"Guess they didn't clear out with their master removed." Kathrine says, clearly disappointed in that fact. She nods to the door with the snoring sounds. "Let's go there first, and see if we can catch them still sleeping." She moves to the door and readies to open it as soon as the others are ready to rush inside.
Gabriel gets ready at the door. "Speed more then stealth I think my friends. Let's bust in and smack a few heads." Pointedly Gabriel turns his long sword in his hands so he will strike with the flat of the blade, hoepfuly not killing, but several pounds of metal cracking your skull can still be very lethal.
Grzak clenches the long sword in both hands and is ready to burst into the room. He plans to make a bee line to the biggest baddie on the other side and beat the fight out of them before they've rubbed the sleep out of their eyes.
The group charges in, pushing the door open and accidentally hitting one of the thugs, who hits the wall and stands there, dazed. There are 3 other thugs sitting around a table passed out, half-full mugs of mead and playing cards in front of them. In the corner, two bugbears slowly stand up, apparently having been sleeping.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Before entering Kathrine would have activated her peace bond for Grzak and Gabriel. They can add 1d4 to any attack, ability check, or save for the next ten minutes.
Kathrine steps into the doorway after the others rush inside. "Lay down your weapons now and no one gets hurt. We've already captured Glasstaff and he is in the town prison even as we speak."
Persuasion: 12 (subtract if need to use intimidation instead.)
One bugbear sits back down, avoiding the point of Gabriel's sword. The other merely snarls back at Grzak. Kathrine's words seemingly go unnoticed by all but the thug who was hit by the door, who raises his hands in surrender.
Grzak’s growl catches in his throat, coming off more like a squeak. Actions (or threat of actions) speak louder than words, so Grzak rotates the blade 90 degrees and places the blade point on the bugbear’s chest, ready to run him through should he make a threatening move.
Ready Attack: 14 Damage: 13 should the bugbear choose to fight.
"Let's try that again..." Kathrine says, glancing around. She smiles at the bandit near the door, who has his hands up in surrender. "You have the right idea at least." She nods to the bugbear. "Now convince him to do the same..." She eyes the bugbear, with the sword tip pressing into his chest. "We don't want to have to kill you all, so please just give up now." She glances over her shoulder, then lowers her voice a bit. "The creature from the ravine though would like us to kill you all, just so you know, as they wouldn't mind something to eat I am sure." She raises an eyebrow for the bugbear, as well as anyone else still looking hostile. "What is it going to be?"
(Do you want us to roll initiative, did the human bandit get hit or was that low enough to miss, what was the fallout of the above posts? Seems like we need more information to move forward...)
(Yeah, you're right. Sorry for the lack of info and delayed response. The past couple weeks have been annoyingly up and down, so I think I'll be good to move forward with campaigns, then something keeps me super busy for a bit. Hopefully, it's evening out. I promise I'll try to be better.)
The bandit crumples, bleeding and unconscious but barely alive, to the floor. The bugbear shouts in triumph and prepares to swing again.
You come to two doors, one to each side. Behind one you can hear load snoring, nothing behind the other.

Gabriel rushes over to the bugbear. Seeing them starting stand he points his sword at them. "Do not get up." He states flatly his voice cold.

The bandit does as ordered. The bugbear seems to comply, then suddenly swings and strikes the bandit.Attack: 19 Damage: 10
Not sure why the original roll changed. Either way it was a DM roll, so ignore the potential manipulation warning.

Kathrine's initiative is 9.
Yes! Forgot about that, thanks for the reminder.
Grzak's stab leaves a bleeding gash in the bugbear, but it still stands.
Bugbear:9
Ok! Initiative order is Grzak, Gabriel, Bugbear, Alarion(rolled in game log), Kathrine. Grzak is up!
