Darwin laughs as the daggers sweep by him missing.
"Really!", he says with a sigh. "Not worth my time", he adds and moves away.
Noticing the winged kobold seemed to have shaken off Caper's Euphoria, he sends a blast from his well of power in that direction.
"Maybe you could stop that one?", he telepathically sends to Caper, pointing at the kobold in the middle of the room.
Darwin can't see it, but Caper simply shakes his head. He does hear a "Huff!" telepathically returned though.
"Ok, see what is ahead"
Special: Armor of Agathys - 10/10 Movement: 20ft East (this will result in Opportunity attacks for K1 and K6) Action: Eldritch Blast on Kobold (KW): 11+6=17, Damage: 5+4=9 [force] Bonus Action: Instruct Caper to scout
Caper Special: Recharge for Euphoria Breath: 2 (needed 5 or 6) Caper Movement: Remains stealthed, half speed into the dark part of the room (30ft east) Caper Action: Perception Check: 5+3=8 (Passive: 13)
Daggers lurch for Darwin as he steps away and they find purchase for a combined 8 piercing damage. Unfortunately for them, both Kobold immediately freeze to death as the magical armor kills them. Darwin's blast sunders the air around it as it streaks into the winged dragon. The impact breaks some strapping and one of the Kobold's wings droops to one side and he does not look happy about it.
Caper finds another breach on the bulkhead and from the other side he can here movement. Quite a lot of movement. Heading closer.
The winged Kobold launches a chromatic bolt of acid back in Darwin's direction and it impacts for 10 points of acid damage
The last unadorned Kobold takes a sling shot for Agnarr. The ammunition pings off his chest leaving a slight bruise but the big man does not seem to notice.
Then another Kobold scrabbles out of the breach Caper found and cries something in Draconic that Caper and Aoi understand as 'The master is coming!' he sees the scene in this space and quickly launches a sling shot at Aoi dealing 4 points of damage.
Hamish is up, k1 and k6 are dead. K5 has now appeared and immediately north and 10 feet east of k7.
Hamish feels his adrenaline heighten and repeats the arcane words that roll of his tongue with an electric crackle and tries to grasp the kobold once more.
((Shocking Grasp on K1 again, Critical hit for a total of 25, 11 lightning damage))
The shielded Kobold convulses and drops to a knee. His scales look scorched and marred, and blood leaks from his lowered snout, eyes beady and dull. The shield numbly drops from his hand clattering to the floor.
Then he surges up, spear driven two-handed towards Hamish and into his abdomen. He tears it back and rears at Ida, stabbing her in the shoulder. Ida takes 7, Hamish takes 11.
The shield wielding Kobold is clearly barely clinging to life but he refuses to fail his master so easily.
Aoi tries to dodge the sling shot, but doesn't move fast enough to completely avoid the projectile. "Master incoming!", he shouts to the others.
Aoi sees the shielded Kobold stab Hamish and Ida and starts to pull back an arrow to end him, but he quickly decides his arrows are better spent on targets further away who aren't already on death's door. He steps around Hamish and concentrates briefly before loosing an arrow at the winged Kobold.
(Move to the space S of Hamish, Target: Kw, To Hit: 21, Damage: 9 + 2 + 2 = 13)
The arrow strikes home and the winged Kobold is looking worse for wear but still standing.
Lightning licks from Agnarr's hammer to strike the spear wielding Kobold, causing a series of convulsions before collapse and Agnarr moves past the body, roaring a challenge. He closes on one of the few remaining Kobold's and swings, swatting the small creature aside like a rag doll to fall in a crumpled mass on the floor where it remains, motionless.
Then suddenly a large black draconic creatures erupts from the back of the space, flying low once it passes the breach. It roars a mighty roar before unleashing an acidic stream from east to west at Ida and Aoi.
Ida realizes that reasoning with the creature may be their only hope, as she is spinning from the damage she has taken. She also knows everyone is badly hurt and stalling could allow them to reason since common is being spoken. She reaches within the positive forces to heal herself enough to stand and fight (Lay on Hands +15 to HP).
"We mean you no harm, but we had to enter prepared to speak with you out of respect for your power. We were told the mighty arrows have a range that would have done too much damage if we had tried to make contact from outside. Please, allow us to speak."
The Dragon, its scales not the glossy slick black of a wyrmling but not the matte and faded black of a true adult, tilts its head in curiosity at Ida's words.
'You mortals wish to treat with the mighty Sharru-Ukin?' Its voice rumbles.
The winged dragon practically squawks in indignation, 'Master, destroy the foul creatures! Bring forth your glorious wrath and lay them to waste!' the words in Draconic pleading.
The Dragon contemplates his high sorcerer. 'You have killed my devotees, you have violated my private sanctity and my seneschal says I should destroy you. Worse yet, you bring another dragon into my home?' He switches his language to draconic, 'Show yourself tiny one, you cannot hide from me anyway.' This is clearly directed at Caper.
His voice returns to common, 'What is your purpose here? Do you seek to replace my devotees? To serve the mighty Sharru-Ukin in their place? Speak quickly, your lives are fleeting.'
Caper flies back to Darwin and curls around his neck as he becomes visible, he looks everywhere but at Sharru-Ukin.
"Let's leave before it eats me!", Caper sends to Darwin telepathically.
"No one is eating anyone else", Darwin replies, before replying to Sharru-Ukin.
"Mighty Sharru-Ukin, I apologise for intruding into your home in this manner. My friend Caper here is of course brave and fearsome, but I will keep him under control. In truth we sent in a sort of seneschal of our own, to see how your devotees would react. After they attacked it out of hand, we knew we had to prove our worth in order to seek an audience with you", he says bowing deeply after patting Caper on the head.
"In truth, your presence here is merely a boon to us, for we only wished to visit this ship as it previously belonged to my associate here. To be able to gaze upon your glory makes our task all the sweeter. And of course, we love what you've done with the place", he adds, motioning to Agnarr when mentioning the associate.
'You are right to marvel at my majesty but I am no tourist attraction, and nor is my lair.' Sharru-Ukin says dismissively and huffs, causing the party's loose clothing to flutter.
'I think I should listen to my Seneschal if you can be no use to me, after all, I still have my court wizard and I can make this last minion my champion.'
Peter is suddenly in Ida's ear "Impress him with the power you've been given."
"I believe we can easily be of use to you, and share many secrets to the power we have. I doubt even your high sorcerer could compete with the gifts we would be able to bestow." She smiles and bows her head slightly at the end of her sentence trying to convey respect. When doing so she grabs Hamish's hand, willing him some of the health remaining (Lay On Hands +5 HP to Hamish).
As Ida squeezes his hand and he feels the pulse and itch of healing energy, Hamish does something he's never done before: steps forward.
"I am the weaver of magic among us." He claps his hands together and intones in strange syllables. As he brings his hands apart, floating runes appear between them, twinkling with iridescent energy. He waits there for the dragon's next words.
"Not to disrespect your decision, but I'd be willing to bet that even our weakest mage could duel and win (she nods towards Agnarr's direction as she speaks) Which may be better in the confines of your home, if our best let his magic fly the ship could easily be destroyed."
Darwin steps up next to Hamish, "It is true, this does seem beneath you, great sorcerer", he says to his friend.
He turns to the dragon, "All this fighting does seem rather unnecessary. [spell]Suggestion;Surely a wise dragon such as yourself would retain the services of their sorcerer and help us achieve our goal, helping us to find what we need and ensure we go on our way safely and happily?[spell]", he says to Sharru-Ukin.
Darwin laughs as the daggers sweep by him missing.

Dexterity saving throws please
Ida and Aoi both react quickly and well but no one could have dodged the entirety of the spray. They both get splashed for 19 points of damage.
The Dragon lands and roars again before a inhumanly deep voice echoes through the chamber. 'Leave this place.' it commands.
Ida realizes that reasoning with the creature may be their only hope, as she is spinning from the damage she has taken. She also knows everyone is badly hurt and stalling could allow them to reason since common is being spoken. Deception: 7+6=13
As Darwin speaks, Ida reaches over and touches Aoi's shoulder gently, transferring as much of the force to her as she can without being noticed.
Cast: Cure Wounds + 6HP to Aoi
'You are right to marvel at my majesty but I am no tourist attraction, and nor is my lair.' Sharru-Ukin says dismissively and huffs, causing the party's loose clothing to flutter.
'I think I should listen to my Seneschal if you can be no use to me, after all, I still have my court wizard and I can make this last minion my champion.'
The winged Kobold nods vigorously in agreement.
Peter is suddenly in Ida's ear "Impress him with the power you've been given."

The Dragon's eyes narrow in suspicion and suspense.
'A bold claim, the blood of my kin runs through him.' He ponders a moment. 'Who is the greatest mage amongst you?' he asks.
The dragon looks amused by the small figure who steps forward.
'Prove it. Kill my sorcerer.' He says, his amusement clear in his voice.
'My lord!' the Kobold bawks in common, wide-eyed and panicking.
'Silence, worm.' he snarls at the wing-wearing Kobold. 'A duel of magic. If you fail me then you deserve the death that comes to you.'
"Not to disrespect your decision, but I'd be willing to bet that even our weakest mage could duel and win (she nods towards Agnarr's direction as she speaks) Which may be better in the confines of your home, if our best let his magic fly the ship could easily be destroyed."
The dragon scoffs, 'I care not who faces my sorcerer. If he wins, you die. If he loses, you have done me a favor by removing his weakness'
Aoi feels the healing energy Ida has transferred him and focuses on recovering his strength in case he needs to interfere with the upcoming duel.
