Randy is taking the time to look the situation over.  (( How big of an area is involved with the spheres, and how big is the area the "fiend"  is in.  Randy is also going to try to guess as to exactly what kind of spell they're dealing with.))

Randy hasn't a clue as to the type of spell.

Dornikal would like to hit it again, harder if he can.

The spheres of effect are about 30ft radius, with an overlapping 20 ft between them, wherein the figure is rummaging through the books. Beyond concluding that it's some manner of warding, Randy isn't sure of its specifics.

Seeing Dornikal repelled - sort of - by the spheres, Tinker opts to take the scientific approach.  Moving towards the edge of the spheres, the artificer raises one hand and...  Punches it.  Though, their fist stops short of the sphere, and a shockwave carries onward.  "Perhaps magic can disrupt the effect, or pass through it.  If so, I can strike at the creature."
