"It's ok Kan, maybe the gentle way was not the right one, this time. Let me try the 'determined' way now" Khessa is not deterred by Kan's failure, goes to the nearest window and tries to crash the shutters (or to bash them open) with a few swings of her maul.
(OOC: No idea if I must roll something... just in case, here a strength check: 18 and her an attack roll: Attack: 9 Damage: 11 - if something else was needed, just tell me)
"Well, I suppose that's one way to check out this cottage." Kramyra winces as Khessa attacks the shutters and stands back a bit and away from the runes.
Khessa enters, inviting Kramyra and the others: "Come in, let's check if there's something that can be of help"
Once inside, she takes a shutter fragment in hand and mutters an arcane quick phrase, casting Light to have a clearer sight then starts looking around.
"I will never thank you enough for teaching me the way of the wizards, mistress Kramyra!" she says "How much would I have liked this spell, during my hard times in the underdark..."

“I bet that would have helped you in the underdark, I’m sorry I didn’t know you then.” Kramyra says as she climbs into the cottage. She looks around the creepy cottage…
Ev'alish, meanwhile, takes up watch outside. "I cannot condone breaking and entering to remove possessions, even if what thy intends to find may or may not be helpful to us. It doth not have a good taste in my mouth. Thus, I stay out here. My apologies."
Khessa takes a moment to come back out and pass her arm on the dragonborn's shoulders: "No need to apologize, my friend! So strong and good hearted, you remind me of my father Tobar... I'm not here to tell you (or anyone) what to do and what not. If you don't feel like to do something, it is all perfectly fine. Now, just for you to know: let's say I have a house. I simply go out. As I come back, I find that someone has broken in and taken something. Then, I'm a bit upset, that's for sure. But what if I fled my house because of an attack? And if someone took something from the house... to fend off the attacker and give my home back to me? I would then be WAAAY less upset. Do you understand? I know my means can be, sometimes, questionable. But... well, when I feel I'm doing the right thing, using some unhortodox means is quite fine by me. Ok?"
With that, she re-enters the creepy cottage and resumes her search.

Kan nods emphatically. “I agree entirely with you, but… what if someone is inside and hurt? We should look, right? But I guess it was locked, so it’s probably okay to move on… assume it’s empty.”
"Oh, goodness, males..." thinks Khessa, hearing Kan's words. "We have a mysterious and creepy cottage to explore... (not to mention that we might probably find something that helps us in our task...) and they STAY OUT?! Do they have any idea what 'curiosity' means? So glad there is mistress Kramyra with me..."
Khessa congratulates Kramyra for her findings: "Well done mistress Kramyra! Would you like to keep that potion? I really think it will do more good with you than in the hands of a worshipper of an archdevil like Asmodeus!"
She goes back outside, tells the others what she discovered and offers to identify the potion... if the party agrees to use the second gem (such a component is needed for Identify).
(Oh, all the better, Khessa identifies the potion then - casts the spell as ritual, 11 minutes instead of 1, but... well, she thinks it is time well spent, for we will then know what the potion does and thus be able to use it when needed)
"I just hope this devil worshipper is not involved in the latest disasters that stroke the village" thinks Khessa for a moment, but does not speak aloud yet... she is still intent casting the spell that will reveal the potion's powers.
...and, as finally the spell completes: "This is a Potion of healing!" Khessa announces, excited "This can save the life of one of us as effectively as Kan's spell did before with mistress Kramyra! We will all be a little bit safer, from now on"

“Were thy aware of this? Hath the owner ever caused any mischief or only worshipped privately?” Ev’alish asks the guards.

Khessa resumes her usual position at Ev'alish's side and asks the party: "So, my friends? Onwards to next house?"
And, if nobody has anything against it, she leads the group there, to continue cleaning the village from the last pillagers.
