"We need him alive I believe." She informs the others. "Can someone tie him up htough, and make sure he cannot use his magic?" Grzak feels himself regaining control over his muscles. That was not a pleasant experience for him at all. He sees Glasstaff on the ground and it takes a great amount of self control to not run him through where he lays. Instead he walks over and wipes the blood off his sword on the fallen wizard’s garments and then sheaths it. He retrieves his rope and begins to bind him. He will be sure that he is securely gagged as well. Wizard’s can be wily, if given the opportunity, he thinks to himself.
”Do we want to tie him to a piece of furniture and come back for him or do you want me to carry him like another backpack?” Grzak gruffly asks with no small amount of annoyance in his voice.
Grzak decides to bind Glasstaff’s hands and feet together in front of him with a loop in the rope to carry him like a satchel rather than hoist him over his shoulder risking further injury to Glasstaff on one of his javelins or holstered great axe. This will also give him the ability to set him down in a hurry, should the need arise, and allow him to carry his new sword in his free hand at all times.
While he is affixing a gag and before he tests his knotwork, he will search Glasstaff for items that could be troublesome, I.e. jewelry, wands, components, etc. and pass them to Alarion. Likewise, anything that will lighten his load, I.e coin pouch, spell book, scrolls, etc. will be passed to Alarion as well.
”Search the room.”Grzak says with a tone of exasperation and maybe more angrily than he intended. He sees Katherine perusing the desk but the others seem to be just standing around.
He finishes his search and inspects his knots. His sailor background has given him proficiency in choosing the perfect knot for nearly all circumstances. Once he is satisfied with his handiwork, he rises, unsheathes his sword in one hand and with the other hand test lifts the “dead weight” a few times.

"Calm yourself Grzak." Gabriel says as he heads over to the chest at the foot of glass staffs bed. Not that he is good at it but he will search it for traps, after casting guidance.
Grzak doesn't locate any items on the mage's body, and easily ties him up. At the chest, Gabriel finds no traps, nor even a lock. Kathrine, at the desk, finds assorted papers and a few tomes, some alchemy supplies, and a letter:
Lord Albrek,
My spies in Neverwinter tell me that strangers are due to arrive in Phandalin. They could be working for the dwarves. Capture them if you can, kill them if you must, but don’t allow them to upset our plans. See that any dwarven maps in their possession are delivered to me with haste. I’m counting on you, Iarno. Don’t disappoint me.
Tapping the letter with a fingertip, Kathrine considers things. "I have a feeling Sildar will want to see this." She informs the others. "I think we may wish to wait to check out the rest of this place until after we get this wizard backk to the authorities in town." She glances over to the others. "We'll have to come back to deal with the underlings, but he is their leader, so this will demoralize them greatly. Plus I don't think we can chance his escaping."
“Do you think our green-eyed friend in the cavern is going to give us trouble? He gave us the chest in exchange for some people in a dead room up this way somewhere. Maybe through that other door in the room with the barrels and crates?”
Grzak is anxious to get moving. Hauling an unconscious wizard as a satchel will be easier than carrying a struggling one.
Inside the chest is 180 sp, 130 gp, and a silk pouch containing five carnelians, two peridots, and a pearl. It also contains 2 scrolls with shining blue ink forming arcane symbols.
"Found some gold and some gems here. We can split it up latter. Also found some scrolls. Here Alarion," Gabriel hands him the scrolls, "hopefully you can use them."
Gabriel takes a moment to think over Katherine's words. "I agree that is the best course of action, but it would allow our enemy time to reinforce these halls. With luck they may flee on their own accord."
"Oh, and here, Alarion, take this staff as well." Kathrine says, handing over the glass staff she took from the wizard. "Shall we take this prisoner of ours back to Sildar, and see if he can take care of him while we come back to clear this place out?" She is hoping that the thugs clear out in the meantime, and simply leave the area, solving the town's problem and leaving them free from having to possibly fight the redbrands.
“I think he meant, wake Sildar. It is still the middle of the night.”Grzak mentions, trying to be helpful. “Maybe we can still get back here pre-dawn and clean out this rat’s nest before the scum have rubbed the sleep from their eyes.”
"Let's hurry then, I think your right Grzak. I would rather face a disorganized enemy then a prepared one. Tempus forbid they all march on us at once, that would get.. bloody...." a little excitement creeps into Gabriel's voice. "We might need to deal with our one eyed..friend... when we leave. Doubt he will like we are taking his dinner." Gabriel's grabs his gear, up and casts light on his shield. No more wandering in the dark around the one eyed thing.
Kathrine follows as they exit the way they came in. As they pass the area they met the strange creature who liked dead things, she would pause and reassure them that she will make sure to talk with those in the village on its behalf.
The party slips out the tunnel by the Alderleaf farm and makes their way back into Phandalin proper. They return to the inn and Alarion goes upstairs to wake Sildar. The aging warrior makes his way down to the common room, rubbing his eyes. "The elf said you needed to speak with me immediately?"

(Woops sorry)
"I say we take him. He might very well have a way of getting free, or maybe a familiar about."

Alarion takes the items. "Yes, that seems a good course of action. We'll have to wake him, though."
"Wake him?" Kathrine says with a frown. "Can't we just carry him out the way we came in and get him to Sildar, prior to waking him?"
“I think he meant, wake Sildar. It is still the middle of the night.” Grzak mentions, trying to be helpful. “Maybe we can still get back here pre-dawn and clean out this rat’s nest before the scum have rubbed the sleep from their eyes.”

Barring any objections, Grzak will lead the way. Retracing their steps back through the cavern and back to town to find Sildar.
