feeling as the fog completely surrounds her, she isn't even sure Zindarik and Summer got out ok. She reaches out to see if she can touch Baldwin or Hofaen to no avail. Just as she is about to lose her shit, the fog dissipates. Where is she?! She looks to her new found friends, relieved to see Zindarik and Summer as well, they all seem to be about as confused as she is.
"Anybody have a clue as to what just happened? Felt like a MAJOR misty step." She sees the very strange children in front of her and is still trying to comprehend what they mean on this basically deserted ghost town of a place. She looks around at the buildings to see if she can see any movement or sign of life at all.
Ankita - The buildings all appear to be devoid of life. A few times you thought you saw movement at the edge of your vision, a face in a window, a curtain drawn aside, but when you turn to look, there is nothing. Darkened windows and empty streets. The fog is still present, at a distance of about fifty feet, obscuring all else beyond. You can see the others of your party, but you realize with a start, Alvor is nowhere to be seen.
Hofaen looks around in disbelief as the fog clears, suddenly realising the weight across his shoulders is no longer there. With nothing to hold, his hands slowly drop to his sides. Looking up and towards the children he says loudly enough for them to hear "the blessing of Tyr to you… w-where are we?.. where is Alvor??"
Hofaen - The Children look to one another, then back to you. The girl giggles and says, "You're in Barovia silly." The boy raises an eyebrow and says, "Who's Alvor?" The girl shrugs and says, "I don't know."
