Watching the man for a bit, you get the feeling it is not an act, but the combined stress of his family's troubles and being tortured for a couple of days bringing him to his breaking point.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Damian turns away and mutters something unhearable before turning to the others again. "We should get going, the sooner we're up from these stinking sewers the better."He says and motions for Rhogarr to continue. Stealth: 11 Perception: 18
"Oh, and Master Jhasso, just take to your right and you'll soon find yourself at a bath house. You can wait for us there and we'll escort you back to your estate." He quickly adds to Klim.
Damian - Klim looks over to you with his mouth agape and red, tear-filled eyes. He closes his mouth and looks away as he shakes his head, "I can barely stand... "
When his back is turned to Klim, you realize this is mock horror…
at the thought of leaving poor Klim to his own devices. “We will help you back, don’t you worry sir, good ole Remi will help you yes I will. You said something about a monetary reward?”
Remi - Klim looks up to you but looks away at the mention of the monetary reward, "Y-Yes... That is... Well... *clears throat* Our family has fallen on hard times as of late... But I will do what I can to... To compensate you for your help."
"So what's our plan? Are we helping this person now or let him stay here and we collect him on our way out? I feel we need to move either way." Ankita says impatiently. She then nods to her new fiery companion, "He won't be around a whole lot longer to assist either."
"Look, 'ere. There's seven keys on thus ring. Seven keys, seven locks. Might not all be folk, tortured like this bloke, but could be a few more souls breathing their last down 'ere in this putrid filth. We have to push on, but we can't leVe this one. .Damian, yiu take the keys. I'll see him back to safety. I'll pass him to the Flaming first fist I see." says Rah'zher
“As crude as Damian might be, he is correct, as is Mister Rah’zher. We have others to save down here potentially. If these cultist can abscond a member of the patriar, they must be eradicated for the safety of Baldur’s Gate! Perhaps we can leave our new friend at the entrance to the sewers, just out of smelling range of course, so that you might return sooner? I can leave an arrow on the wall to direct you towards whatever path we take so you might rejoin us post haste.”
"Try to be quick about it Rah'zer, we need you back here to whip some sense into these cultists." Damian says as he accepts the keys from the harengon. "Let's proceed slowly now until Rah'zer's back." He turns and says to the others, motioning for Rhogarr to continue.
Ankita looks Rah'zher in the eyes. "Be careful, come back fast." She then turns to the others, "shall we continue through the door back there," pointing to the door past the pillars, "or down past the Iron man there?"
Rhogarr is going to offer guidance to Rah'zer before he leaves. "What a shame to see a good patriar family fallen so low. Master Jhasso, you should give consideration to the ways you could best preserve what little lasts of your family's fortune. And Rah'zer, Tyr be with you. May the light of Justice guide your steps and Chaos be crushed underfoot as you go and return. We will see you soon."
He turns to Ankita.
"Lady Ankita, I vote that we continue through the door and come back if there's nothing interesting that way. But I am flexible."
”We have followed behind Rhogarr’s shield thus far. I say we continue as such.” Samuel will follow Rhogarr whichever direction they decide to go. Before venturing past the door (or down the hall) he uses Prestidigitation to scrawl a bright neon pink arrow on the wall of the chamber at eye level pointing the direction the group decides to travel so that Rah’zher might follow.
All - As you approach the door, you all smell something putrid in the air like rotting eggs.
Rah'zher - You escort Klim upstairs, stopping to rest a few times before you manage to make it to the bathhouse. He cleans himself in the bath before grabbing a robe to cover himself with. You two head out into the Baldurian streets to find a Flaming Fist mercenary. As you're walking along, a carriage suddenly comes to a quick halt in front of you. A thin man with a top hat climbs down from the driver's seat and opens the door to the carriage. He removes his hat and sticks his head inside, conversing with someone. It is dark inside the carriage, but you can just make out the form of some ostentatiously dressed overweight person sitting inside. The driver nods repeatedly then turns and approaches you with hat in hand. The thin man's hair is greased back and has a very thin mustache on his lip, "Excuse me, my master has taken interest in you." Behind the man you can see his master appears to be an older human man with a thin combover. His glassy eyes stare at you intently from the folds of his flesh as his driver speaks with you, "He would like to purchase the man in the white robe-" The man in the carriage makes a soft noise and the driver says, "Ah, excuse me." He returns to the carriage and you see him nodding profusely once more. Klim seems barely present at this point, he stands nearby with a faraway look upon his face, waiting for you to continue walking. The driver returns and says, "My apologies, it seems he is interested in purchasing you, the white rabbit-man."
"Bloody bath house!" curses the harengon while staring at the clean white fur on the back of his hand. "Sorry, mate. You csn tell yiur Master, or whatever, that I ain't fer sale. I'm what yoy call and independent contractor. But I don't think youd be interested in my services, my rates are commensurate with the quality of my work: very upmarket."
Rah'zher - The driver frowns and says, "One second please sir." More nodding by the driver and soft noises from inside the carriage, then the driver returns, "My master is very well equipped to meet your... upmarket price sir. And... If I may be so bold... Speaking from experience sir, I assure you that you will find living in the care of Master Durinbold to be very much preferable to whatever your current living situation might be."
"I dunno, my last engagement was pretty hoity-toity. I was practically drowning in Eau de toilette." The long-eared seafarer muses. "What sorta work did ye have in mind, then?"
Rah'zher - The driver smiles and says, "You misunderstand me sir. Master Durinbold is not offering you employment, but a life of luxury in exchange for your... companionship. Master Durinbold is prepared to offer you five thousand gold-" At this point an angry dwarven man pushing a handcart calls out, "Oi, move yer damned carriage ye sheep buggerin' fop! Yer blockin' the whole damned street!"
Damian -
Watching the man for a bit, you get the feeling it is not an act, but the combined stress of his family's troubles and being tortured for a couple of days bringing him to his breaking point.
"Should we get this guy out of here?" Rah'zher asks the group, struggling to hold up the injured man.
Damian turns away and mutters something unhearable before turning to the others again. "We should get going, the sooner we're up from these stinking sewers the better." He says and motions for Rhogarr to continue.

Reposting from post #435 so it doesn't get buried:
All - As you approach the door, you all smell something putrid in the air like rotting eggs.
Does it smell of more sewage, rotten flesh, or something else?
