Matthias, fairly impatient, would sigh and mutter. "Let's try this again... Faloniir on three. One. Two. Three!" Matthias would quickly give a stern kick to the door like the previous time with the elf's help.
As Matthias begins counting down Faloniir hears Edrik and turns to him, "Hmm? Oh, thanks." He takes the tools and hurriedly turns back to kick the door, but his kick lands a full second after Matthias' kick, "That's ok m'lord, wouldn't want you to scuff those boots anyhow. Edrik has loaned me the tools necessary to open this door, step aside please." Faloniir will then pick the lock, "Hmm, it seems you may have bent the mechanism Savvy. That's ok, I can still open it. There." He then stands and hands Edrik back his Thieves' Tools.
Edrik's thieves' tools in the hands of Faloniir prove successful once again. The lock mechanism clicks open. Out of the cell scurries a pseudodragon that emits a series of warning hisses to each party member. Relieved to be freed, the creature is also making an instinctive effort to protect itself from six individuals it does not know.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Barkas steps forward and attempts to calm the pseudo dragon, offering it a ration and approaching it like he would any creature in the woods, speaking in low tones, reaching out to it with his mind. “My name is Barkas, what is yours little fella?”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Matthias would grunt upon seeing the door did not budge. He'd look to Faloniir after his comment and shrug. "These lich make their doors pretty damned durable if you'd ask me. Must be compensating for their brittle creations. And also, I wanted to give you some kind of consolation challenge seeing I'm up two-zip."
He'd smile and crack his neck as Faloniir fiddled with the lock until it popped open. Matthias, lowers his bow to not appear as a threat to the pseudodragon, but keeps an arrow at the ready. The noble recalled a hooded figure messing with the psuedodragon in his thoughts and wondered if it was still there.
"You alone in there?" He'd ask the dragon.
(Also, Matthias never gave his full name to anyone. He just gave his family name of 'Saville' lol)
Faloniir will smirk at Matthias, "Oh, we're counting fearsome disembodied hands in our little wager? I guess we must compensate where we can... Ok, two to zero it is friend." He will then clap Matthias on his shoulder and turn to watch Barkas and the Pseudodragon.
"Disembodied hands are capable of many things. I'm sure if I threw a hand or two at you, you'd be in for the fight of your life. Ahhhhhh~ Though in all honesty I'm going to fancy the dinner I'm having on you, maybe share a morsel with Barkas' new friend over there. Is it alright Barkas?" He'd ask the dwarf.
Barkas thinks back to the pseudo dragon “Nice to meet you Elonast. Stay with me, we will help you, free you from this place. I will protect you with every ounce of strength I have. We will help you take revenge on the one who put you in here. If you know anything about this place or anything that would help us, please tell me.” He motions for the creature to come sit on his shoulder if it would, he continues feeding it, rubs its back and scratches it under the chin if it allows.
He says to everyone else “It’s alright, his name is Elonast.”

Barkas is instantly taken with the creature and his anger toward the Lich and its minions grows. He shoots back the image that the creature sent earlier and says “We will hurt the lady in black robes, we will get revenge for you and get you out of here. Have you seen a spell book (sends an image of one of these) of one named Zaldara? We need to find it and take it. Do you know where it is, have you seen it?”

"He's sending me an image, a wooden chest, on the floor, between two pillars. I think he can help us find it!" Barkas looks at Elonast with a huge grin on his face, petting him and gushing with affection toward the beast.

"Well isn't he the sweetest!" Eldeth says. "I don't think any of these cells are going to be large enough to need pillars, we probably don't need to search the rest of these cells."
Matthias would sneak around as the group is speaking with Elonast and scamper back to Cell C to the body of the tiefling. With a shortsword in his left hand, he'd quickly remove the silver chain of Asmodeus and stash it in his pocket. He'd immediately back-out, keeping an eye on the body and keeping what this tiefling had to have looked like when it was alive for future reference.

The tiny dragon ceases its display of hostility and locks eyes with Barkas. One word softly echoes through the druid's mind. Elonast.

Elonast emits a soft cooing sound and responds to Barkas with a telepathic image: a sturdy wooden chest sitting on the floor between two pillars.

Barkas's grin is met with a few more telepathic images sent by Elonast:
Faloniir will say to Barkas, "Excellent work friend, we should continue onward and find this place."
Is there anything else in this hallway other than the five doors?
"Well isn't he the sweetest!" Eldeth says. "I don't think any of these cells are going to be large enough to need pillars, we probably don't need to search the rest of these cells."
