"Yes, we brought you the leader of the Red Brands." Kathrine says, gesturing to the unconscious prisoner. "He was using that... and going by the name Glassstaff" She points to the glass staff that their wizard now has. "We also found this..." She offers the letter to Sildar, the one she found on the desk.
Sildar takes the letter, but then he sees the prisoner. "Iarno?" he says incredulously. You remember that this man matches the description of the man Sildar asked you to keep an eye out for.
"There is another matter to discuss." Kathrine says, before Sildar can move away. "There is a creature in the old manor, one that wishes only to be left in peace and to be given any dead creatures the village finds. I was thinking the butcher, or the hunters, could simply bring it the remains of whatever they have,, after getting what they need from the carcus of course." She shrugs. "Seems like a win win to me, as the village has a great way to dispose of the bones and unwanted parts, while this creature is kept content and willing to aid the village when needed."
"A generous gift. Please forgive me but I am confused. How is the manor yours to give?" Gabriel asks. "Building a home for the creature is a nice gesture, but we have had one brief conversation with the creature, and know nothing about it. How do we know it's a honorable being? Please be cautious Sildar, build the home far away from town, and keep a watch on it. I don't trust it to simple eat scraps the hunters give it. Torm grant I am wrong."
"I agree caution is warranted. As for the manor, it has been abandoned for centuries, though it is still in fair condition. The town does not have ownership of it, and no one can deny having it reoccupied, especially by adventurers, would help Phandalin's growth and safety."
"We must believe in taking the creature on its word, until it proves to be untrustworthy." Kathrine says, frowning. "It has agreed to take care of the dead things the village has, and that seems good enough to me. Until it does something to show it is not worthy of trust, then I say trust should be given." She looks to Sildar. "Keep an eye on it if you wish, but please do nothing untward to the creature, as it has done nothing to warrant such."
"We should return to the old manor, as we did not fully clear out the bandits from there." She gestures to the unconscious wizard. "We found him and thought it best to bring him back straight off. We will need to return to make sure the rest of the redbrands have left or get them to give themselves up."
Grzak muses as the party walks back to the cave entrance to the manor.
”Having a place to call home would be different. Might be nice to keep that one-eyed creature around to guard the back entrance.” He snorts at the thought.
"Hello Narc..." Kathrine says as she walks up to the crevace and looks around. "I have news from the town..." She waits for the creature to come out so she can speak to it. "They agreed with my idea, that they will bring you the bones and dead things they wish to give as tribute to you, and will set you up with a place of your own to live. I would like to suggest you simply stay here, as this seems to be your home already, and this place was gifted to me and my companions anyway. Will that work for you?"
"Ok, let's clear the area then." Kathrine says with a nod to the others. She would move to the nearest door they have not checked out yet and look to make sure the others are with her, then open the door.

"Yes, but please read the letter." Kathrine says, gesturing to it. "it seems your friend may not have been lost."
"Or person you thought was your friend is lost, replaces by this man." Gabriel shakes his head in disgust.
Grzak finally sets his prisoner package down. Forgetting that he had been holding him suspended the entire time.
”Where do you want him? We should get back there.”

Sildar's eyes scan the parchment. "Oh, my," the warrior says. "Just leave him there. I need to send some letters."
"There is another matter to discuss." Kathrine says, before Sildar can move away. "I agree. I'll talk to the town leaders, and I believe we'll build a home for this creature. The manor is yours, if you can clear and rebuild it."
"Much appreciated." Kathrine says, a bit surprised at the gift. Her mind starts to spin with what to do with the place.
"A generous gift. Please forgive me but I am confused. How is the manor yours to give?" Gabriel asks. The party arrives back at the manor, where Narc is still waiting in the cavern.
(Sorry I didn't get a post in. My life seems to be clearing somewhat, so I should be more active.)
"Not a bad idea Grzak, also lets us keep a eye on it." Gabriel agrees.
Back at the manor. Gabriel draws his sword, and cast light on it. "Time to clear out these red brands."
"Hello Narc..." Kathrine says as she walks up to the crevace and looks around. "I have news from the town..." She waits for the creature to come out so she can speak to it. (I'm sorry, I'm being really bad about missing this one for some reason. If I don't respond timely, somebody message.)
Narc nods, seemingly agreeing with Kathrine's offer. It wanders off, mumbling.
"Ok, let's clear the area then." Kathrine says with a nod to the others. She would move to the nearest door they have not checked out yet and look to make sure the others are with her, then open the door.
Grzak willingly enters the next chamber first. He scopes out the next room before waving the others to follow him in.

With sword drawn Gabriel follows.
