"Ah! Sorry, I didn't realize! Afraid I can't quite teach you myself... I'm a bit of a hack and just got this fancy cloak to help me with it!" he admits, slowly drifting along to the ground with the girl. Initially he seemed worried she might suddenly tumble as the spell stopped, but upon realizing she was just slowly and safely dropping, it was just to keep up the conversation.
"So, with asking to be learned, would that mean you're a wizard? Or just hoping someone can show you the pointers?" he asks, considering that they did know a very powerful wizard that could maybe share a fly spell to be copied, but does not mention anything of it out loud yet. One part of it might be that he wasn't fully certain yet if they could trust this strange group, but mostly he wasn't just about to volunteer someone else without their knowledge and permission.
"There's probably at least one way we could give you a taste though, depending on how our friend's chat over there is going... Ah, sorry, I'm Ulmwin! No worries, I won't mention anything. Nor will I mention anything about pots, ladles, or anything else belonging in the kitchen!"
He finally lands as well, not wanting to keep rubbing in his flying to the girl. Although he did consider for a while just flying at "eye level" instead...

"You talk brave as always, but you are hurt, here." Coljin puts his hand on top of Dornikal's head and does some healing.
(Cure wounds at 2nd) 14
A warm green magical glow will heal up some of the bullette trauma.
He then asks, "You getting a tooth from that critter as a souvenir?" After Dorn is done, he will head back to the others and specifically head up to the obviously injured one.
"Good day, I am Coljin. I see you are a bit battered from the Hydra. I have some healing I can offer from the Goddess Meilikki, if you wish."
You get the sense that some of Brucho's jovial bluster is performative, he seemed to turn on a 'friendly guy you met at a tavern' persona fairly quickly after executing a plan that involved two bulettes and a hydra. From your experiences, you'd served alongside folks who use a similar approach, not even always intentionally, but as a way to diffuse potentially tense situations. You think it'd be a mistake on your part to underestimate him based on his loquacious greeting, but you don't get a sense that he has any malicious intent towards you and your friends, more that he's putting on a friendly face to better get a read on you without putting things on an aggressive footing. His smile widens when you casually relinquish any claim to the bounty.
The husband and wife pair exchange a glance and she smiles as she leaves her husband to the chatting and heads over to check out the downed hydra, being joined by Whoopsie and Boskin, who have both pushed their hoods back to reveal another human man who must be some relation to Brucho, perhaps slightly younger, and a tabaxi, feline features, but grey fur mussed and singed if not outright missing in a few places, with a milky eye. The human man is the one with the arm injury.
"Nah, no villages around here, but we got word of bulettes in the area from one of the outposts, and as you can see," he waves a hand at the upturned soil and vegetation, "they're rough on farms, even if they don't get into the livestock. Preventative, as it were. Doesn't hurt that their hide can make some fine armor either. You can detect fae and elementals? Don't have any jobs for them, but that's a handy trick. Hydra was a separate job, some University research."
"Not from around here, eh? Where you from, ...."
He leaves a pause for you to supply a name.
Evar doesn't turn from his inspection of the bulette, but cocks an ear in Dornikal's direction.
"Males. Only expected to bait one, but guess we got lucky."

((Ulmwin, you can give me an Arcana check about the spell she's using if you'd like.))
"Oh, that's okay! You don't seem a hack, unless your fancy cloak was letting you shoot off those blasts of whatever you were doing up there, looked like real magic to me!"
Her nose wrinkles a bit when he asks about her being a wizard.
"Sorta, I guess? There's some stuff I can just do, but that's stuff that others with my condition can too, but other stuff I learned from reading, I really like reading. Never went to any fancy wizard school though, just kinda taught myself, asked lots of questions of folks that know stuff."
"Good to meet you Ulmwin!", she blushes a deeper shade as the bard shares a few more curse words that her Mum would not approve of her learning.
Dornikal is feeling much better after Coljin sees to him (is Dornikal still on fire?).
The human who just approached turns to Coljin, "Less the hydra, and more I got too close to Whoopsie's wire when the hydra was thrashing. Boskin." He gestures to the tabaxi and himself when providing names. "If you're offering healing, I'll not turn it down!"
He rolls up the ragged sleeve, revealing a gash that starts near the point of his elbow and runs over the top of the forearm towards the thumb.
((Don't worry about it showing weird stuff, sometimes it rolls right, but displays nonsense. It isn't even showing me what you rolled here, but I'm not worried about it, 18 is spot on average for that die roll anyway.))

"Hah! Well, no, those were real enough," he nods. He briefly pauses, as if considering something on that fact, but not for long. His eyes widen slightly as the girl speaks, explaining... That sure sounds like what a wizard would do. But to be this young, casting spells, and being completely self-taught? If it was true, the girl was evidently very gifted, and the amazement clearly showed on his face for a few moments. It is something that keeps bouncing around in his mind, even if he presses on the conversation for now.
"I... See. I'm not a wizard myself, either, I'm just a bard. But I do agree that reading and knowledge is very important! I'm just the type of guy who prefers sharing stories directly, rather than diving my nose into books. Most of the time, that is. Maybe I can manage to share a few fun tidbits later."
"But for now, it seems the rest of the group is doing well, let's go catch up to them. I'm not as good as Coljin at the whole healing thing, but maybe I can help out with it."
From what he saw in use, with her only able to descend, and their conversation, he recognizes the spell she used as a levitation spell. He's struck by the amusing thought of such a spell being used to lift an enemy up into the air instead, though he's certain it would require much more powerful magics to have any hope of budging a creature as massive as the hydra.
"Oh, a bard!", she claps her hands excitedly, "We've these creatures to deal with, but I hope I can hear some of your stories! Yeah, we should head back."
She begins heading back in the direction of the downed hydra and bulette, unconsciously returning Ulmwin's courtesy of not flaunting his flight by not striding faster than his gnomish legs can keep up with.

"Hmm? What need happen with them? Ah, I suppose I don't know yet what you were all doing out here? It was such a strange sight, we weren't sure what to think or how to react at first..."
Randy answers Brucho. "Circle Vale, most recently." Randy elects NOT to mention the new dragonborn city at this juncture. Let them have a chance to get established before steering any adventurer types their way.
Randy nods. "Can't say the crossing was exactly fun. Had some run ins with blights and undead. Ran into some Orcs who were poisoning wells to set up ambushes. Ran into some of the nomadic tribes. Plus the overall difficulty of crossing the desert and savanna. It's not something to approach without some planning, that's for sure."

Dornikal looks better but still has some fairly deep wounds on his side. He also notices he is still sweating more than he should be.
"Oh, right. The fire."
He looks around at the strangers and decides he can handle some sweating for the moment.
He pushes himself up.
"Thanks lad! Ready for another hydra or two."
He then addresses the pair of strangers nearest him,
"Any chance ye'd be interested in discussing Dumathoin, Heart of the Mountain? Ye seem fairly tree-y, but....?"
Randy answers Brucho. "Circle Vale, most recently." Randy elects NOT to mention the new dragonborn city at this juncture. Let them have a chance to get established before steering any adventurer types their way.
The tracker, Evar and the tabaxi are nearest Dornikal.
"Nneat trick, good for hydraa.", the tabaxi murmurs, admiring the spectral flames.
"Discussing? Whatcha mean?", Evar says, his attention still on the bulette corpse, he seems to be taking rough measurements.
