"Good thinking Rawlings, don't know how to communicate with it but we could just try and talk to it I guess." Sarya says to Rawlings and then turns to the tiny dragon. "Hi there, thanks for warning us about this Rot lady. Any idea were she would keep her spell book? Does she have a vault down here perhaps?" She asks the pseudodragon, giving it som more meat.
The tiny dragon devours Sarya's offering and, seemingly in response to the questions it has been asked, telepathically sends her an image of a chest sitting on the floor between two stone pillars. Where this room might be, or how one might access it, is not in any way presented.
"Okay, so we're looking for a room with a chest sitting on the floor between two stone pillars. Shouldn't be too hard to find right?" Sarya says. "Do you want to come along you little cutie." She says smiling to the pseudodragon and if allowed to she pets it, offering it to hop up on her shoulder should it accept. "So the only way forward is through those tunnels leading away from the cave we came through then?" She says and turns to the others.
(Backfilling on a few items I overlooked. My apologies, Apophis!)
Carlos utilizes his ability to detect magic to ensure nothing is being overlooked within the dungeon area. After a minute or so, he's confident that everything is what it seems to be in this part of the lich's cave.
After snapping up the food offered by Harq and Sarya, the pseudodragon makes its way over to Carlos to inspect the dried fruit. It nibbles a bit but seems, generally, uninterested in the offering. The creature does, however, give heed to the cleric's questions by showering him with a series of telepathic images:
“If everyone is done fawning over the new pet, shall we head back and try one of the tunnels? We do have a mission to find this chest.” Rawlings looks impatient and is ready to head out the door. “Unless you think he can tell us which tunnel to take, now that would actually be helpful.”
Sarya looks up at Rawlings and smiles. "Yeah, you're right, let's move on before this rotten ***** finds out she's being tricked."She says and motions for Carlos and Thoradin to take point going back to the cavern and taking one of the tunnels to the soutwest. Stealth: 14 Perception: 22
Carlos laughs nervously as image after image of undead monsters appear in his mind. " So there are ghosts, ghouls and other skeletons? What joyful hosts we have! If I know we get such a warm reception, I would have prepared a barrel of holy water before we enter this rotten hole" And he sighs. Because it's obvious that they don't have time and resources to make holy water now.
@The pseudodragon
Carlos follows Sarya with others. On their way, he pets the little dragon. " We need a proper name for this little fellow. Calling him or her only cutie is a bit rude. By the way… people usually reach the goal after going through doors and corridors. That means… My friend, you should know how to get the room with the chest and two pillars. Or at least someone took you there before. "
Exiting the dungeon area and passing through the area with the dispatched skeletons, the party climbs the stairs and now looks upon two passageways that lead farther westward. A voice from the darkness whispers with the dry rattle of death and malice. “By mistake or by foolishness, you have come too far. Your soul will be used to feed my endlessness.”
The voice elicits an immediate response from the pseudodragon (which has followed the party on wing). The creature hisses angrily and, once again, all of the party members receive the telepathic image of the cruel-faced woman.
For Carlos
The pseudodragon flies very near Carlos and sends him an image of a ghost-like creature near the chest between two pillars.
"I thought the troops were to be keeping her busy?" Harq says, clearly a bit worried. He then nods to Duncan as the owl flies westward towards to scout out ((11)) the passageways, not willing to make the same mistake as when the first entered ((he then reports to the group what he sees of course)). He then looks over at the dragon and says, "Stay close little guy."
Duncan makes a quick clockwise flight through the two connected passageways that lie ahead. The southernmost room is filled with pink crystals that extend from the walls and ceilings. The northern room is very damp and filled with stalactites; water drops fall rapidly from each of them.
"Okay Carlos, stalactites or pink crystals, what's it gonna be?" Sarya says to the priest and ushers him on to choose their path to the stairs ahead. "And that voice Harq, if it was that rotting ***** she would just come out and smack us around right? I'll bet she's still occupied with our Harper allies." She adds to the gnome.
Purple crystals in the dungeon, pink crystals in the cavern… Rawlings tries to think if she can recall anything about it. If she has run into anything of this sort before.
(I’m assuming history check? If arcana check, I have +1 for both so it wouldn’t be any different)
" No worries. If the bony hag has enough time to tear our soul apart. She already did it. "
@Sarya
Carlos passes his hand across his chin, thinking. " I prefer the northern room. I have heard about stalactites, but know nothing about pink crystals. But I want to listen to the others before going forward. " The cleric turns his eyes to Rawlings and Harq. " Do you guys know something about pink or purple crystals?"
“I have no recollection of pink or purple crystals, I’m good with going through the North room. Either way, we need to get moving.” Rawlings takes a look around while waiting for the others to get the same urgency.

Thoradin leads the group into the northern room, where the floor is extremely wet and slippery. Cautiously you walk as the water drips upon you from the dozens of stalactites that hang overhead. The pseudodragon flies ahead of the group, which turns out to be a very fortunate turn of events. For as the tiny dragon flies through the narrow portion of the cave, one of the stalactites attempts, unsuccessfully, to attack it. Thoradin, Carlos, and Sarya have the only view of the near miss, which looked like a dark gelatinous arm reaching out from the stalactite in an attempt to grab the pseudodragon (which is now hissing angrily but has landed safely upon the stairs leading up to another sturdy door).
The stalactite--if indeed that is what it is--remains motionless and the arm that reached out from it has disappeared. The ceiling in this room is approximately 15' high, but the stalactite in question hangs down and comes within 8' of the floor.
Players may act in any order.

"Yuck, what was that?" Sarya says and places her hex on the nasty stalactite before sending a beam of fiery crackling force from her ruby ring towards it. Eldritch blast: 12 Force: 2 + Necrotic: 2 + Fire: 2 She then ducks back into cover from the stalactite. Extra crit damage: 1 + 5
Thoradin's eyes narrowed as he watched something try to grab the creature. "Some kind of... ooze? Stay back and lets see if we can kill it from range." He decided against attacking it and put his shield up, ready to dodge any strikes.

" What a place! Even the ceiling is trying to kill people! Leave him alone! He is our dragon now!" Carlos scowls at the stalactite. He raises his holy symbol. An ominous sound wave shakes the air around the monster, and starts to eat its body with necrotic energy.

Succeed on a Wisdom saving throw 14 or take 1( or 11. If it's injured ) necrotic damage
Rawlings can’t see what is going on from her angle, “What is the holdup? I thought we were moving, you all realize we have a short time on this right?”

These crystals, whatever their origin or purpose, are wholly foreign to Rawlings.
