Almost sensing the incoming power the vampire steps to the side, sending puffs of ash from the fallen cultists billowing up into the air. 

(Assuming my wolves are next)

They snap and snarl at the creatures within the flames but do not move any closer.  They dodge while awaiting their next command.

Sulfas its your turn.

Sulfas tilts his head at the scream in amidst the fire, "What a bunch of pansies, scare of fire. Come on! Eat my axe!" Sulfas charges into the fire full of vigor, bloodthirst and a laugh, reckless attacking with two strikes at B before jumping back out of the fire. 

Dex Save: 16 Take half damage from fire

You leap thru the flames it burns but your harden dragon scales provide a measure of protection for the fire. Without even stopping you swing your axe taking the head of the cultist clean off and continue on to the vampire spawn.

Bringing your axe down overhead you bury it in its shoulder causing it to sag down for a moment. With a great big smile you pull the axe free and try to dart back out of the flame, but not before the vampire swipes at you with its claws 

Attack: 17 Damage: 9

The claws rake down your back not causing you to snarl in some pain as you leap back thru the fire taking another 16(halved automatically from your resistance) (roll another save) in fire damage. 

The vampire spawn is enraged at being trapped and run towards you all jumping thru the flames after Sulfas. Dex save: 8 Damage: 25 howling in pain as it takes 2 more claw strikes at Sulfas

Attack: 12 Damage: 8

Attack: 22 Damage: 5

The first glancing off your scales but the second slips into a bit of flesh. 

Back to the top Gruno. Its your turn. 

Gruno will drop his crossbow and unsheathe one of his swords and attack the creature in front of him, catching the creature with a sneak attack when it glances over at Anvil. Once again a wispy shadow figure will coalesce and attack the spawn on Anvil.

(The two creatures in front of you and Anvil are the Dire wolves that Gaetana summoned, the only enemy left is in front of Sulfas)

(Oops, redo. I'll just keep the crossbow out and fire it at the creature then.)

Smoke curling off the vampire as it strikes at Sulfas you take aim and just as it recoils from its strike you pull the trigger and your bolt flies true striking it between the eyes dropping it to the floor unmoving.

Anvil waves his hand, letting the wall of fire disappear. He steps over and prods the vampire spawn with one of his armoured feet.

”They’re very aggressive but stoppable. But their attack first approach means we are unlikely to find any survivors.”

Once satisfied the vampire spawn isn’t going to get up, Anvil searches its body for any sign of maps, messages, keys or the like.

Perception: 23  

Gaetana gives one of her pups a pat as she walks past them into the room.  While Anvil is checking the main villain, she looks over at the others to see if there is possibly anything of note.

Once finished she says, "I've got these boys for an hour, lets see if we can find our charges - either dead or alive.  Sulfas, you are a little bit crazy, aren't you?  Nice job with the wall of fire, when that went up, I was 100% sure we had this." she looks at Anvil and gives him a wink,  "Shall we head down the right (SE) tunnel?"

 Gruno nods at Gaetana and decides to keep his crossbow out for the time being while quarters might be close. "Sounds good to me, I'm following."

Sulfas takes a moment to dust off the ash from his scales, "Let's go," Before he starts marches down the tunnel until he runs into something.

Anvil: You don't find anything on the remains of the vampire. 

Gaetana: The cultists dont have a lot on them either. They were each carrying a curved dagger and between the remains you find about 10 gp. 

Anvil finally takes a closer look at Gaetana's dire wolves. He looks from them to Gaetana and back.

"Are they real wolves that you summon or do you manifest energy so that they appear like wolves?" Anvil asks.

He then nods in agreement that she let them loose down the SE passage as they continue on their way. He does notice the slightly singed appearance of as he storms off down the same passage.

"Oh, they are just fey spirits in the form of wolves.  But they sure look real, don't they?  And let me assure you, their bite is real." Gaetana replies as they head down the passage.

Going down the hallway it turns and enters into a large circular room lined with bookshelves. Unfortunately the shelves are all empty and the room is covered in a fine coating of ash with little piles here and there. There appears to be another hallway down the wall a bit from where you entered. 

Anvil pushes the bookshelves away from the walls, checking to see if there are any concealed doors or hidden objects behind them.

Perception: 20  

Gaetana looks through the ash to see if she can find any footprints or tracks..

Gruno steps over and glances down the next hallway, checking to see that it is clear.
