When its clear he's not getting out of it, Garvey will let some of the gag between his teeth, but bites down on it to prevent it from being pulled tighter, looking up at Dornikal and vocalizing what are certainly curses.

Dornikal will tie it off tight enough he isn't going to be able to just spit it out, before turning and asking the other two again, just as pleasantly,
"Okay. So, again - how long have ye be out here, ye jump anyone and where are ye coming out of?"
He will make a comment to Dornikal, not loudly, but certainly audible to the captured. "You do remember, once we have them all together, my Goddess will let me cast a spell that will MAKE them tell the truth. So we will know if they lied and then Randy can do what he needs to do."
((Doh, I wrote a post about Randy's low roll, but apparently never posted it...))
There is a clatter of gravel down the slope behind Ulmwin and the elf, Randy manages to go prone in a crevice, and covered with his gathered shadows isn't spotted, but Essilar whirls about, bow up and arrow drawn as he scans the rocky face, moving to put himself between Ulmwin and the source of the noise.
"Saw wildcat tracks the other day... nasty beasts if they catch you with your back turned.", he confides in the bard.
"Bout a week, hunting and the like. Haven't jumped anyone, honest. I'm originally from up north, but been in Torfelna most recently, that's where I met the others... he's a good boy, shouldn't have gotten him mixed up in this.", Hank says quietly to Dornikal, eyes glancing to the halfling lad on the last bit.

Randy patiently waits for the elf to drop his guard and start on his way again before he gets up and starts to move, this time watching a little more closely for loose gravel. He listens to the elf's explanation and a slight smile crosses his face.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The elf seems confused, but when no wildcats or other dangers present themselves, he shrugs and moves to follow Ulmwin to the far side. Randy, glancing back towards the wagons, notes that there are multiple crossbows and a longbow trained on the elf's back.

Essilar easily follows Ulmwin upward, but Ulmwin arrives a bit ahead of him, so has a chance to speak briefly with Dornikal and Coljin before the elf reaches the top.

Ulmwin saunters up, still looking a bit too cheerful given the situation as he speaks quickly.
"Hey hey! Quite a right mess, huh? Help me with this one if it's necessary. I'd rather do it the easy way, but it's possible the charm will break once he gets up here. I told him to come up here and cooperate, but getting him to put down his weapons and get tied up might test the limits. Try and play it cool."
Ulmwin blurts out a quiet explanation as he reaches the top, followed shortly by an elven figure wearing a brown and green mottled cloak, carrying a longbow, with a shortsword slung at his side.
The elf's eyes flick across those of you up here, narrowing slightly as he shakes his head, before smiling a beaming grin. "So, now what?"
Coljin, Randy, Dornikal:
Slight changes to his posture and stance (based on your 15+ passive insights) let you know that he got up here with a more casual vibe, which was lost and he tried to hide it, while holding himself ready. With Ulmwin cluing Dornikal and Coljin in to the use of a spell, and Randy having observed it in action, you'd be able to deduce that the spell has broken, and that he's trying to play along.
Ulwmin:
You feel the spell you'd been holding concentration on unravel.

"My legs are a little wobbly from the climbing, thanks.", he says, and leans on a protruding rock behind him.
"Boss?", he makes a bit of a face, "I'm self employed, if that's what you mean. A guide to these parts. These three hired me to be their guide on a little nature excursion. You know, camping, hunting, fishing. The sort of things that city folk think they crave until they get out in the wilds. They've done pretty well though, rather took to it... mind telling me why you've tied up my clients?"

Ulmwin for his part, shrugs. He's not actually been privvy to what the trio down here said after all, so he doesn't know they all but confessed. Not that he doesn't have seen enough to not really believe this account.
Neither is he completely dismissing the possibility some of his friends got overzealous.
"Don't know - Is that what happened?" he asks his friendly duo first, before turning back toward the likely thief.
"I joined late, so I have little context I'm afraid. It is possible my ranger friend got a bit... Overzealous, I suppose. If it's a big misunderstanding you've my promise I'll get it all sorted out."
"For now, however, I really am honest I don't want anyone to get hurt, and my friends seem truly tense." he says, eyes briefly flashing to the top of the clearing. "Could you put down your weapons and come over here?"

Dornikal shrugs at Coljin,
"Give'm a chance on their own."
To Hank, just as quietly, Dornikal reassures,
"If ye really haven't hurt anyone aye think ye'll all come out okay. Specially the boy."

Randy is sticking fairly close behind Essilar for now, listening and watching.
Coljin is just staying quiet at the point unless Dornikal asks or needs something done.
He looks back and forth between everyone involved, looking a bit uneasy, or at least mildly confused.

Dornikal explains bluntly,
"Essilar, ye got a chance here. Come on now."
