The crossbowman doesn't reply to Garrin's persistent knocking.
Keashirryl, you take careful stock of the room. This room appears to be a large storage cellar, exactly the sort of thing one might expect to find beneath an old manor. The Redbrands must have wanted to keep their base of operations hidden, so other than the barrels filled with fresh provisions, nothing in this room gives away their presence. The barrels contain salted pork and beef, flour, sugar, apples, and ale. Moving barrels around to thoroughly search them doesn't reveal anything unusual.
The cistern is another matter. This rectangular reservoir is clean and filled with cold, fresh water. It is 10 feet deep with a rim 2 feet higher than the surrounding floor (so that the bottom of the cistern is 8 feet below the floor). Drain pipes the must lead from the roof of the old manor above fill the cistern with water. You spot a rope hanging down from the inside of the rim. Pulling it up reveals a water-proof satchel hidden inside the cistern. This satchel includes 50gp and a set of ordinary travel clothing. It also holds two potions. One, you recognize as a potion of healing. The other is more exotic. It appears to be an empty bottle, but it feels as though there is liquid sloshing around inside.
The other secret door is still ajar where the fleeing Redbrand pushed it open. It leads into a wide hallway decorated with marble pillars. There is no immediate sign of the Redbrand and he doesn't seem to be returning with help as he promised his allies.
The last door, to the east, leads to a staircase up to the ruins of the old manor above.

Sensing the hesitation from his new "friend", Droknin tries to break the ice. "What about I start the conversation?" Says Droknin extending his paw. "Name's is Droknin. Keashirryl, finishing inspecting the room, joins the others talking to the Redbrand. She hands the weird potion bottle to Garrin. "You might want to take a look at this."
To Kemp, she answers: "I don't mind if he stays. No quick way of getting him out comes to mind, and T'laren is right. Better keep moving."
Then, she takes the cloak the last fleeing man just dropped and fastens it above her armour. It is not an elaborate disguise, but it may confuse some people in the battle for a moment, she muses.
"I am not against heading towards the caverns. It depends on what our priorities are," she says, pulling her braid from under the cloak and adjusting some folds around her neck. "Are you eager to meet Glasstaff first, or rather try to get the prisoners out of the way - set them free, I mean? I don't want them to run into the aberration, though; he probably isn't in a jolly mood. And if I were a wizard with questionable morals, I would keep any keys on my person. "
Cassius gives a half hearted shrug before he moves towards the area beyond the room, gripping his staff tightly. "True enough. I think before we do anything else that perhaps we should free any being held captive in this place. Who knows what has been done to them."
"Rescue the prisoners it is then." Droknin starts to head towards the door where the other Redbrand left the party early.

Droknin leads the way out the northern secret door.
Thick dust covers the flagstones of this somber hallway. The walls are decorated with faux columns every ten feet, and the double doors at the west end of the hall are sheathed in copper plate, now green with age. A relief carving of a mournful angel graces the doors.
Now that the Redbrand warned you about the pit trap, you notice that all the footprints in the dust of this hall skirt closely to the walls and avoid the middle of the hallway. Following these paths, you are able to avoid the trap.
The copper plated doors push open with ease and close again on well-designed hinges. This next room looks to be a burial chamber for the old Tresendar estate. Three large stone sarcophagi stand within this dusty crypt, and propped up against each sarcophagus is a human skeleton clad in bits of rusty mail. False columns along the walls are carved in the image of spreading oak trees. In addition to the large double doors you came in through, there are single doors leading to the north and to the northeast.
