The last thing Droknin remembers is the sight of a morningstar making its way to his face, then he is back up, thanks for Keashirryl timely healing powers. The Leonin roars in anger (BA Rage). "Enough of this silly business." He swings Mlinzi on the injured Bugbear.

Cassius will move to continue his attacks on the closest of the Bugbears.

Garrin pops around the corner and unleashes a devastating Eldrich Blast against 'Sildar'.  The force of the blow opens up the round in his side again and he starts bleeding heavily, the blood an unusual blueish tint.

After Keashirryl's blessed healing, Droknin hops to his feet and promptly decapitates the glowing bugbear with one mighty swing of his doublesided scimitar.  As the body falls, the glow fades away and is extinguished.

The 'Sildar' creature growls in an unknown language and charges at T'laren.  One hand holding its side, its strikes out twice with the longsword in its other hand.

Attack: 18 Damage: 1

Attack: 10 Damage: 6

Cassius continues to fight with the lone remaining bugbear, but deals only a glancing blow.

T'laren curses, as his suspicion that 'Sildar' might be the wizard is shown false, but at least the injuries see to have been somewhat genuine.

He drops his bow and whips free one of his scimitars, slashing at the false impersonator.

If 'Sildar' still stands, he'll draw his other scimitar and attack twice more.

T'laren flashes his scimitars, digging deep to find the focus and skill to press the attack.  Yet the 'Sildar' creature is remarkably agile.  It evades most of T'laren's strikes, though one does land.  More blueish blood is sprayed and the creature seems to be losing the fight.

At the other end of the battle, the remaining bugbear roars at Cassius, "You puny ones killed Mosk!  That make me in charge now.  First order of business... half-orc kebabs for dinner!"  It then rears forward with its javelin, attempting to skewer Cassius like a piece of meat.  Attack: 24 Damage: 12

Garrin fires another eldritch blast at the 'sildar'

Attack: 18 Damage: 10 

Keashirryl reaches down, grabs Kemp by the arm, and tries to help him up while casting cure wounds .

"Come on. Since it would be a pain to explain it to the locals, I would largely appreciate if you didn't die," she scolds Cassius, staying put.

Healing: 10 

[Just for the record, who has the healing potion we bought at the windmill? I have a vague memory of Kea passing it on to Droknin's and T'laren's troup when they went out exploring the secret entrance, but I lost track.]

Droknin sees that the other Bugbear struck Cassius pretty good. It enrages the Leonin further. "Hey you!! New Boss!! It's between you and me!!" He moves north of Cassiu, and strikes the last Bugbear.

Mlinzi Attack1: 8 Damage: 8

Mlinzi Attack2 (BA): 25 Damage: 9

The brutal javelin thrust from the bugbear is enough to put Cassius on death's door, but for the timely healing from Keashirryl.  He regains consciousness with 10hp and Keashirryl helps him back to his feet.

Droknin moves to defend his ally and engages the last bugbear.  It evades his first slash, but that leaves it open to Droknin's backhand, which arcs up and slices open the bugbears chest and shoulder.  Nevertheless, the hulking goblinoid grins, spits blood, and continues to fight... though it must surely be near death.

Back in the hallway, Garrin once again connects with an Eldritch Blast.  Thin blue blood is dripping from the mouth and abdomen of this unknown creature, and it looks ready to collapse.  It roars, spraying blood all over T'laren as it charges forward again, attacking recklessly with the longsword.

T'laren takes the hits with a grunt and tries to return the favor.

One of T'laren's blades connects.  The fake Sildar roars again in its strange voice and raises its longsword overhead with both hands... but these is an awful ripping sound as the deep wound in its abdoment tears open wider, spilling blue-colored organs to the stone floor.  The eyes widen in surprise... then continue to widen as the face twists and contorts.  As the body falls to the ground, its color changes to match the blue of its blood and organs, and its limbs lengthen.  Its face becomes a featureless, alien mask.  The clothing and longsword remain, but the rest of the corpse is unrecognizable.

"What in the hells was that?!"

[Looks like we lost Cassius/DarthDrizzt.]

The half-orc monk plants his feet and then launches a flying tackle at the bugbear, trying to take him down off the bridge and into the crevasse. 

Cassius:  1

Bugbear:  17

Having just downed the monk last round, the bugbear fails to anticipate such a reckless attack from him.  Cassius grappled the bugbear and together they tumble off the bridge to the bottom, taking 8 bludgeoning damage.

The fall knocks the wind, but not the fight out of the bugbear.  Unable to wield his javelin at such close range and still grappled by Cassius, he tries to smash the monk with his free hand.  Attack: 19 Damage: 6

Cassius is subdued by the new assault and releases the bugbear.  The brute shakes him off and stands, looking around for the quickest route out of the pit.

Garrin will run up to sight of the bugbear and launch a butterfly bomb at him

Attack: 18 Damage: 10 

The fist sized clump of magical butterflies slams into the bugbears face from above.  Blood pours out of his nose and eyes as he falls over backwards in the bottom of the crevasse.

[We are out of initiative.]  

Cassius is unconscious at the bottom of the pit and both Droknin and T'laren are quite beaten up after this ordeal.

(ps: garrin does not have a healing potion, he has a potion of invisibility)
